Do you have the faintest idea exactly what problem XEM solves? If you do, please let the rest of us know.
If you can't spin the the response of XEM core to the hack as anything other than self-serving talking points and opportunistic marketing, I'd understand. It did seem fairly indefensible, and the market apparently feels the core devs' appallingly hand-waving self-congratulatory response was worse than the actual hack.
You need to get your facts straight. The hack was not the fault of XEM / NEM code, it was due to the way the Coincheck exchange was coded, it was clearly their fault. You need to learn more about XEM / NEM. Youtube is a great resource, you should try it. Here is a video that has an insightful interview on the topic of XEM / NEM and how it compares to ETH which is a less advanced / not as feature rich smart contract platform. Have fun being the shittoken for Maduro's Socialist Paradise. Venezuala and XEM are prefect complements; they deserve each other just like degeneracy and AIDS. You are spewing idiotic drivel. Your intellgence level = LOW.

NEM has a lot of advantages that puts it ahead of others, but is NEM actually up to the task for a big economy? Can it handle the needs of an entire national economy - banking, regulations, accounting, retirement savings, buying lunch, paying the babysitter? Of course all these would require new apps, but I'm talking about the blockchain network itself. Can NEM do it? Is there another blockchain that can do it better?

I like the NEM project because of its simplicity, on the grounds of Dapps they look like NEo but in deep NEm is far far better than NEO, Neo is just hype because of chinese.

Yobit is from Russia, I hope devs of Yobit will enhance their system they have alots of ticket by their customers complaint. and by the way XEM is getting ready for a huge pump after this bad news.

Now there are a lot of analytical articles about the fact that NEM will become a real competitor for ETH. I think that makes sense. In a few years NEM will become a very strong platform if the project will also develop rapidly and sign contracts with well-known companies.
As one who's actually attempted to *use* the ETH platform, I can tell you NEM is much easier. It won't be long before others catch on. ETH seems to have better name recognition at this point, but NEM is starting to catch up on that too. Thats probably why venezuela decided to go with NEM lol A fact that everyone ought to be ashamed of, not celebrating. I dont care who uses NEM, whether or not it be China, North Korea or Russia, the NEM platform is available for everyone to use free of any censorship. besides if they chose NEM because its easy to use, that says alot doesnt it? So it’s the tool of choice for corrupt authoritarians desperately trying to keep power. Cool!!!!!!! Let’s boast about that!!!!! Looks like you may have been seeing things from a biased Western mainstream corporate media angle which demonizes Maduro. Read the other side of the story and make your own judgement: http://www.globalresearch.ca/us-regime-change-in-venezuela-the-truth-is-easy-if-you-follow-the-money-trail-the-opposition-is-pro-washington-not-pro-democracy/5601933

I had idea of project/service based on NEM, but because nobody from NEM's team didn't reply to me, I decided to post it here. If that's not interesting for NEM, in future I'll think about developing this project with my costs
XEM BM - XEM BOUNTY MANAGEMENT
Goals: 1) To increase the everyday usage of NEM in cryptocurrency communities and beyond 2) To introduce new people, mostly active social media users and influencers to the cryptocurrency world. Firstly they will be introduced to NEM 3) To make bounty management process easier and more efficient 4) To make it easier for people to earn with their creative work, social media activities.
...
Hello. You should post your project proposal here: https://forum.nem.io/c/project-proposalThen you should let the community discuss about it because you could be able to be partially or completely funded from the NEM community fund if the community gives you a positive vote. If you are interested how to apply for the community fund please check this thread: https://forum.nem.io/t/nem-community-fund-guidelines/1368If you are interested about the community fund itself and to learn what it is and how was this created please read this thread: https://forum.nem.io/t/nem-community-fund-aka-nemtopia/938I hope this may help you.

Thanks a lot! Yes, I'm actually registered there on forum but didn't visit it for a while But if you and Alohaboy consider this idea good and suggest me to post about it - I'll do! Your opinion gives a chance that this idea can be supported or at least considered. So thanks!

Thanks for posting that article. I'd completely forgotten the angle of US/Globalist directed regime change. I have no doubt Bush, Clinton, and maybe to a lesser extent Obama would and did do these kinds of stunts, where they would manipulate events in another country under the auspices of democracy but really to create some sort of puppet state. I would need more information before I could confidently say that is going on now. Trump is a different sort of leader. For one, he's not globalist. Also, it really doesn't help that Venezuela has had a lot of drug cartels under Maduro (some of which might have been covertly funded by US previous administrations). The US does have a genuine self interest of keeping drugs out of our country and often that means going after the sources, the cartels. With that said, the "drug war" has often been an attempt to cover up doing just the opposite. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. And there is a good point raised in that an imperfect sovereign nation is going to be better off than one that is basically a colony of another country (unless of course the arrangement is truly agreeable to all parties and freely chosen).

Here's an interesting short piece on how a high percentage of ETH smart contracts are vulnerable to attack for various reasons. I think if NEM's smart contracts are truly more robust (I think they are but lack the technical know how to judge), the marketing people should make a lot of hay out of this one. https://news.bitcoin.com/report-claims-34000-ethereum-smart-contracts-vulnerable-bugs/
