So for those of you who are really experienced buying/selling/trading, I'm using Litecoin as an example, but can anyone tell me if this is correct?
Lets say I bought 10,000 litecoins 5 years ago. I sat on those coins for a few years and decide I want to cash them out today, all $240,000 usd worth. I make an account at an exchange, say poloniex. They welcome my 10,000 LTC deposit with open arms, and I promptly exchange them for bitcoins.
Now I have $240,000 worth of BTC, roughly 137 of them. I want to transfer to coinbase so I can convert to usd. Now what? poloniex has a withdraw limit of $2,000 usd per day though. So I'm stuck doing $2000 btc withdraws to coinbase for the next 120 days? Ok say I verify now it's 10k per day. Now it'll only take me 24 days of withdrawls at 10k. All the while the price is fluctuating like mad. is this correct? or can I transfer the entire 137 btc amount at once from polo to my coinbase btc wallet?
So it finally gets to coinbase. Now I have to verify some more and say I'm at 25k per withdrawl. I still have to wait another 10 days of 25k withdrawls to get my money out of coinbase.
Is this really how it works? Nobody lets you withdraw your money at once or in large chunks?
That's how it works on poloniex. Even with verification, it took them 2 - 3 weeks to verify me for 25K limit, and that was only after I bugged them on the troll box it eventually went through, I think there is a higher verification for more than 25K which requires more ID. Unless you can find a site that converts LTC directly to your fiat currency?

Invested 2K USD For better future
ok ok 1 btc -->15k xem time to harvest i was waiting to dip for weeks now the banks who chose ripple are stupids it is like they didn't understand why decentralized network is a lot more secure than a centralized one all the crypto speculators who are into ripple are just bank followers a brainless sheeps banks can make a lot of bad decision if you think banks is a sort of super being you are mistaken i will be laughing very hard at the day a 16y boy cripple the central node lol well let see how long ripple central node will stand before someone take it down when it will happen, and (it will happen remember my words) the banks will realise they made a stupid choice . too late hhaha I see this coming too.

Does NEM have reversible transactions? If so is there an explanation of how it works?
I just thought of this after seeing the recent ransomware attacks. Would NEM be able to deal with that?

I certainly hope not. The private chains do I believe.

with all the focus on XRP and STR (XLM), NEM will miss the train or not ?
If a lot of companies choose xrp and str as blockchain, others will also choose this 2 blockchain instead of nem right ?
I think we need a big news to launch nem to the new ATH
I think we need to add more information on nem.io related to how NEM can be used for banking. Look at ripple.com and stellar.org website how they're promoting. This is the first thing you see when you open their websites: Stellar - Stellar is a platform that connects banks, payments systems, and people. Ripple - Join the Global Settlement Network Instant, certain, low-cost international payments This is the similar kind of information that NEM needs to market when people first visit the website.

On NEM's private blockchain transactions can be reversed: From Page 9 of the DragonFly Fintech whitepaper: "Similarly, with regards to reversing a transaction, the transaction can be reversed by making a special transaction to send the amount back to the originator or to a specified account. This can be done through the use of a specially designed master key system in the bank to create a reversion of a transaction". http://www.dragonflyfintech.com/static/DF_Paper.pdf

Source: http://bitcoinprbuzz.com/press-release-avalon-life/ no price spike with this "news".... other coins get a good bump on any news There's still some stakes out there that need to sell into the system.. some guy on the nem forums was trying to transfer 3 million XEM to poloniex. Long term no worries. Short term there may be some supply to absorb. I myself have sold 20% of my stake over the last week. It's just smart investing to take some off the table. All those supernodes contain 3 million XEM. They need to reduce supernode requirements down to about 100,000 XEM and transaction fees down to .1XEM. Hopefully they is something they address. I'd like to run a supernode and will keep 100,000+ XEM for that no problem. All the Alts except Ripple are selling a bit.

Looking at the rate that Ripple is rising, it will probably knock BTC off the top spot in terms of marketcap probably before the end of May. That will give XRP a lot of publicity in the media.
