hey paramind what wallet did you download ive had your problems before because there are like 3 different beta versions out there and 2 are on wrong coin forks so they cannot find the correct checkpoints from the main chain here are the ones I am using working great

Wallet QT - https://www.dropbox.com/s/mxlln9ujhpnu5fq/GrowthCoin-Qt%20%281%29.zip?dl=0

Bootstrap - https://www.dropbox.com/s/vdgn0ip7h6rnqu3/bootstrap_2146777.zip?dl=0

Make sure if you have coins in your current wallet you copy your wallet.dat over or make a backup before you change anything

also if anyone wants to help update and develop this coin with me PM me

I don't follow this thread like a hawk so I don't know you well enough to dl your wallet.  Why don't we discuss in this thread restarting the thread with people who everyone knows pretty well then we can talk about an official wallet and bootstraap.

Thanks.  Just so the thread knows, yeahitsme and I are talking in email and we both have some programming background, so are looking to get this started up.  I am involved in some other Token projects so I can't do a lot but this is a great coin and I think it will rise up.  I downloaded the wallet from the OP and it's synching the blockchain again.  I'm ok with it being on a desktop now instead of my laptop as it's a little bit memory hungry for a laptop with other wallets.

Nice to see some positive movement here. And blockchain is pretty alive in a last months. ~14k blocks in 9 days - it is a normal count.)

Trying to here got a personal friend of mine looking through the code at the moment ill hear back in a few days on what he finds to speed up blockchain syncing gonna get ahold of a mod this week to see if we can get all the old GRW posts out of here and consolidate into one with current wallet and bootstrap so people can stop having issues setting up wallets to actually use this trying to bring it into the next era of coins

I download the wallet from the OP and it's syncing with about four connections and without any additional nodes or conf file added.  I did get a "Checkpoint is Too Old" message but it's continuing to download.  Let me know if you have any ideas on this.

I have the same number if its downloading fine I probably would leave it as its downloading the blockchain info it should be syncing itself to checkpoints along the chain to know where and what chain its on if it stops you can go to console in your debug menu and type getcheckpoint and it should check and reset the checkpoints to better ones had that problem once myself the getcheckpoints command fixed it fine

We really need some people to chime in here.  I've been an evangelist for this coin and now it seems the network is dead.  I have never used a peer list before so if that's needed please let's have some more discussion here and help newbies out.   A coin depends on its community.

Close wallet.
Delete file Peers.dat

Edit or create growthcoin.conf;
   remove any existing lines begining with addnode=
   Add the following lines;

addnode=93.40.224.220:17624
addnode=128.199.191.230:17177
addnode=130.204.209.95:17177
addnode=173.246.10.52:17177
addnode=203.20.114.252:17177
addnode=188.226.240.91:38330
addnode=51.254.45.117:39910
addnode=184.164.129.202:62594

Save growthcoin.conf, restart wallet and let it sync, at time of writing I see arround 2194105 blocks.

Okey, let me fire my wallet up and see what I can contribute with. See if it syncs, I'll chime in shortly.

I just checked on the wallet and it said "Not staking because you don't have mature coin" with one connection to the network.  I keep getting these tiny stakes of like .5 and I am wondering if that has made an error.  I did send some together to make bigger blocks but not all, and now it looks like maybe this is what is causing an error with my wallet.

I'm restarting the wallet and hopefully it will sync and I can send all those small blocks into bigger blocks.  I don't know enough about staking wallets and blockchain to know exactly what's going on.

If you sent the coins in smaller amounts then your stake may be correct every time you stake your wallet will say that your not staking as its built into the code that all coins in the wallet have to have been there for 5 days min to stake so adding coins or removing them will reset that ( I'm Pretty Sure) wallets stake timer basically if anyone has sent in multiple payments to their wallet had had a concurrent stake through each transaction let me know but as far as I've seen that is one of the flaws as well as the current stake rewards are based on a time if you were to stake on day 5 your reward will be less percent than if you staked at 356 days which is when you would stake 100% however even the smaller percent should at the end of the year equal out to 100% by years end not knowing your wallet balance its tough to say whether .5 is correct or not just had a stake in one of my wallets that has 40k ish in it 7 days was a tad over 1000 coin stake

Thanks.   Is it normal to only have one connection right now?  Is that just because of the node your wallet is connecting to?

There are two at the moment I am assuming that most people have their wallets closed and are waiting for stake time to re sync and stake also found some interesting stuff that the community should know I have been going through the code to try and setup POW mining and rewards ect. to help push towards wider adoption and a lower interest percent to help increase price of the currently over supplied coin numbers

POW mining is still currently active I just mined my first POW block! so this is still a hybrid coin going to look into changing the rewards scheme for POW & POS soon sorry its taking a long time guys but finding things in this code is kind of throwing me curve balls

EDIT*

Found All The code lines I have been searching for going to make some changes over the next few days deploy to test net to test the rewards scaling and new POS Interest Percentage Will Update Soon

That's good news.   I have some antminers if its sha256 I can help out.  That's one good thing about these older coins.   How much did you get for the block?

this is scrypt based and putting asics on it anyway with how low the diff is will almost certainly make the blockchain stuck atm you can set your wallet to cpu mine using setgenerate true in your wallets console last reward was .18 which is because of the current block halving its havled down to like .22 per block found once I start getting some of the changes impletmented and working on test net I will plan a launch date for everything and get a pool going ect. lots of work in my twilight

Has the transaction actually been added to your list? As far as I can tell - at least when I wrote the message last year - the reward is so low that it's now considered dust.

Atm I'm on live wallet I noticed that someones been mining now as far as I can tell I'm thinking its based off the transaction tax coming back to whomever has their wallet set to generate however these are my working theorys at this point I'm still trying to figure this fishy stuff out here are my first 2  POW Details I have since gotten 3 more POW Payouts if you have any idea exactly how this is working atm get at me this solo deving is tiring lol

EDIT* Currently the POW GRW Network is at 2.9mhs I know I personally am contributing aprx 1.6 of that also after pulling out the faithful calculator it is indeed adding blocks and going into my available funds after conformation
