What are the assurances if any, that prevent the Cloakdevs from doing what the Voot dev did and leaving? Or Honorcoin Dev... And if you get upset about this question then you are a part of the problem with crypto. And if dagger deletes this post, then he is the problem with crypto. If you can't trust a coin then you can't invest any real money in it with any degree of legitimacy.
There are too many pump and dump coins in crypto for me to be attacked for asking these questions. AND WHY ARE THE IRC PEOPLE STILL BANNED?? WHY DAGGER? You have responsibilities now and cannot just ban people without a discussion because you don't like their valid questions!

Another reason why this might not be a pump and dump is that tons of people are looking for a coin that hides transactions now that the US is trying to regulate the shit out of it. Bitcoin is Napster, Cloakcoin is Kazaa or bearshare. People will switch from one network to the next. I wouldn't be shocked if at some point 1 bitcoin = 1 cloack coin, or 1 darkcoin or 1 keycoin. Before I thought people who thought that were fools. But now I give it a 5 - 10 percent possibility. A figure I've pulled directly out of my asshole.

Because it's normal to be upset when an injustice has occurred like seeing banning occur in IRC for minimal reasons with no discussion or warning. Alty caused this and refuses to be honorable and fix his error when he banned people in IRC because he thought there was some Keycoin FUD campaign going on. But he was wrong and he needs to fix the problem. |

Because Cloak actually DOES have working anon and other tech. You can try it out for yourself with the beta wallet. Is that not enough proof? Of course there are no certainties in crypto. I imagine the dev team will not run off because this is not premine/instamine bullshit. The devs hold coins they have either legitimately mined themselves or bought with their own money. They have reason to continue development, to make the coin more valuable. I don't understand your questions really though, how old are you like 15? You obviously don't understand the risk involved in investing into crypto. THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES OF ANYTHING. This is essentially like gambling. |

It has been claimed that the very short 7 day POW period and the fact that there was a substantial amount of rented rigs purchased at cloakcoin launch....along with relaunch issues.......that this could allow certain individuals to effectively instamine the coin or create an unequal distribution and this seems possible. If true it could pose a risk to investors that they could be dumped on by a secret stash of one of the devs. The fact that they are anonymous increases this risk because anonymous devs can always dump and then just launch new coins later. Although I can kind of understand the desire to remain anonymous IF you thought your coin might have legality issues later on like if it would eventually be used for Darkmarket stuff. But even with this the legal culpability of darkmarket stuff is not on the devs. |
