how do we opt in? which wallet do we need? What happens to XEM tokens what happened to catapult and why? More details about opt-in to be conformed on 24th August as per earlier post on this page. You'd need the NEM wallet - https://nemplatform.com/wallets/There are Windows, Mac and Linux wallets as well as trezor supported. Also Mobile wallets for Android and Apple. XEM tokens will still remain in your wallet before and after opt-in and snapshot. You will receive one XYM token for each XEM you had in your wallet at snapshot time.. For example if you had 100 XEM, then you will receive 100 XYM and still have 100 XEM Catapult evolved into Symbol - Catapult was the project codename, the name for the blockchain going forward is Symbol, ticker name at launch is XYM.

XEM will still exist. It is not a burn, but a snapshot. Like BTC<->BCH or ETH<->ETC. The tendency will probably be that after the snapshot, XEM will crash in price because everyone sells it while Symbol will rise in price. At least this has been the pattern of similar snapshots so far, e.g. NXT<->ARDOR.

how about the planned CATAPULT? whether it is not in accordance with the plan and change the previous plan I agree with what you said the CATAPULT that was planned was not working and now change it if this happens repeatedly and does not go according to planning then it is bad for XEM supporters
note: several times I discussed catapults always deleted posts, I only asked, not making FUD or frightened

Weren't there several snapshots with NXT? I think by that point they figured out NXT wasn't any use for anything other than snapshot-related pump and dumps.
XEM back over 10c and showing proper signs of life for the first time in a long, long, long time. Between now and December it might actually be worth paying attention.

Shifting fluids in a corpse can look like signs of life too, but I am paying attention!! There is big community behind this unique project who have strong believe in this and still holding tight. It is good to see finally it wake up and start moving into positive direction with a solid growth. It will be worth for it to keep holding and enjoying the ongoing ride.

We still have time to load-up our XEM baskets at these discount prices. https://forum.nem.io/t/opt-in-date-announcement/255651:1 ratio! Why do these Y-weave storage baskets remind me of something?

A $1bn market cap this morning. Wonder what it would look like nearer to the snapshot date later this year.

And if whats yours is kept off exchange, taxation should not be a concern. I think I will go bust a nut and get back shortly to send a couple more word bullets in to the discussion. Its funny that no one posts here since no one generally shows any care toward the coin itself but when free token rains in or is distributed through fork, every penurious ass on earth with a wallet and a dust in it comes here to ask for free crop.
