Second day stuck in customs.  I've emailed UPS but I doubt they can do anything or provide much information.  They're not asking for additional information at this point so I'm not sure what my options are, if any.   Undecided

17/07/2014    6:22 P.M.   Your package is delayed at export and is awaiting release from customs.
16/07/2014    6:07 P.M.   Your package is delayed at export and is awaiting release from customs.
Shenzhen, China   15/07/2014    11:08 P.M.   Arrival Scan
                         15/07/2014    10:52 P.M.   Departure Scan
                         15/07/2014    9:41 P.M.   Origin Scan
                         15/07/2014    7:48 P.M.   Pickup Scan
15/07/2014    7:45 A.M.   The package is awaiting clearing agency review. / The package is at the clearing agency awaiting final release.
China                  15/07/2014    10:19 A.M.   Order Processed: Ready for UPS

I would email Bitmain it looks as if there is outgoing problem on their side. I have placed 5 orders with them over last few months and ever had any stall in out going customs like that.

and mine is doing the same this is my 10 shipment from them and this has happened more then once. with orders from them see screen shot

Thanks sjc1490, I've sent Bitmain an email to see if they help the process along.

IMPORTANT.

Bitmain posted on the other S3 thread:

Quote
Hello everyone,

When we were doing the first mass production, we found that not all of the S3’s DC/DC module could be stable enough to support the 478GH/s speed. After long time testing, all of the S3 run stably at 441GH/s, which however is 7.7% less than the 478GH/s we have announced.

So we decide the final specification of ANTMINER S3 here:

Hash Rate: 441 GH/s or more
Power Consumption: about 340 Watt at the wall when running at 441GH/s
Power Efficiency: 0.77 J/GH on wall
Power Supply: 12V DC
Size:  331 mm x 137 mm x 160 mm
Fans: Two 14038 fans mounted on both front and back ends.
Operating Temperature: 0 °C to 35 °C
Complied with: FCC / CE
Network Connection: Ethernet

Many of the customers may be lucky to find that their S3 can be overclocked to 478GH/s.

We apologize for this incident. We offer two options for customers:

1)   10.0% worth of coupon for the B1~B3 customers. This is the default option.
2)   7.7% worth of refund. We will release a function on our official website for application of this option. If you have bought from our resellers, please contact them and provide your Bitcoin address.

Shipping schedule updated:

Batch 1: The shipping will be finished in 14th and 17th.
Batch 2: It will be shipping out between 18th and 19th.
Batch 3: It will be shipping out between 19th and 22nd.

its cheaper than in Indonesia... HAHA
we have to pay around 25-40% of the miners, depends on the mood of the officers  Cheesy

Most of the EU UPS packets comes trough Germany where the customs are handled, So it's either charged with the correct VAT or held until correct VAT can be charged, damn German efficiency :<

even customs officers will know what is BTC and what is miner
i think, one day, they'll play with our miners, meanwhile they use "delayed for checking" or something like that as a reason

and if they get caught...
from what i know, if whole workers in the office is also cooperating
then, they wont get caught
just like when they unload the "baggage" at the airport, the unloader can steal anything inside, and no one will one, except the monitoring guy Cheesy
as a matter of fact... they're playing as a team  Cheesy

nvm, i just heard some rumours about this somewhere  Grin

great pics!

Goxed: you have the part number for the buck regulator?

Also, not exactly thrilled about the choice of controllers - major step backwards.

[Can you supply the part number for the buck regulator component? It's not the big grey square, that's a coil - instead it'll be a small IC right beside and will have a code (or codes) written in ridiculously small letters which indicate the part and manufacturer. Someone in the S3 is going to research to see if we can replace?
