good to know that this is just a temporary thing but what's the reason for it?

A temporary precaution by Bter, as we just have launched the mainnet.

Best just to download straight to Ubuntu machine via:
wget http://downloads.crypti.me/crypti-node/0.1.x/crypti-linux-0.1.3.zip

Updated in instructions.

Ok, That worked for me. I am able now to see my node at http://54.191.231.161:6040/. However, when I change my secretPhrase to a 100 character phrase with only upper case, lower case and numbers, then restart; I can no longer view the wallet. One thing to note is that I haven't moved my XCR from bter yet. Do I have to use the same 100 character phrase at wallet.crypti.me:6040 first to get the account number, transfer from bter to that account number in order prove i own over 1000 xcr? And then my node will be recognized and thus operate?

Cant withdraw at Bter now.  Keep getting "Invalid Fund password"

You input your wrong Fund password. It's your 4-digit-pin that you entered when you signed up.

The same happened to me a few hours ago even though I knew I was using the right password. I reset it to the same password and was able to get in. </shrugs>

SyRenity, is there a private support email or other way to contact you regarding a problem I've encountered just now?

Please email us at dev@crypti.me.

Also you can fill the issues here (however they will be visible):
https://github.com/crypti/crypti-public/issues

Pls check the email you supplied, I have written you there.

Is Version 0.1.4 expected to be released today?

What's changed for there to be a 0.1.4 already?

The next item in our ToDo list is a block-chain explorer, we will start working on it next week, once we ensured the Crypti mainnet is fully stable.

I was under the impression that the devs were working on blockchain async issues.

We are working on a new version that resolves block-chain sync automatically, will post it once we finished and tested it.
