Developers & Communities looking for a Multipool

We are always looking to add additional payout options for our miners. We do not and can not add every coin and require a 1.5 BTC fee to be listed. Paying out different currencies is not a trivial task such as mining different currencies is. This is why there is a fee. It is also to help weed out coins that do not have large, loyal and matured communities. Not only will your currency be listed on a reliable, stable and trustworthy multipool, it guarantee's your currency will stay listed as a payout option for at least 3 months. If support is still strong after that, it will stay listed indefinitely, so long as there is support for it.

Your coin must be listed on at least one of these exchanges: Bittrex or Poloinex  and have sufficient amount of volume to prevent delisting

How does it work?

xpool offers 4 different sets of coins to mine. SHA256, Scrypt, X11 and Lyra2REv2.  Mined and confirmed coins are traded automatically to maximize the profits from exchanging them into payout currencies.

As the pool picks up more hashing speed payouts will be more frequent. Currently payouts for exchanged coins is daily, Monday to Friday. For any coins miners wish to keep, payouts are every ~6 hours, including DASH.

If a DASH block is found, there's no exchanging or loss of fees as it can simply be paid out to the X11 DASH miners.

The advantage of the pool is that you can utilize your older ASIC equipment to earn either BTC/LTC/NXT/BTCD/DASH/FIBRE/BITS/VTC/VRC.

Privacy Tip - My pool has the ability to hide your address from the leaderboard however this only works with bitcoin derived coins as the only way to update your account is by using the wallets sign message feature. However, one of the settings and feature of my site, is the ability to split your mining to any other currencies I pay out in. So all you have to do is mine with any other address aside from NXT, then split your payout to 100% NXT and voila all your shares will be converted and sent as NXT.

We've added 3 X11 coins to the pool now. Crypt, Dark and Glyph!

I am having an issue using your pool with my scrypt asics.   I am able to mine with them at other pools fine but for some reason at your pool they stop sharing after about 30-60 seconds after being connected to the pool.

My GPU's work flawlessly and my Gridseed works flawlessly, but my Fury/Zeus asics will not continue to function right.   They connect, start to get accepts, hashrate shows normal, then after about 30-60 seconds I stop getting accepted shares and all that happens it that the miners show blocks being detected and difficulty changes but from that point on I never get another accepted share (or rejected for that matter).

Anyhow, I am unsure what the issue is.  I mine with them at other pools fine but I would prefer to use your pool but can't resolve this issue.

My user is Xucx3DWXsPyjpx1y9T34V1e7pwPK8t8RPw if that helps.

Its just weird because my (1) Gridseed hashing at 300+ Kh/s does better at your pool than my (2) Furys at 2.4 Mh/s and I am baffled.

Examples below.   

Fury's are top left.  Gridseed to the right, and GPU's on the bottom.   Notice how the Fury's are stuck at detecting new blocks and difficulty changes.   They were getting 1.2+ Mh/s each and accepted shares upon connecting, then after about 30 seconds they have been in this state.   If I use any other pool I don't have this problem.

We've updated the stratum VARDIFF calculations to stick with x2 adjustments. Some of you have expressed that your miners behave a little weird with the more specific adjustments. So now you will notice your diff will be 2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256 etc....

Some other pool (Multipool, it think) is using the password to set the difficulty.  So if the user's password is set to d=4096 then they can get a static difficulty.  Would that be hard for you to implement?  Just curious because it would help my hashrate stabilize.

Ahh yeha, it is clever but takes a fair bit of customizations so  I try and tweak vardiff accordingly but I can only fix what people tell me is a problem No one's ever asked me so it just been that way. I don't mind trying to better the current vardiff setting. What diff are you running at mostly? It is going too high? The way I have it set now is I want your miner to submit shares every 5 seconds and adjusts every 30 seconds if your diff is way off target. It will allow for a variance of 30%, so if your miner fluctuates more than that, it might keep changing every 30 seconds....

So, let me try submit shares every 10s, 35% vari and adjustments every 60 seconds.... and a MAX diff of 4096

OK.  It looks like we may have hopped to a new coin.  I have never been lucky to catch it at that moment.  I have BFGminer running for 13 hours @ 187Mh.  Typically when I ssh, I find that the difficulty is 62m, 125m, 250m.  Maybe jumping around between those.  (I believe that 4096 is 62m, right?)

