No multipools! maybe I missed something but this fly's in the face of the whole concept. If people want to mine MIN let them join one of the pools already in place through pow phase? Tell me why a multipool should be allowed ...I'm not seeing it.

I'm not sure you understand,  the multipool mines other coins and sells them to BUY MIN from the exchange.  It does not mine MIN directly.
Your saying, min.multipool will mine other coins to purchase MIN and payout will be in MIN. (in the name of protecting the coins value by purchasing large amounts of MIN) Is this not exactly what blackcoinpool.com has been doing with blackcoin after it went POS? look at their stats now... very low miner count, blackcoin is in the toilet in price again.... that concept is basically failing for the most part. Plus the pool operators there, I think got a little greedy with how they used others hash power to mine and then buy and distribute blackcoin as payment. Any miner with any sense saw it was a bit of a rip-off.  For me I still say stay out of the multipool business in everyway shape and form for MIN. Let it be NON-MULTIPOOL if its going to be used as BCPOOL has done. it is failing.
Why not just let the average miners and investors set there own course and nature will do its thing with this coin. NO-MULTIPOOL

Thanks for pointing out joe  Wink

The new and interesting here is that it's 0% fee. Perhaps that would help?

I still don't see how multipool.minerals.pro may harm Minerals. It may bring 0 effect or increase coin price. You may see price is increasing already after multipool ann so its not 0 effect but minor benefit as of now.

its not regular multipool as you might know it
its a multipool for POS coins. It mines darkcoin, trades it for bitcoins, then buys minerals and pays these minerals to miners.
The purpose of this multipool is to allow big wales come end mine minerals is they want. But this time their hashrate can only increase the price of minerals
Regular pools are up and running as well but these pools limit you down to 50 Mh/s
I think the whales are limited do to the way this coin has been mined thus far with the 50mh cap. If there are going to be whales they will only be because they purchased large amounts of MIN from day 1. I don't see how there is any true whales at this point because of the cap. And we want people to buy this coin. I think a min.multipool will not do anything good for this coin. Its holding its own just fine considering the limited access to both mining and trading.

Anybody know when the PoW phase is finished?

less than 10k block = less than 5k minutes = less than 3 days

Thanks!

Yes a 0% fee is good, but then again were right back where we started with only the pool operators making all the profit off of others hash power,,, this has been tried with blackcoin and is failing...just thought this coin was going to be setting a new standard, not falling back in to the same old shit that has been tried and failed. Tired of copy cats. I'm loosing respect for the devs quickly for turning this into another blackcoinpool where only they stand to make big $$$ profits off of suckers mining in the pool.... I'm not happy about all this.

Last point here: When BCpool started up I was mining another alt coin through normal pools earning about .05 BTC per day scrypt. So I thought well lets try bcpool, my payouts for the same hash power fell to .021 with the payout in BC for that same hash power. Ok, well? where the hell was all the other earnings from my hash going?... doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the pool ops where living high on my hash power. Then all the BS of a BC foundation, and pool development fee's etc .So if y'all want to mine in a min.pool go ahead make them some money. Oh and the BS about providing a hedge against whales etc etc is just that BS. blackcoin price is no more stable than any other coin. Lessons learned  Wink

I think the top one is there just to help us getting started, as breaking into a DarkCoin block can be a challenging task.  Wink

proof is in the pudding,  see what your min payouts are for 24 hours compared to mining in a normal pool and with your own hash.... this sucks, I really thought this coin was going to be a normal open and fair market coin with no manipulations,,, I guess not  Angry  yes a multipool buying min for payouts is a manipulation.

That testacc10 is me - I've rented from nicehash 0.5 GH/s for 8 hours at a price 0.6 BTC/GH/day for a total cost of 0.1 BTC. It is there to provide some comfort that blocks will be found

-------

Regarding blackcoinpool - it turned out to be a failure because it was not paying to miners what it was supposed to pay, at least this is how I understood it. However, our multipool is not there to make any profits and that is the reason why fees are zero. Nevertheless, if you guys think that multipool is not necessary at all it is only easier for me as there will be one less headache Smiley
I am gonna update the pool to allow for no multipool vote.

I understand that you are strongly against multipool. I've added it as a vote option.
I personally think that multipool can provide some short-term benefit in terms of price stability but long-term it will probably not have much benefit. People were asking for multipool that is why there is one. I really want to cater to the community but there has to be some consensus what should be done.

If you don't like the idea of multipool you don't have to mine there, there are 6 regular pools to mine until POW ends. People were asking for multipool so dev delivered it. Fine by me, the more options I've got the better.

Agree with MinermanNC.. If the idea of the coin is against multypools, whales and so on.. isn't it double dealing to start one yourself? (I see the reasoning behind its short term advantages, but still.. isn't it more important to stick to initial values?)

I.e. I would vote against it.. I keep my MINs (mined a bit lately and stopped) and would benefit from it, but would prefer to miss that opportunity than play unfair..

its just the wrong word for it. People see word multipool and instantly think of something bad. Should be called POSPool or smth

It's not even multi, it's a DarkCoinPool, isn't it? It's a solopool, Mining Dark and converting it into Minerals as cheap as possible...

I am sure you don't quite understand the concept behind this multipool.minerals.pro as well
As I just said "multipool" is incorrect word and confuses people
Its not regular multipool as we used to know, it mines other coins, trades it on exchanges for minerals and pays you minerals for mining.
