If I stopped mining every time I saw the word scam I wouldn't of mined a single coin in two weeks.
Show me a coin that isn't a scam? I will put my miners in the direction of its pools.
PinkCoin? OPECcoin? Mammoth Coin? Silk Coin?
Where??
bitcoin ops has centralized mining

If this coin was NOT for profit, why not open the source for every miner (also solo miners) and limit the MH/s in the source ?
I am not a coder, so I am hoping a coder can answer this question. Can the MH/s be limited in the source and if that source is released, could it be modified by anyone to remove the limit, thus making it useless?

I'm a miner, not only a pool owner.
And as some of you might have noticed, I run my pools mostly at 0 % fee as a hobby, I'm not "into profits" as some of you posted. If this coin was NOT for profit, why not open the source for every miner (also solo miners) and limit the MH/s in the source ? Why this way ? Well wait, the "official pools" take 1 % fee... aaah i see.. well its probably NOT for profit, its for the sake and peace of mind .. I seee :-)
If you're feeling comfortable with this coin - mine it - I don't, its a (big) scam - simple as that - remember my words.
This coin is for profit almost like any other coin. Limit in the source? Will be removed and recompiled. 1% fee? Most coins have bigger premine without pools owning costs, i would suspect something wrong, if it would be 0%. And as some of you might have noticed, I run my pools mostly at 0 % fee as a hobby, I'm not "into profits" as some of you posted. My respects.

I think that it is really good that pool owners are expressing their opinion about Minerals, regardless whether it is good or bad, as we are all sharing our ideas. I would repeat myself once again - if someone doesn't like the way mining is being organized, then think about Minerals as 100% POS with somewhat unique distribution concept. Probably, it would be even better if pool ops were voicing concerns for coins where their miners are at risk, but this is just an observation.

I am here for the goodness of Crypto. I have been here much longer than anyone and have tried to form a society that is good to move forward. Privatization of crypto will not been tolerated. You may or may not know there is a society of over 150 people, pool owners, exchanges, leaders in crypto that all VETO'd your coin - it is just not me. People will not stand for stuff like this - the scams are already too bad and developers are trying to gain more and more control. It won't happen.
You seem like a nice guy and for that I feel bad that it worked out like this for you. Your idea was probably good on paper but you probably never considered the backlash from the engineering community that created these walelts and crypto in general. Sure miners will mine anything under the sun - they have no idea of the implications. But the people who created crypto are looking out for them. Private sources are not accepted, under any circumstance - that is not crypto anymore.. it is paypal or whatever. We don't want paypals. People want to be able to control their wallets and review source codes. We want public ledgers and pools and exchanges, not backroom bargins and developer 100% control.
You are here for your own profit and everybody see that. You complain about centralization and secrecy but speak about some fantasized secret society of 150 people who decided and "VETO'd this coin"! That is f*cking ridiculous!

At the moment I still think there is a lot of potential here with Minerals, but the dev is going to have to tip toe through the tulips to achieve his goals if they are in fact as they seem. If so, I see this coin gaining great value, as well as setting a precedent for other pools and coin devs to follow to bring to a close the madness that has devalued MOST other Alt coins to date, and benefitted only a very few. It has to stop, and I'm referring to the out of hand rig renters, the multipools, the overall flood of one shit coin after another purely for pump and dump by the above mentioned. Its time for a coin that has some real meaning and a future with a clear usefulness. Oh did I mention I like Star Craft and my son has every version out there, even though since taking up mining I have played very little games lol

I have to get off here and do some chores, but folks hold on to your minerals, the price should be at least double from where it is right now and I expect that should happen soon. Its just my take on things right now, but what do I know? lol later!

Agreed. this coin is drawing a lot of attention, complainers are keep coming back and that shows they are afraid of this coin and the fact that is changing their rules, that tells this coin is not just another shitcoin.

This coin clearly has much potential. Attempting to level the mining playing field is a wonderful idea - it's about time somebody tried that. We'll see where it goes from here. I can understand that the run of the mill pump and dumpers and other coin rapists and destroyers must be worried about this one.

As there is only one exchange, You can do very simple math of how many coins were mined so far and how many of them were dumped. Miners still hold about 3/4+ of them for bigger exchange
