btw...  the solution is.... one small now is tall... so exchange w with W in the 51 character string...

That's fucking stupid. It's unrelated to any of the information given. Why was the shit on the right of the image then? The OP made a typo in the given key and somehow that's supposed to be part of the ARG?

I dont even get it...

z69JZqlJn862D1ndx7oLVEMmVOlP1zewEeUCrsI7Roahzpeny7P switch(w,W)
-> z69JZqlJn862D1ndx7oLVEMmVOlP1zeWEeUCrsI7Roahzpeny7P
and then what? shift 6EQUJ5 times?
...
5KZnsvrXDcP7JFD7GCuZvifrbcBtK4kke8nHx6ibktgvPJxs4Lp

Where is the palindrome hint? I am confused and go to sleep maybe someone is nice and write a "for dummies" how to solve the last step so I can finish the pdf.

You get "6EQUJ5", turn it into integers using the pattern in Crops.jpg.

Code:
6EQUJ5 = (decoded) = 6,14,26,30,19,5

You change the w to a W in the string (who the would have thought of that?)

Code:
z69JZqlJn862D1ndx7oLVEMmVOlP1ze[W]EeUCrsI7Roahzpeny7P

You shift the key in Wow.jpg by the numbers sequentially, looping once you run out

Code:
5KZnsvrXDcP7JFD7GCuZvifrbcBtK4kAe8nHx6ibktgvPJxs4Lp

You then add 0.35% more to your horde of BTC like Gatekeeper did.

Thank you, as well as the others who gave one, for the answer.
Since you allready had the rest the W might as well be a typo by OP...

-snip-
EDIT2: the W thing was a fix for a mistake. Could have ended up much worse or not at all. I would have done it all again, no regrets.

It shouldnt have have been. OP stated that the riddle was solved twice beforehand (I assume by someone trusted, e.g. her brother and his wife - who both have the nerdy/techy background) so this error would have shown and could have been corrected.

Now that this is over I wanted to remind people that there's a treasure hunt at mathgate.info:
http://mathgate.info/treasurehunt.php
There are a lot of treasures ranging from 1 mbit to 1 bitcoin, so it's less winner-take-all.
-snip-

You posted that so often I might not go there just because of that. Feels like you need to push that page down our throat.

Oh well its math proofs, ofc you gotta do it. I might check it out Wink

@OP thanks. I will make you a final pdf it might take a few days though, exams are near.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

That's not so much a puzzle, rather it's a pass phrase that needs brute forced, and considering that they use scrypt and are described to be 'designed to test the safety of WarpWallet' i don't think that will be an easy one to get.

I disagree with OP using the privkey as the answer, but otherwise interesting puzzle from what I saw of it.  Anyone that is interested in this kind of stuff should check out the crypto tools on rumkin.com.

Congrats to winner.

Just to confirm that I've received the 0.1 BTC tip. So much about all those who talked dirty about the solver, I would like to see if they would share the part of the winnings with others.

Thanks, Gatekeeper.

I can understand why he wouldn't want to post anything here with the hostility that has already been displayed in this thread.

Overall with this entire adventure I'm satisfied with the experience. After brushing off yesterday's disappointment I can now enjoy the better moments that I had throughout this entire thing. I haven't done anything like this before but it was quite fun and exciting collaborating and sharing information with everyone to work towards our common goal. There was also nothing better than solving a stage and finally getting the damn passwords right for the next layer .7z. The minecraft part was pretty fun as well and it's too bad those that didn't have the game couldn't partake.

He faced quite a lot of backlash in this thread. I couldn't say I would post after all that. Would everyone have flipped out if it was just some empty wallet? Everyone here could be BTC millionaires or dirt broke, is it possible that GK earned that money through hard work? We all played the same game. It could have easily been someone who's never posted on the forum and just swooped in at the last second with a solve.

Basically, all I'm saying is someone won. We all knew that was going to happen. We all wanted it to be ourselves, who wouldn't? Instead of grumbling, lets go do something productive (finally!).

-----

So, I was clearing up after this project and found I had 40 docs open with snippets of info, pieces decoded, 237 browser tabs, two collab conversations and way too many pieces of paper with notes and possible solves. I even dedicated one of my whiteboards to shifting XOR references. And that's after clearing up.

Aren't you glad I didn't just flood this thread with my brain dump?

https://i.imgur.com/ggjkjIa.jpg

Time to archive all that (yep, I'm that type of person) and see what else I can do to avoid working for actual money.

Did I hear tips going around?

If anyone found my posts helpful, any of these addresses I used to beg for hints would do...

1P1easednix73qDimELQFPWwXg6NrDv3Yz
1GiveRqozxuYDhfSkyd71TvGehoZVw4tQd

1andLjDxqPmwNcCVNz9aC3tGL9Rfg5vVp
1grnVQA6GeiSSKHYzpBuXUug1p4XEfDAb

Ps. To be honest, I probably would not have shared the prize with anyone, as the rules in original post were "winner keeps all", so whoever got the coins rightfully deserve them.

I would love to see more of these puzzles by OP, or by anyone else! I would love to design one, but I'm afraid I would leave behind too many careless mistakes and there's no way I could come up with such a exuberant prize.
