unick.how to use the new wallet to mine?can you tell me?

To PoW solo mine from a rig, you need to add to your GrowthCoin.conf
Code:
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=192.168.22.*
server=1
rpcport=17178

where 192.168.22.* should be in the subnet of your network.

then use your computer running the wallet's IP, port, username and password from the config file, in cgminer's config to connect.

A new algo is not necessary and is more likely to break things than to give any added value.

GrowthCoin already has diff retarget every block and PoS to secure the chain.  Scrypt as an algo is just fine.

A real conversation that we should have is whether or not we should extend the PoW period after the 37,368,000 coins period with low block reward like 1 coin or something around that range.

Like I said before, GrowthCoin has been around over 10 months, and while it was broken in many ways, the work being done here is mainly to fix all the bugs and bring the wallet with new features and to a higher standard.

I just posted to say I love you (lionel)

Block at 12.5 getting low... now price should be 900 to 1000 for new mined coins if we follow the trend of other coins.

I agree. I just don't have any plans of changing GRW's algo. I believe in the motto: If it ain't broke, don't fix it Wink

With diff retarget at every block and Hybrid PoW/PoS, I believe it's already working pretty well Smiley

I also believe that putting work into bringing a better wallet and fixing current bugs and aiming at a larger market are better use of resources!

New wallet is a little slow, but in another way...

I download all the blockchains from 0, but it is not able to reach the actual final point.
For example now it ia at block 514595, while it seen 523521 as last blocks. Processor is almost 50% usage, as it is generating POS blocks (this is even if not blockchians is completly load, but maybe POS is worinkg in this manner).
I have over 6500 transaction in my wallet (the old's one are before ressurections).
All goes fine in downalod until it starts pos, then it is not able to full syncronize.

The notification area else shows: Warning: checkpoint is too old. wait for blockchains to download, or notify developers

The wallet should not stake if you aren't fully synced. This is on my to-do list to check for bugs.
For now what you can do to prevent staking while synchronizing is to use the reservebalance [<reserve> [amount]] where amount should be higher than your wallet size. once your fully synced up. setback reservebalance to 0.
You can try to shutdown and restart the client, it sometimes help with speed of download.

The notification is normal. you see that message because you are not fully synced up.

you can delete the wallet.dat.and start the wallet.let it full sync.after it full syncing.close the wallet  and put your own wallet.dat into .then start the wallet,it will full pos.

that is a easy way to pos.
