And if he is successful in his greedy tactic he not only destroys NXT, but also BTER, and with it CRYPTI.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. My BTC withdrawal from BTER is still being processed (despite being executed about 45 minutes ago). Crypti price is in freefall. BTER are being outbid by a renegade trader in the ransom negotiations. Deep man. Plus I lost a pile of BTC when selling XCR cheap before knowing whether the hack vector is shut down

I'm in the same boat...

Although I'm having doubts if I'll see my BTC again (stuck in withdrawal), it's kind of amusing to see this go one. This is why I love crypto, wild wild west. But still, rather have my money back

If Bter is forced to close I don't see why it would affect Crypti. Bter doesn't even have any Crypti do they? I think they just have the tokens which people are trading, so unless they refuse to cooperate with the Crypti team for no good reason everything will be ok.

I disagree. Delays before the Crypti wallet release have ensured the blockchain will be rock solid. I feel so sorry for traders who have lost money here and for the Crypti devs who so richly deserve recognition for their excellent achievement.

If I am right, BTER still has the 750 bitcoins for the IPO.

You put it better than I. I agree wholeheartedly. Crypti is safe. It was always safe and having dodged the NXT/BTER hack is doubly safe.

Are you crazy. Everyone that is interested in Crypti will lose money on this BTER shit. And you think this will not affect Crypti?

When BTER goes down they will not cooperate with anybody, including Crypti. Bankrupt = bankrupt. So the whole presale is fucked, people lost money and Crypti is tainted. Good luck trying to deal with that (unfortunately)

There is no point selling XCR for the hopes of withdrawing BTC.

Either the situation has a positive outcome in which case you undersold your XCR and cannot get back in

or

The situation has a negative outcome in which everything is lost anyways.

Better to hold XCR imo.

Guys, Bter has shown in the past that they will not run away with the money! The 750 BTC from the IPO are safe!

If they close down, some other escrow will receive the money and Crypti will look for another exchange!

If BTER goes out of business hope it helps to distribute the crypti and take some BTCs for it

But I don't really think BTER will go out of business. They have 750 BTCs + 100s of Bitcoins of investors' funds which means they are not bankrupt

They should be well-funded and capital should not be hard to get. As we're dealing with the Chinese Smiley

Don't you know how things work?

They lost 50million NXT and paid the hacker 100 BTC. Probably not from their own money but from our money. Just like a normal bank they have a small percentage 'own' money compared to 'lend' money. Probably even less then a normal bank. What's going on now is a proper bankrun. Everybody tried to withdraw their BTC and will do when it's possible again. Now BTER can't pay everyone back because they lack own funds and will go bankrupt. Or do you think they've got thousands of BTC 'owned'.  Roll Eyes