Just now logging on, the difficulty was at 9u or some very low ridiculus low number the way it usually does when I reboot the system.  Typically when I randomly log in, I see the value much higher.  I am just guessing that we did a coin swap and not that my system rebooted since the 13hr timer is still running and all my stats are there.

I am not sure there is an easy solution.  I think the vardiff works fine, it just takes a while to ramp up.  if we hop coins a lot, then the hashes slow down for me.  I understand.  Staying in a single coin with a static difficulty would be better for me, but I have a scrypt miner and I want darkcoin.  Your pool is the best way I have found (especially if the return is comprable).  I mined with multipool for a while, but the cryptsy conversion is a hassle and there are fees there, too.

I will be watching for the time between difficulty changes and let you know.

I see the max difficulty at 62m.  In the short time I have been watching it is looking very good.  maybe a 10% boost in hash.  Thank you!

how often does your difficulty change? I can tweak the vardiff, and perhaps the max was too high... of 16k

It changes often, but I have not timed it exactly.  I am not asking for a tweak just for me.  Go ahead and leave it as-is.  I just thought the password idea was clever.  I am going to stick to this pool for a few days to see how it compares.  I like your design.  Thanks again.

Ahh yeha, it is clever but takes a fair bit of customizations so  I try and tweak vardiff accordingly but I can only fix what people tell me is a problem No one's ever asked me so it just been that way. I don't mind trying to better the current vardiff setting. What diff are you running at mostly? It is going too high? The way I have it set now is I want your miner to submit shares every 5 seconds and adjusts every 30 seconds if your diff is way off target. It will allow for a variance of 30%, so if your miner fluctuates more than that, it might keep changing every 30 seconds....

So, let me try submit shares every 10s, 35% vari and adjustments every 60 seconds.... and a MAX diff of 4096

OK.  It looks like we may have hopped to a new coin.  I have never been lucky to catch it at that moment.  I have BFGminer running for 13 hours @ 187Mh.  Typically when I ssh, I find that the difficulty is 62m, 125m, 250m.  Maybe jumping around between those.  (I believe that 4096 is 62m, right?)

Just now logging on, the difficulty was at 9u or some very low ridiculus low number the way it usually does when I reboot the system.  Typically when I randomly log in, I see the value much higher.  I am just guessing that we did a coin swap and not that my system rebooted since the 13hr timer is still running and all my stats are there.

I am not sure there is an easy solution.  I think the vardiff works fine, it just takes a while to ramp up.  if we hop coins a lot, then the hashes slow down for me.  I understand.  Staying in a single coin with a static difficulty would be better for me, but I have a scrypt miner and I want darkcoin.  Your pool is the best way I have found (especially if the return is comprable).  I mined with multipool for a while, but the cryptsy conversion is a hassle and there are fees there, too.

I will be watching for the time between difficulty changes and let you know.

I see the max difficulty at 62m.  In the short time I have been watching it is looking very good.  maybe a 10% boost in hash.  Thank you!

Ok, I like the sounds of that. Love when the tweaks squeeze out more hash.

28 is your share of them payout. I have had no reports of issues using any particular miners so please mine and let me know if you see issues.

So you only mines for an hour, so  that looks about right. As I mentioned earlier today in another post. Hash rates are calculated against everyone else for the whole shift. So your one hour of mining @2-300 mh = the same as mining the whole shift @ 9mh (48 hours)

Scrypt support has doubled and currently 800m/h+ and over the weekend is was 1.2Gh/s. Great work! The pay outs for the weekend shift resulted in a big jump, from the typical 10-12DRK, to nearly 50DRK!

SHA is holding steady as around 10-13Th/s but X11 is still struggling ~400-500Mh/s. Would love too see 1Gh/s+ added to X11 and boost the DRK payouts considerably.

I'm trying to dedicate 256Mhs to the BTCD and 256Mhs to the DRK pool. Im using 2 Ares256. When I point them to your pools they hash at a very low rate and then they stop hashing. Do you have a port dedicated to highspeed scrypt asics? I have a steady 6TH pointed at your SHA256 port and that seems to be running fine. Just need a little help getting the scrypt units going. This is happening on both pools? Strange... I've had KnC Titan's on the pools without issue so it should be able to handle these, though I've never heard of them before. It should be able to handle them but right now, I'm not able to supply a dedicated port.

