no not really. u should find something with better efficiency. the problems with psu are more then efficiency: it has 2x 12 volt rails neither one is more then 38 amps it has 1 pcie cable with 2 plugs. so even if the plugs are long enough to reach each board they will not carry the load very well. in a pinch you can run the board that power the controller and only if it also powers the fans. if you get an adapter to try to power the second board. you may be using the same rail and pushing too hard on your gear |

I'll give a second vote for Corsair.
Currently using a mix of AX860i and CX-750s (just what I was able to get on sale when I needed them) and they're all stellar - and generally good for more than the advertised power rating. Corsair has a habit of rating their PSUs lower than they can actually put out to get higher efficiency ratings.

I can attest to that, my 850 was pulling 975 for days back when I was mining Scrypt. |

the corsair was a 650 or a 750 rm did 1 ant fine price was free I sold it.
rosewill was a 700 watt did 2 gpus for ltc mining fine I sold the entire rig still works
Seasonic too many to mention all the 760 plat 850 gold 1000 plat and 1200 plat all good. I still have 2 750/760plats 1 1000 plat and 1 1200 plat the 1200 plat is doing 11 gridseed blades. the others are waiting for s-3's
the antec a 850 gold ran 1 ant well sold it still runs
next antec a 650 plat ran a 1 gpu ltc miner still have it it is running a pc that is my gear tester pc and my 11 gridseed blade miner. note it powers the pc and a dozen fans well the 1200 watt seasonic does the gridseeds
the evga 1300 love these I got 2 for 153 each truly good ran 3 s-1's 24/7 for 75 days idle wating for s-3's
I have an evga 750 so so has split rails so it is a tricky mother fucker.
fractal design 1000 watt plat NO GOOD had 3 fried 2 . running 2 s-1s at 805 watts and it is rated for 990 watts on the single rail don't buy them.
the third one works as it runs 1 gpu on my gamer.
my goto is the evga 1300 when it is under 170 usd on a sale.

there are different roswill psu's that newegg sells.. you want the capstone one and i think the lightning one is also very good...
have several of the capstone and none of them have fried or doa, when i was using them for scrypt miners

I'm a day-one buyer of these too, and as long as I get them by the 22nd or so (meaning they shipped on the 20th) I'll assume they did what they promised. Since it sounds like it should be closer to the 14th (in my hands middle of next week) I'm thrilled. |

Its mostly part of the post BFL traumatic stress disorder people are suffering from. There is no trust in any form of preordering even if its not technically a preorder, or even if the company itself has had a fairly spotless history.
