Hey, I work with CentOS but not coding, just server maintenance with light bash scripting/awk/sed one liners, etc.

I have some experience with programming, but not a coder. I have had trouble compiling wallets on Fedora also, all instructions are for Ubuntu like that's the only distro out there.

What can I do to help, I just need a quick run down of what you have here and what needs to be done and I can probably help.

Here is another possibility....

You could start off at 1000 cann = 1 gram. Then as buy support increases and as more dispensaries start offering cann, you could go to 500 cann = 1 gram.

Then you could go to 100, 50, 10, 1 etc.

I'm just thinking that this would solve 2 problems:

1. This would obviously solve the problem of cann having so many coins.

2. This would solve the problem of traders dumping the coin because people would want to hold on to their cann for when it goes from 1000 to 500, etc.

You could even have exact dates named where the peg would change.

I suggested this earlier but I was hit with the realization that not only cannabis will be sold for cannabis coin. Everything in the shops will be, you can easily double or triple your sales with various other purchases using cannabis coin on your visit. Not to mention the global market. At this point I do see 1 gram per cann as viable, it makes sense. But the devs will decide based on the numbers and not opinion which makes me very bullish on cannabis coin no matter what they decide.

Agreed, as long as just a few growers and dispensaries accept it, that will be huge in itself. The United States dollar is backed on the faith in the institution of America's credit and economy, not whether the US truly has the actual tangible wealth or assets to back it up, it's all based on market sentiment. If the market begins to agree that CANN is worth 1 gram of Cannabis through responsible use of the coin to sell said commodity, than the psychological illusion is all that is necessary for the price to be that, not how much plants the developer has on hand.

Well i ordered from drgreenstore.com...  I will confirm here if/when they arrive and if I also receive my freebies for using bitcoin.  If the site confirms legit I hope that CANN can get added as a payment option .  I will be contacting them as soon as I have confirmation and again will post here aswell .
