The price/marketcap on CMC is pretty stable (or is decreasing just a bit), but we can see huge decreasing of daily volume. And also, increase of new NEM accounts is almost stopped / very small. We, all "old NEMbers" know about "ninja style" and are "friendly" with it, but maybe for some "more mass adoption/attraction" some kind of news/marketing/whatever should help. Don't ask me how
, I'm techie (and I try to do my best for NEM by tech position, of course), not marketee, I'm just thinking about it ... Yes, lot of marketing is just "unlogical mess and crap" (and we, techies, usually hate it), but even that crap can work, sometimes, probably.
Look at the whole "wow effect" by ETH/ETC, STEEM and some other coins, where their "technical quality" is - comparing to NEM - very low, if not "almost zero". Really dunno, but I'm pretty sure, that there are lot of experienced people in sales & marketing section, and their'll be able to find the way, how to popularize NEM on a massive scale (of course we're still on the beginning, even Bitcoin is still far to "worldwide effect"). NEM is so amazing and so technologically advanced project, that it surely deserves.
Finally, thanks to all the devs for their hard work on NEM project - we all really appreciate it!
yes, that relates to the earlier "forks discussion" ...
the tech quality is of course important, and basically every coin should pass a certain quality test before publishing it. But, the "marketeers"/"COIN CREATORS" disgree because it is the volume of coins and their transactions that make the meaning of their work. Unlike the work of techies, medics, researchers, etc.
And of course it is also so that without a good marketing any good tech project cannot reach big enough markets. If it manages to do so in these days, then it is a very rare case or the product is so new that there is no competition, only demand.
About the marketing ways there are at least two problems:
- Unfortunately there are also dishonest ways of marketing
- Unfortunately the best tech, the best user-friendliness or the best idea does not mean the best marketing.
Those problems cause that the future brings to us products, which are not the best for the people, but maybe only the 3rd or 8th best. There is the risk that the quality of products - and also people's life - will not improve.