The starting diff is 64. The server will keep adjusting the diff every 120 seconds until your miner can submit shares to the pool every 8 seconds and will allow for 30% variance in that time. So really the pool will allow you to submit shares every 6-10 seconds without changing your diff.

This just went into effect, so let me know if it behaves any different...

Certainly. Just added the separate workername to the end of your wallet address on each of your rigs. Like this:

So.. Here's a little conundrum...

When I first started mining I pointed my DRK pay-out to an address on Cryptonator so it would be easier for me to convert to BTC and rent some more mining time. Now I see in order to send a donation I must "sign" a transaction. Unfortunately Cryptonator doesn't provide this feature. I DO have a Darkcoin-QT wallet locally and I'm willing to transfer to that with all the mining. Is that what I should do in order to edit my account? How would I move the earned mining funds to the new address? Do I just wait for the payout to the Cryptonator account and then just move the funds to my local wallet?

I'd like to donate a percentage to the XPool site. Please advise.

I've had some feedback from some Titan miners which were having some issues with lower efficiency. Mainly due to lower diff coins causing way too many stale and rejects cause the Titan can literally solve sooo many blocks from one round of work.

So I just got finished the re-coding of the profit calculations. This will allow me to now setup separate ports calculating the profitability independently of each port. I'll let this run a day or so just to make sure, in it's basic form, is making accurate profitability calculations. Then I can create an additional Titan port which will have only high diff coins. The normal vardiff will include all coins and perhaps then I'll make some low diff port as well and bring back some of the low diff coins for slow miners to bang off some blocks easily.

This will give a bit more flexibility to miners and improve efficiency.

If there were 20,000 with a tiny bit of processing power each all joined up efficiently, would you still be able to harness this power in a pool? The thread above might be worth looking at, if you can code in Abracadabra then you might be able to get a big headstart.

I would report the issue to the rental site. Your miner connected at that time, but did not submit any work after the initial authorization.

Might I suggest not to use SHA rentals. They are far from profitable.  Most sites are charging 0.01 per BTC/TH/Day which is typically twice as much as you can earn.

Right now, the best algo to rent is X11 as long as it's under 0.4 BTC/GH/Day and the best place to rent from is here: https://goo.gl/pIf7Vj

And you rent hash not miners, so you only pay for what they deliver.

Should only be about 2-3% if you're using the suggested configuration. Check out the FAQ for the specifics.

Right, currently signing is not possible with NXT and LTC. What you would have to do is mine with a BTC address (1* not multisig 3*)... Then you can set your split to 100% NXT and then you can set whatever addresses you also want to keep the coins...

Sorry, not any other way around the issue with NXT.

Lyra2REv2 pool is doing well although it could probably use a few more miners to make it more competitive with the other vertcoin pools.  Any updates on making it so I can use coinbase to sign signatures?  Downloading a wallet that doesn't stake just so I have the ability sign messages to change settings sounds like a lot of work.

Yeah, hopfeully more miners will trickle in. We've seen a 15% increase in miners over the past 2 weeks so it continue to grow.

No plans to expand on the methods of updating account settings. It's tricky enough figuring out what LTC did to their wallet to make the signatures fail. Having to work against an online service would add another layer of complexities.

The developers said this is the way it was intended so, its working as it should. I'll look into having it modified so if there are addresses set, to always send those coins, regardless of split.

ur claimed payout on pool stats is way above what i got, like almost 4x more than what i got per day.
unless that payout stat is based on the whole 4 days and not per day which would make ur pool extremely unprofitable/unlucky for lyra2.
and even more so for all the other algos especially x11(based on payout stats on pool stats page).
im not trying to speak badly of ur pool or anything but u should be far more profitable.
maybe just need to do some optimizations or something? but those payout stats should be closer to each day.

It has been on par or better than nicehash. I'm not sure what other pools average is but I suspect it should be fairly similar.

We've spent a considerable amount of time over the past several months testing the payouts by renting hash below what xpool's profitability was and we always ended up earning more.

We agree there could be more Lyra miners to make for a more predicable and consistent profitability but the luck goes both ways and typically works out just the same or more over time.

I mine on this pool with my single gpu, and have noticed there is a lot of a luck factor.  Some days are really good, and some days are not so good.  You can check the luck of the current block on the pool stat page.  The current block is at 46% and the last block was at 42%, and the block before that was at 64%.  Payout probably isn't going to be great today, and part of the reason that the pool stats were so high for the previous 4 days was because those were very lucky days.  I think more hash on the Lyra2REv2 pool would make luck better and profits more consistent would be getting more hash on this pool, because 250 MH/s isn't enough to be competitive on Vertcoin when diff goes high and other pools have 2 GH/s.

