Anyway polo do a bad advisement on supercoin. But it is still a advisement.

It seems the super community is asking for busoni/polx to sadd SUPER
If & when busoni adds Super will it help compensate for the things already done?

My clients did what  any reasonable investor would do with half a brain perform
Due diligence before making any decisions.

They also felt what busoni did may have been a "bit pre-mature",
but not without giving him the recognition he deserves
For lookin into something that may have seem a bit suspect.

not only cunni and sc, in many pos coins. And it's not a real problem, or even a problem.

Here is the updated specs after hard fork.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=618552.msg7273647#msg7273647

Here is the dev stating that it's now 1/3 of the old plan.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=618552.msg7266883#msg7266883

To me, it's just them forgetting to change it. Code checked out by multiple people now.

@busoni, you should have consulted with the dev first as you obviously didn't even know about the hard fork.

aka: the cover up damage control campaign.

you can't say one thing and do another and get caught then make excuses.

what OP said is dead on 100% accurate and it LOOKS bad !

the smoking gun is the coin it was cloned from did not use that large value.. so they can NOT claim it was left over code.
they are caught red handed setting that value that contradicts the official coin specs..

and hey guess what mouthy idiots..

it's his fucking job to go and check what the official coin specs are and verify them in the source code !
more than many exchanges usually do lol

I applaud him ..good job !

AMEN! good job busoni, sloppy punk ass pumpers deserve to get caught, now their bitching and moaning for losing haha!

You're timing is off just a bit. SC and CINNI added before their proclaimation of checking coin code/due diligence.

Busoni I've been a supporter of polo and your word has weight on me and many. I took your word for it and panic sold, I lost over 13 BTC over this crap.

06/14/2014 04:27:41 PM   Sell   0.00001799   224347.58707523   224347.58707523   0.00001916   4.28953655

Im really upset over the way your announcement was handled. I totally understood your concerned but to come out and post it and imply that something fishy was going on and now to see you backtrack is very devastating. We were #1 on polo voting so who in the world would ever think that something catastrophic would happen.

I hold u totally responsible for what happened to me and I hope you do the right thing. U totally destroyed me and my family this was over 6k USD in btc.
I lost 0.7BTC Cry

I bought 6 BTC, many thanks for your cheap coins. Grin

haha, serious, ok i lost 100 btc, gtfo that's your fault, dumb trader or pumper, your fault and noone elses, polo didnt kill super, super and pumpers killed super, bottom line, his exchange his rules, go try mp or crapsy lol

Busoni should just admit his mistake and update the thread type and op with an apology. Simple.

All you guys screaming bloody murder about lost funds, where just waiting to dump your bags Monday when it was listed, so some noob is fleeced, and you move onto the next coin,
I lost money on super, but its not the first time and i know its not going to be the last time, But good on you Busoni ! the flow of shit must be stopped, No one is game to buy a coin with the intention of holding it.
Only so many currencies can be supported, some have got to go, If it is not above board, why not make this the first one, you gotta start somewhere!!

As mentioned earlier, max coins mean nothing if the coin generation formula stops earlier. There is no magic way for the dev to create coins out of thin air and if it was a case of doing it with a hard fork, he could update the number of coins as well.

However, it is the right of an exchange to list whatever coins they want and not list those that look shady to them for whatever reason. It is also their right to say why they reject a coin - no matter if it "hurts" the market or not. If a coin is vulnerable to critique of this kind, perhaps it's not so good of a coin anyway.

Poloniex has decided not to list SuperCoin because of some disturbing things we turned up in our code review. I would like to draw your attention to this part of the ANN post:

Quote
- Total PoW coins will be 18.2 millions.
- Total coins (including PoS) will be about 50,000,000.

And these parts of the source code:

Code:
if (dAmount <= 0.0 || dAmount > 150000000.0)

Code:
static const int64_t MAX_MONEY = 150000000 * COIN;
static const int64_t POW_MAX_MONEY = 50000000 * COIN;

MAX_MONEY is pretty much what it sounds like. This means that the actual maximum supply of SuperCoin is 150 million, not 50 million. Furthermore, the maximum PoW coins is 50 million, rather than the claimed 18.2 million. The 150 million number appears twice in the code, so it can hardly be considered an accident.

We did not find evidence of an existing hidden premine, but extra coins could potentially be minted all at once at the end of the PoW phase, sent to exchanges via the "anon" feature, and dumped.

We have other concerns about the coin, particularly concerning the proposed method of anonymity, but the shenanigans with the maximum supply is sufficient for us to reject this coin.

why did not you try to contact me before for explanation

why would he ?

you posted false information and you knew it and your behavior backs his point.
you are playing the angle that what you did (which you are admitting to) was a part of a bigger plan.. EXCUSE = AFTER THE FACT
i suspect you had no plan and coincidentally made this up as an excuse because you were caught red handed mid-scam.
What i am pointing out here is real world common sense and very real plausibility.
It's simply ridiculous bullshit in my eyes he catches you screwing around and you decide to cover it up and say oh well well well.. with excuses
and then try and shift the blame squarely on him and only him..
when the blame is yours and yours alone coin cloner.
he was just doing his job.. and you were not doing yours !

keep up the spin.. but bear in mind only so many of us here are your gullible patsy's
and people have you not noticed how ballsy these cloners have gotten with coding in cheats ?
we have already caught a lot of these guys pulling scammy stunts with code
and this new random coin named coin cloner is saying.. oh well i'm different..
LOL sure you are.. if you were different you would not have gotten caught period.
And you wouldn't be involved in any other coins wrapped up in scams now would ya ?
For example the very coin your coin was cloned from that i couldn't even get the get the GitHub code too (deleted Github Repo / because of drama)
Honorcoin.. i don't suppose you were behind that drama too were you ?
Hmm kinda funny you chose that Altcoin of ALL altcoins out there to clone for your new "honest" coin lol
hmm i guess it's just a coincidence huh ? all them conspiracy guys are picking on me boo hoooooooooo

Coin cloner and no i will not call you "dev" you didn't earn the title as far as i am concerned.
You can man up and accept blame FOR YOUR ACTIONS.
And stop trying to blame busoni for your dumb bs you got caught pulling..
You have lost even more respect from many us by trying to pin the blame on him.
Take your shitty doomed and destroyed anonymous scam coin and fuck off please.

If it walks like a duck.. sounds like a duck.. then quit flying south for winter saying it's a coincidence..

You are losing respect with every post also imo.

He didn't get caught with anything. Did you even read what that code means?
It showed that busoni jumped the gun on a piece of code that meant nothing.

Every coin including Bitcoin can become a scam overnight by a hard fork from its trusted devs.

He didn't post false information... Busoni and obviously you do not understand the bitcoin source code apparently.  MAX_COINS is totally irrelevant and the OP is garbage.

I'm going to clue in that Spoetnik is an idiot troll tho, and just put him on ignore.

Busoni certainly appears to have jumped the gun on this one.  Initially I was encouraged by the fact they are reviewing source code... but as I thought about it and looked at the code myself, I realized Busoni and Poloniex to be unprofessional fools.

---

This said, I would never use SUPER because of the anon method they have apparently chosen to pursue...

Ring signatures for spends and stealth addresses for receiving payments - this is what a good anonymous solution looks like.

You do realize by now that MAX_MONEY is a poorly-named identifier?  It does not limit the number of coins.  If dude was trying to do what you're accusing him of trying to do, then he's ignorant.  Not implying that you're ignorant, but if it quacks like a duck...
