Now there are a lot of analytical articles about the fact that NEM will become a real competitor for ETH. I think that makes sense. In a few years NEM will become a very strong platform if the project will also develop rapidly and sign contracts with well-known companies.

As one who's actually attempted to *use* the ETH platform, I can tell you NEM is much easier. It won't be long before others catch on. ETH seems to have better name recognition at this point, but NEM is starting to catch up on that too.

Let’s boast about that!!!!! oh boy, someone needs to do some research on what the cause of the Venezuelan hyperinflation was, it was along the lines of what happened to Zimbabwe. Look into it, then you will understand what caused this hyperinflation of their economies and why they seek alternative methods of currency. Just remember, these 2 countries posed no threat to the world before hyperinflation and even after.

Good morning,
Anyone knows if NEM ever had ICO / Crowdsale?
If so, how much money have they raised in USD?
Also, can anyone advise where can I check official stats for number of XEM in circulation and Total Supply? (not just CMC stats, they are often incorrect!).
Thanks, Pete

I think the ramifications of NEM somehow stepping in and telling Maduro et al, "No, you may not use our block chain!" would be pretty sweeping, and probably more of a detriment to whatever good in the world cryptocurrencies can accomplish than the "good" of prohibiting a "bad person" from doing something crazy with a cryptocoin. Just imagine that NEM got taken over by bad people (Maybe Maduro himself launches a coup and takes over the NEM foundation or something), and decided that no "good" organizations could ever build anything on NEM. Then what?
I think it's honestly better to keep it open sourced and decentralized, and see who uses the technology. I've heard of at least 7 or 8 tokens launching on the NEM block chain, so it won't be long before Petro becomes just one of many others.
Apparently Bankera is under investigation by the Lithuanian central bank. Bankera is soon to be a NEM token. Does that make them bad too?
please re read that article you saw this in. its an investigation from a fucking bank. A BANK. THATS NOT NEWS. THATS ANOTHER JP MORGAN CRYING BECUASE THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY THAN THIS THE BANK. Bankera is backed by the lithuanain parliament. bankera is not LEAVING. that is 100% certain. if you're a betting man, you've already lost if you sold those tokens.

what competition to eth? there is no competition anymore. nem will slowly take over ETH as the PREMIER BLOCKCHAIN. HOW MANY FORKS OCCURED ON ETH, AND HOW MANY TIMES HAS ETH BLOCKCHAIN BEEN HACKED? any fool would have made up his mind by now. doesn't take a rocket scientist to give you the right answer. hope this helps

I hope you're right in the sense that the central bank would have no legal authority to do anything about the results of its investigation. I'm not sure how much weight such an investigation would carry in Lithuania. Hopefully zero.

I hope so because I'm much more invested in NEM than in ETH, altough I don't think NEM is more easy to use than ETH. A big problem with NEM is the adoption of Mosaics on the exchanges, Dimcoin has still huge problems to get listed because of technical reasons.

No crowdsale as such. The first few hundred in got their stake (2.25 million nem)for free. After that the price increased but it was only a few dollars max price. So virtually no money raised in USD. CMC is accurate for NEM

How many app/tokes are available for eth blockchain? And how many for nem blockchain? I really hope that it's just a metter a time!