Mostly for me! Since I'm not longer using Cryptsy! But yes, it has a more advance payout schedule. zpool is capable of directing fractional bits of hash over to various coins at the same time. Will be seen better once more miners are on it. It allows us to use low diff coins without killing their network and also avoiding generating excessive amounts of orphans due to low diff and high hashrate.

It's called the miners multipool because only coins that have PoW are listed. Miners that mine using addresses of one of the other coins we mine can get paid in that currency but it's solely dependent on that coin also getting mined. So while you can get paid out in other currencies that we mine, it's not always guaranteed since they may not be profitable and we'd have no reserve to pay from which is how it works. Coins show up in red when that happens. Easiest to stick with BTC.

Sounds like a better plan to me.   Seems like it will be a little more consistent in the end;  and when the diff is low, it wont keep flooding through blocks "wasting hash" and causing issues....   I totally see the idea behind it after explained.

When I get my net connection back at the ranch, ill point my meager amount there =)   I am happy about the Lyra2Re addition.  I watched my payouts almost double just by transferring my X11 to Lyra.



This is another curious notion:  On Nvidia cards it seems there is one individual piece of software that are optimized for only really one type of algo.   Would you think that the profit switching "script" on my end will work okay with multiple executables over many directories?  I assume I would have to add full paths to the batch file, etc.

I am working with the GTX980; so that's my reason for concern;  even though there's a lot better support for my graphics card nowadays,(10+Mh on any algo, months ago i couldn't get more than 6Mh Lyra2re on it)  I still must be weary.   One major issue for me is the Power state setting in my video card.    If I try to force P0 (highest performance);  it crashes my pc.   The most I can get is P2 when running mining apps;   They automatically force P2 state and not P0.  But even with P2 I am getting very decent hashrates.    The major issue in this is if I am using the machine (viewing a video) [or even unpredictably more often] and simply close the miner and re-start for something like an intensity change, it will force the power state to an even lower level (higher P number) and I wont see more than 3-4MH until I reboot the PC or forcibly re-initialize the driver with an nvidia tool and break most other features in the OS (flash videos, 2d/3d apps, etc).

This is my main concern when profit switching on my machine with a GTX980;  when closing and starting a mining app it will often switch to a lower power state and totally chop performance to a fraction of what it should be.  When unattended as my pc is when I'm not home;  This could spell disaster for my output.

We no long exchange ANY coins with Cryptsy. Given the track record over the last 1.5 years, this should mean, there will be next to no delays in payouts again. Cryptsy was always to blame and now we feel much better not having to worry about them.

We suggest everyone avoid Cryptsy as much as you can. The reason they stripped out trading fee's is to make it seem like their markets are higher priced. So they bank on automated systems to always put them on top to sell coins. But what is happening is, it is trapping your BTC with them, forcing you to buy alts again to get out, which artificially inflate the prices on their exchanges. Don't fall for their trap because they steal +100x more in withdraw fee's than they ever did in trading fee's.

Last nights blocks found by the pool were not processed until after the payout was initiated. One of the blockcheck scripts (switches blocks from unconfirmed to confirmed/orphan) was hung up so those coins wern't sent to exchanges. Tomorrows payout will be a bump

We will be working on testing and enabling full automation. Until now it was impossible with the incompetent exchange Cryptsy. What this means, is that payouts will be daily, 7 days a week initially and if it runs smoothly, payouts will be bumped to twice a day. It may happen that for some payout currencies, there isn't enough BTC earned in the 12 hours to perform a successful exchange so the balances are simply carried over until the next payout. This also means, I'm no longer going to post daily payout stats. Make sure you check the FAQ for typical Q/A such as minimum payouts etc...

The pool has been chugging along nicely without Cryptsy. We've again bumped up the frequency of payouts to every 6 hours.

If you have not already done so, I would suggest you get out of Cryptsy and move somewhere else. They are ripoff artists and the headaches they make are not worth it. We're doing much much better without having to deal with their BS.

Thanks for your support. It's good thing you couldn't see the back end work needed to keep it going. It certainly had it benefits, it truly was stable and reliable just really high maintenance and exhaustive adding/disabling coins.
