Stupid question that I should know the answer to, but I don't have a whole lot of experience with the daemon... on getinfo is "stake" telling me how many coins have weight?

Not a stupid question, we are all learning things on this journey Smiley

the "stake" tells you how many coins are currently unavailable due to currently being staking.  It's the same "stake" as on the overview tab in the Qt client

Weight is also displayed, funny enough GRW is one of the few wallets I've seen it with (maybe also HBN and CAP), under Coin Control. This column here:

Yep weight is a unique addition, that if I am not mistaken was originally added by Tranz on HBN.  Since HBN flies under the radar, only HBN watchers have added it to wallets.

The 1.3.0.0beta wallet is greeeeeeeeeat, it even has version 1.3.0.0 in the file info when checking it out with windows explorer/file manager, so
you don't even have to start it to know which version it is. I've always needed that, because otherwise I had to compare dates/sizes to know
if they were another version. Still you couldn't tell exactly which version you had, since it can only be displayed when you have started the QT GUI.

Please, if you believe my post is abusive, PM me and I'll remove it.

Presstab and I are launching an experimental coin, Hyperstake. This is a high-PoS coin and since a lot of high-PoS aficionados are on several coins at once, I believe it would be interesting to tell you.
To buy HYP before Sunday evening, you must buy TRK (you can sell them later if you want, or just stake, up to you). After, market will be the only way (multipool could be considered - this is all about community, experimentation and... fun!).
Hyperstake shall act as a sandbox for other more regular coin, a testbed for technologies. My first hyperstake post lists the various experiments we are conducting.

Please, if you believe my post is abusive, PM me and I'll remove it.

Monero: the first crytocurrency to bring bank secrecy and net neutrality to the blockchain.HyperStake: pushing the limits of staking.

Unick have you ever gotten a block in less than 9 days?  I think this might have the same bug in the code that HyperStake has where it doesn't matter what the min age is, it will take 9 days min.

I had 2 pos blocks at 8 days 22 hours today/last night, but generally ~9 days do seem to be the norm

No I haven't. This is an odd behaviour. I'm still digging to figure out the source of this

Ghostlander found the bug it looks like and fixed it in orbitcoin. https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/13185-certain-pos-coins-unable-to-stake-in-under-9-days/

Does require a hardfork though.

lol,

there seems to be an issue with staking that doesn't allow mature coins (after 5 days) to stake until they reach around 9 days of age.

ghostlander seems to have solved the issue. I still need to look into that.
