Litecoin really hard to prediction to me. Very confusing. I prefer to stay away.

If a market not predictable then the best thing to do is to stay away.

But I cannot say good or bad for Litecoin. I can say only Ltc prediction is difficult.

Syscoin is on f2pool and Syscoin is already Segwit activated, use that instead if you want Segwit.

SysCoin is merge mined with bitcoin. It failed yesterday at f2pool.

https://twitter.com/f2pool_wangchun

It did not fail, it was a bug in 2.1.2 which was fixed in 2.1.3, there already was a planned mandatory update yesterday and it was applied and eveyrone updated, segwit was already active before that.

I can only go by what f2pool reported (that is the pool you referred to that's why I checked). Interestingly f2pool is now signalling segwit for litecoin.

sleeping giant awakens

Yeah but is it going to be real this time and hold some nice value or just get pumped and dumped to shit again.
Got any insight there?
I think Litecoin's rise is more legit than most of the other major altcoins.  It's established and trusted enough to genuinely hold stable around $4 even when no one particularly thinks about it.  I think people will want to buy Litecoin if they're losing faith in Bitcoin practicality but don't like Ethereum or DASH (me included), and that could be a pretty decent number of people even though Bitcoin is doing a bit better now.

great chance to sell here... we didnt touch bear target yet on the long term chart.

I agree. The pump is more to do with sentiment rather than anything else. We should use it as a selling opportunity.
Segwit is nothing to be excited about, when the transactions are so low.

My assumption is that this year Bitcoin will hard fork in two chains, Core controled Segwit chain and BU chain. Community support is about equal for both in my estimates.

Ethereum opened a can of worms, now everybody wanna fork with success Smiley maybe we can see some Litecoin Unlimited soon?
My position focuses onto a single bitcoin blockchain containing merely 21mio BTC. Doubling that will end toxic, waisting the former social contract.

It isn't that everybody wants to fork.
It is about hostility of the Core and inability to compromise, a classic divorce case.
Here, look, one of Core devs proposed a compromise solution yesterday to the rest of the Core devs, to unite the Bitcoin community, to have both Segwit and a small increase of block limit to only 2MB. Certainly 2MB can't kill the network.
https://lists.linuxfoundation.org/pipermail/bitcoin-dev/2017-March/013921.html
It was immediately rejected.
Conclusion. They don't want a compromise, they want a power grab and full control.
Inability to compromise leads to inevitable divorce.
Economic majority would support Segwit+2MB block size, it's a reasonable compromise. But no, they want it all. Divorce is near. We just need to plan for it.

LTC has been stable coin, I do not like what the price is pump up, something like DASH.

I hope that the price to stabilize, although I read that it could go to $ 20 and stay there

I don't think that it got officially Dead Because you can see here that a small fluctuation is also results into the profit for the LTC holder , so instead to say dead the LTC , you should make experiment and make profit with that .
Here I recently noticed that from last day the price of the litecoin is going increasing slowly slowly ( in yobit net), so here chances are more to get high again .
So if you holds the litecoin then keep your eyes aatention on the litecoin price .

lol....just got an L3 hosted today.......heh.....all it has to do is HOLD at above $6 and I'm ok for this bet.....I got it confirmed and in place at like 9pm cst today
and LTC was like 7.21...now i see it has dropped to $6.65

OK..NOW i KNOW I AM THE CAUSE OF ALL PROBLEMS IN CRYPTO...sorry about that all...jinx'd the works I did it seems Smiley

(again just needs to hang in their above 6 buck LTC and I can mine my way out in say 10 months......)

Anyway it goes back to 4.15 usd LTC from the other day..you can blame me ..as this will be proof the asic gods (of any crypto flavor) hate me Sad

If your time horizon is roundabout 10 monthes anyway - just sweat it out. A drop back onto 4usd seems highly likely, litecoin did some small hobbles before, but reaching 8usd end of year comes into my vision. There are no valid points against litecoin.
Links at hand on a "L3" thingy perhaps?

yeah I'm making a bet on LTC as being more or less stable ..giving it some 'traction' thus my 6 buck or above bet

where I'm hosting:

ie plug (skip if you don't need this plug/hosting)

anyone interested in hosting with a warranty for replacement hash if you have to send you unit out to get fixed as one of the perks (again will be hosting the rest of my titans/stuff there
soon) here is the link.....I particularly like the bitmain breaks you get your hash if it goes off to china to get fixed option

here is the thread

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1802108.0

my reply on thread

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1802108.msg18413585#msg18413585

anyway .thats the bet worse case I lose a month to 5 weeks of mining all my equipment to pay this down and replace ltc...(at $6 ltc) and will make that up in keeping some miners along longer and hopefully when price is more at end
of life of all my equip ..esp KNC Titans.  (L3's use 1/3 of the elec of a 300mh Titan)....thus a pretty easy bet for me to get TWO. I know maxumark ...been to his house/colo-hub data hall/  anyway known him a year.

Anyway ..the play I'm making...I just figure a miner turned on the same day as you order it is better then waiting till May 1st to get one!  Esp with the hash rate insurance

but again my bet on ltc holding above $6 ..so again I'm not taking a lot of risk on this then losing a month to 5 weeks tossing hash at this purchase

or more. The offer is legit if limited...look over the thread carefully...he is offering a lot for in my view a little ..more so then most hosting sites I've ever seen ...

Well anyway, If I'm wrong and LTC (the merciless bitch) drops back down to $4.15 at only 400 watts for 250mh I will likely be able to mine out of this hole (oranges (btc in) same oranges (btc out) ...even it it takes me 14 months Sad  Again the bet it LTC is under valued by about 3 bucks or more....we will see if I am a chump or a champ on this view Smiley

Litecoin will be getting segwit to be able to handle the lower value transfers to free up Bitcoin for the higher value ones, and perhaps as a test engine for if Bitcoin could ever utilize segwit. Irrespective of that, the long bear market in Litecoin just got turned upside down. This is what we might be starting to witness in the Litecoin ecosystem - https://www.tradingview.com/chart/LTCBTC/f54ZHTrX-Is-LTC-Really-About-to-Make-a-Huge-Run-on-BTC-EW-Analysis/

But there are other coins even more secure than litecoin that are segwit ready and active. To me it means its a sell on news.

Litecoin has a history and connections, the 2nd coin, all the others with segwit dont matter cause nobody knows what they are and they havent been around long enough to gain trust. So segwit on litecoin is a big deal imo.

What alt coins have a hashrate higher than Litecoin (That is a different hash type then BTC)?
Not sure where ETH is on this list, but due to it having such a huge emission rate and being more about what it can do and less about money, I can't imagine viewing it in the same vein as Bitcoin, LTC, XMR, etc.

BTC = Black Swan.
BTC = Antifragile - "Some things benefit from shocks; they thrive and grow when exposed to volatility, randomness, disorder, and stressors and love adventure, risk, and uncertainty. Robust is not the opposite of fragile.
