I'm too busy today to be reading all this cryptomess... But for myself and other exceptional cloak investors, if anyone is up to speed on the general reaction/responses Cloak has been receiving from the darkweb peoples... would kindly share your theories/thoughts on how well Cloak is being received :] Would be massively appreciated.

The overall reaction has been pretty good. Enough to activate a smear campaign from the competing currencies. I actually found the guy who has been going around spreading FUD on the articles, youtube and reddit. He's basically copy/pasting the same thing everywhere. If you take a look at his post history you'll find he's a DRK masternode holder.. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=137623The general consensus is the they want to see PoSA in the wild before they'll come aboard. I can't blame them either with all of the scams and broken promises happening in the altcoin space.

Interesting read, but nothing new really.. They (big money dealing companies) won't go down without a fight... Eventually they will have to adjust their model of business, as people refuse to pay premium for services that can be gotten cheaper or almost free from bitcoin and other coins... which means lower fees for having/using a credit card etc. It's a win-win situation for all (except for the people whose jobs are at stake).... but the world must evolve. -The clever ones will create their own coin or somehow embed themselves in the blockchain(s)... visacoin, mastercardtoken etc. etc. -Their advantage is huge liquidity and the possibility to insure transactions for the buyer (for a fee of course).... -I guess the wise thing for those megacompanies would be to manipulate the bitcoin market, or own as much as they can.. Who knows, maybe they are silently accumulating ?

Who knows, maybe they are silently accumulating ? You never really know though... Some of them could pull a "Blockbuster" and not change their business model and then end up going out of business because it will be too late. I almost guarantee some of them will do that, question is... Who...

You're in early now. Enjoy the ride. I'm with you in regard to the fact that I'm probably high print on any of the last upward spikes in cloak. Hold with conviction. There are 18 BTC between 'last price' and 150k on cryptsy. That is 18x612=11016K. It's not gonna take much to move the market and besides that, there is not more supply available. We may see a mini-bubble in prices, it just happens sometimes.
Bravo to you all with those 12-18K prints.
OK this means nothing, it also does not take much to tank the price back to 18K. In fact, this is true of many altcoins, and the less liquid they are, the easier it is to move the price, but it still means nothing. It means something when you are trying to trade size. It also means more in POS coins where there is a different type of supply than with mine-able coins where the miners come back in and knock the prices back in line.

What should the current linux daemon/-qt versions be, please? I cloned the latest from the github this afternoon and compiled and its version is 1.9.4.1 According to this announcement thread there's a mandatory update at v1.9.6.0.
Is there somewhere else to get linux binaries?

1.9.4.1 is the latest Linux source. I think it has all necessary elements though (minus CloakTrade) so you're okay until they release PoSA and linux binaries for that.

It is not updated. It should be in the new version of the wallet when PoSA is officially released.

It is not updated. It should be in the new version of the wallet when PoSA is officially released. The last commit was 14 days ago - right before 1.9.6 for Windows was released. You can still use it (and people are), it just doesn't have CloakTrade.
