Install and run NXT wallet which rollbacks hacker's account and transaction only, like it never happened. That, or risk losing everything you had at Bter. Sure NXT might drop in price so what? It became overpriced too fast anyway, making dozens of morons super rich and super greedy. https://nxtforum.org/nrs-releases/nrs-v1-2-5b+1! Already installed it. I believe it help Bter to survive. Only Bter account's outgoing transactions will be erased.

Well, I wake up after a nights sleep and the planes have hit the towers again.
After catching up on the last 5 pages of posts written in the last 6 hours, I would like to point out several items:
1 ) CRYPTI can survive this, as a coin, because no pre-sale investor in XCR has truly lost any money, yet. Some have sold at less than the high at 2500, but still made BTC on the sale. That is called "investing". If you bought in at 2000 and sold at 1300.... thats called trading, you pay your money and you take your chance.
2 ) The XCR devs stand to lose the most, becuz their 750 BTC is at Bter. If Bter takes a walk, the BTC disappears. We investors also lose our BTC invested. We can still get our XCR from the devs directly into the wallet, but the devs will be operating without funds they were counting on from the pre-sale. They do have 15million XCR left in the genesis block worth 150BTC at 1000 satoshi per XCR. Not a lot by comparison, but something.
3 ) XCR can be launched on another exchange. Since the development is now complete, the wallets would be available, and investors could buy actual coins, not tokens. However, after losing BTC in the first launch, who would buy in?
4 ) the maxmint investors are sitting pretty good now.
5 ) Culturally, the Chinese tend to act with a herd mentality. Bank runs are common in Hong Kong, often started with a rumor. Remember the iodized salt buying panic in China after the Fukushima melt down? The price of coins on Bter is dropping due to the "sell and get out" mentality of the account holders.
6 ) Despite world events, value always rises to the top. If you hold something of real value, it may become momentarily worthless, but in time will regain and surpass its pre-disaster value. Example: Gold is of little value to a thirsty man in the middle of the desert, but is of great value once that man reaches civilization.
So, my advice is to just sit tight and wait. There is nothing you can do to help the situation, you can only make panic decisions that will hurt you. Remember what I posted days ago about trading on emotion?

Bter update
Bter are currently busy integrating the new NXT client, and have not provided us with the new Bter Crypti address for the genesis block yet. Moreover, they did not have time to work on integrating the Crypti mainnet version.
In light of the above, we elected to postpone the Crypti launch as well, and will update the community with the date, once we hear from Bter regarding the above two items.
Crypti safety
There was a possibility raised in this thread, that Crypti on Bter might have been affected by this attack as well. This however impossible, as Crypti was only supposed to be launched today night, and so far exist in genesis block form only. Due to this event, the Bter account holding these Crypti will be changed in genesis block, ensuring the attacker won't be able to access it.
You probably do should change your password on Bter ASAP, and also enable 2 factor authentication, if you still don't have it.
Also, for these withdrawing Crypti to their wallets from Bter (once possible), we strongly recommend enabling the second pass phrase for sends, as it will provide an additional layer of security.

NXT must be "killed" because initial distribution was wrong. Incompetent luckers made millions and then stopped redistributing coins - time to drop NXT price so other people can join for cheaper else NXT community and NXT itself are doomed. It makes no difference how good some coin is, if community consists of only a few whales and dozens of cheap bitches licking whales' asses than coin is going nowhere. Sure they can manipulate trades and trade volume to have top 4 marketcap but marketcap is irrelevant in bigger picture.
It will be the same for Crypti but cost a little more. I can buy almost a million Crypti which is 1% and I'm not rich by any means. It seems that no matter where you go there will always be whales that collect, hold and dump some time later. Whales are not the problem, stupid people are. People like ones who got lucky (bought millions of NXT at few Satoshi) and then just do nothing - no contribution to coin at all. If you look at NXT forums you will see how few people there are actualy doing something - and not all those people are majority stakeholders, some might have a few thousands NXT at best.

Looks like rollback option is gaining traction. This is in our best interests.
Also, if I had NXT right now I'd be rushing to purchase assets to preserve my purchasing power as NXT price will collapse. NEMstake is a good bet.

It was an editting of the blockchain, not a rollback. ok editing of the blockchain my mistake. Apparently it's called a reorganization of the blockchain and is built into the protocol if it happens within 720 blocks. Beyond 720 blocks it would be termed a rollback.

Bter.com Exchange @btercom
We have decided not to rollback but get the stolen funds back from the hacker since we have got lots of information of him.
That means they are sending the gangsters over to have a little talk with him.

The situation that we are in is a difficult one both for us investors and developers alike. The main problem here is that the whole IPO and subsequently the launch and initial distribution of Crypti is wholly dependent on BTER.
From the Crypti developers point of view the 750 BTC worth of IPO funds hangs under BTER's control, and judging from what has just happened with the recent hack, being concerned would be an understatement.
From our point of view as investors our returns are wholly dependent on the BTC/XCR market which at this point in time are not backed by actual XCR, therefore the entire market is tied to BTER since here is nothing that can be withdrawn or moved to other exchanges. So we are in the same boat as the Crypti developers here.
I've been here from the start of the IPO and to me the only thing that has held back virtually every task the Crypti team have attempted to complete whether it be the Ledger, Trading market, API (for distribution) has been BTER. BTER has been the single bottleneck in this whole process (excluding the recent delay by the developers). Their laid-back approach towards the handling of this IPO process and their security is downright pathetic, I could care less if they went bankrupt and never conducted a single further trade ever again.
