First of all, Areds post was dead on.  To those who have not read it, here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=661885.msg8423852#msg8423852 READ IT!  I cannot comment on it further other than it being perfectly said.

I am starting to see a lot of responses from the community and seeing the same names pop up contributing to the growth and success of CannabisCoin.  Amazing Community!

Collaboration and contribution is how WE make things happen.  We team together and everyone will contribute to the vision, movement, and the future of CannabisCoin as a whole.

Pegging

1 CANN = 1 GRAM of Medical Marijuana
vs
10 CANN = 1 GRAM of Medical Marijuana

I would like to let the community know that the "Peg" will be officially announced before or by Sept. 1st, pending further discussion with "first gen" growers.  Could be any day.


Growers

We have secured two supplemental growers with their own grow facilities and specialty medical marijuana strains!

Some points were brought up during face to face discussions this past weekend.

- For faster adoption, they (growers) would like to participate in the movement and provide their current crops/strains that they have already 'specialized' in and ADD it to the CANNdy Inventory.

This would provide a few beneficial facts that we have agreed on.  

1) it would speed things up, they would not have to wait for CannabisCoin specific "Canndy" clones or seeds to mature to add to harvest.
2) No immediate transporting or distribution of the CannabisCoin specific "Canndy" strains on large scale, but rather gradual distribution while other strains can be slated for CANN "peg" prices.
3) it would also create a sub menu and variety of discounted meds for patients to choose from.  For example, adding another jar with "CANNdy" Main Label and then sub-labeled "L.A. Diesel Strain" etc. for that store.
4) Quicker adoption from other Dispensaries/Growers/Merchants
5) We could have "Canndy" meds on the shelves almost immediately!

QT Wallet Updates

We will be releasing soon, a wallet update to patch a couple of small issues (non noticeable issues), update the halving schedule, and implement the windows installer again for ease of use.


Mobile Web / HTML5 / QR Capable wallet

Currently active project, looking at possible issues, building API, transaction handling, etc.
We have a well-known dev in the community working on it.

Hey can you explain the difficulties legal cannabis growers and retailers are having with the banking industry. Because the banks are still federally regulated all funds acquired through the sale and distribution are still illegal as a bank transfer so cannabis growers are forced to make cash deposits. How does cannabis coin directly affect this problem? I'd like an insiders view on the problems you're facing as a producer and the solutions cannabis coin may provide.

As promised,

Official Announcement tomorrow on the ratio/peg

Some points:

- Exchange market will have no little effect on the ratio.
Its been mentioned here that dispensaries may be selling CannabisCoins for fiat as well.

- Patients will be able to get there meds at aggressively reduced rate compared to FIAT.
It's a movement remember?  We will honor it.  Grower/suppliers who are participating have agreed to official "PEG" ratio.

- Target delivery period for CANN to be on shelves can be almost immediate once the procedure has been established and streamlined.

- "CANNdy" Strains have been finalized and out of Beta testing.  We are growing 'mothers' and will be cloning shortly.

- Other strains slated for CannabisCoins are ready for distribution at peg ratio.

- Had another pre-meeting with medical doctors in the valley regarding CANN.  We may have a doctor on the team.

I think it means that within it's on ecosystem CANN's value does not depend on exchange rate since it's value is pegged

This is great news. If CANNdy is selling for really cheap then all their patients will be buying CANN to buy CANNdy so that they can save up to 95% on their bill. This is great! Medical patients purchase large quantities of cannabis. Some buy 100 grams per week. Each dispensary they have will continue to bring in $20,000+ a week of CANN buy orders. If they could some how bring in 100 dispensaries that would bring in $2,000,000 a week. That is as much as BTC is bringing in each day.

This could be huge! Of course other dispensaries could easily copy this idea so CANN needs to get out there and bring in other dispensaries. Maybe give them 1,000,000 CANN to be part of the CANN network. It would be cool to bring in a dispensary that already has 10+ chains in their network.

(o)(o) at 100 grams a week. That's like 4 ounces of weed. A quarter pound, is just an insane amount to be medicating with. 2 people in my household and an ounce lasts a month.
