What if nobody cares that it's released and daily volume stays low ($3 mil is awful).
What if nem's rise to the top 5 was nothing but a p&d, the big players have made their money and moved on?

we had next to no interest for a long time, hit a giant spike over the span of a month, then are now back down to no volume and interest again.
I hope nem has some meteoric rise, but the longer time goes by the more I'm wondering if that rise has already come and gone.

Yes you are right. Release of catapult can not raise the price by itself. This is just one of the reasons for the whales to pump xem.
Moreover, if the whales do not pump, then a fairly serious dump wave from the disappointed speculators awaits us. Look at an empty buy side on Polo, i think we can do x2-x3 down easily.

But i really don't care i am here for long, so if you to, just close tab with xem price, and relax

yes, bigger buyers than sellers. That has been quite obvious according the volume changes. And also there was that 300 million XEM investment.

I see it the same and loading more and more cheap XEM when times goes by. The more you get into NEM the more you believe in it and want to invest in it. Especially as you get to know better and better the community (E.g. Inside-NEM-YoutubeChannel, Telegram Chats, Slack etc.) and see that there are a lot of "strong hands" who have pretty good arguments to stay here for long.

Are there any plans to make delegated harvesting more reliable? Lately nodes keep going offline and it is annoying to have to manually reconnect every time.

A system like waves has would be ideal imo. You lease your balance there and if their node goes offline your balance is still leased to the node.

You can ask a supernode owner to add the delegated private key to the config. That way, if the NIS is restarted, the account will harvest again.

Any way to get in touch with the supernode owners? It's really a hassle as the blockexplorers don't show if your account is harvesting as far as I know and I don't feel like entering the client everyday if it is only for checking if I'm still connected.

Harvesting doesn't make a lot in NEM.. Been harvesting for about a month with a decent balance and about 80% uptime and only got like 350 NEM in fees...

Don't think I can make a very intersting offer at current prices.
