The fans are 140mm

BITMAIN say this "Fans: Two 14038 fans mounted on both front and back ends."

That means 140mm wide by 38mm thick :-)

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

I just saw the option to take a 10% coupon or a 7.7% refund.

yeah, choose...
if you're going to buy again, take the coupon
if u're unsure... just take refund
if somehow u have to buy again, just ask users around here who have some left coupons

Keep in mind that future S3 batches will likely be priced lower, so taking the 7.7% refund now may actually end up being a better deal even if you do end up buying more S3s.

Isn't the coupon supposed to be for a fixed 10% of the price paid? E.g. 0.15 BTC for a pair of B1. I chose a refund so I can't verify that.

I thought the coupon was good for 10% off the value of a future S3 purchase, and a S3 will likely cost less in BTC in the future.

From another post, you get 1 coupon per unit you ordered.  So, since you had to order a minimum of 2 units, you will get a minimum of 2 coupons.  Total value of the coupons is based upon the price you paid in the batch your ordered.  For example, if you ordered 5 batch 1 units at 0.75BTC each, you will get 5 coupons of 0.075BTC each.

I'm had delays with my S2s but my S1s went through customs no problem. I wonder if it's because the S1 is 'bare bones' and you can see it it what it is. But the S2 & 3s are 'enclosed' so customs want to see what's in the box...

Haven't spoken to UPS yet, going to give it a full day.  Customs can be a real pain and I can only hope this isn't going to be one of those times.  I would have expected US customs to review contents before the Chinese.

When I had my SP10 sent to me it was held up at shipping. They wanted me to send them an FCC paper stating what the device was and something along with homeland security. Held up my delivery and extra day.
One form was called - department of homeland security. IMPORTER ID INPUT RECORD

and the other form was STATEMENT REGARDING THE IMPORTATION OF RADIO FREQUENCY DEVICES CAPABLE OF CAUSING HARMFUL INTERFERENCE.

Both these forms were sent to me by the shipping company via email. Had to fill them out and then email them back.

I had to do the same.  I got an email from Fedex and filled out the forms and emailed them back - all while I was sitting at the Sky Club lounge in JFK waiting for my flight to Tokyo.  The girl I was chatting with stated that anything over $2500 declared value needed to have importer forms filed.  If you're a business they require your tax ID.  If you're an individual, it's your social.

Just checked UPS... my S3s have departed Anchorage and are on their way.  Still scheduled on time delivery for tomorrow.
