Many players and investors requested that the forum stays open to allow people to have a discussion.

There's a lot of false claims made by a few people but I want to stress that all funds are safe as always.

Thanks

Great, so now we have two threads.

Is this one going to stay unlocked? Or should we use the other one?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=853348.msg9500820#msg9500820 :

Dean Nolan: bay created a new one just so people could troll more so im removing his affiliate

This is exactly the kind of thing that bothers me about Dean.

He promises something (in this case "refer people to my site and I'll give you a cut of the revenue you refer")
Then he goes back on his word ("I'm not going to pay you because you pissed me off in some unrelated way").

How is "creating a thread so people can continue to discuss PRCdice (aka "troll", in Dean's mind) in any way related to the affiliate deal Bay had with Dean? It's totally unprofessional to break the affiliate deal after Bay invested so much time and effort referring people just because Bay made a new forum thread!

It doesn't mean his site is a scam, and I never said it was.

It does mean he can't be trusted to keep his word. And that's all my trust rating is meant to say.

If I was BayAreaCoins I would leave negative trust feedback over this, if it's an actual quote from the PRCdice chat from Dean (I didn't see it there - I only saw finnile's post here).

Edit: I notice on the old locked thread people were concerned that the "BTC risked" figure was misleading. I split my feedback into two separate feedbacks - a neutral one with the large amount I deposited, and a negative one with "0" as the amount risked. I don't know how much the bug bounty was, because I never received it, so I'm not sure how much I lost out on and don't really care. It's much more about the breach of trust than the number of coins involved.

Edit2: one of my cult members (joke, geddit?) sent me this screenshot, so it looks like finn's quote is accurate:

---

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=853348.msg9501056#msg9501056 :

I also see Dean spreading more lies:

* At first I missed the bug, because I misinterpretted what Dean meant when he said the player was "betting low". I thought he meant he was clicking the "lo" button, but he meant low stakes. Very soon after I found the bug, while Dean was happy to re-enable betting on the site. He had no clue what was going on.

* I never saw the code of the site, and still haven't. All I saw was what was available to everyone. To say I "audited the code" is a stretch.

* When I point out bugs with other sites that have bug bounties, they pay me. I don't have to grovel to them, or argue with them. They just pay me. That's the deal with bug bounties. Find a serious bug, get a bounty.

* I have no warships. There are a few canoes with peashooters mounted on them in my moat, but that hardly counts.

I can post screenshots of the private message conversation that passed between us if that would be useful.

I made a new thread, so that people could continue talking about it and it was a oppertunity for me... Dean, I'm sure this is way over your head, but it is for the rest of the ppl reading.

Dean has been freaking out about my affiliate for a long time because his gay little offer for the .com was that he'd bump me to the top tier for 6mo (25%.)  I told him that I would make it there on my own eventually.

OK I never paid you a bug bounty but in my understanding I was just asking for a little help. I didn't see it as a bug bounty type of thing. It's been 5 months now and we could have easily resolved this if you asked.

I think the trust you left is totally unfair and unwarranted, especially putting it 4-5 months later and only because we argued.

I have tried many times to have us on at least talking terms but you never wanted to. Maybe a lot of your posts I just minsinterpret what your meaning is or don't get some of your humour.

I'm not going to argue with you from now as it's gotten us nowhere and has been a huge waste of our time.

If you have any concerns or questions about the site or any form of support I will answer them but there's no point in going on about things from the past now.

No site would allow their affiliates to post on public forums anything that could hurt the sites traffic and you did this many times. That new thread had posts that have now been deleted and edited doing that. There's posts in this thread doing the same.
That is why your affiliate account was suspended.

I think you hurt your traffic more than all trolls on this forum combined. And aren't you paying affiliates a percentage of profit they bring for you, so how does it even make sense? Has the traffic increased significantly since you kicked BAC out and he changed his site?

I just don't see what all this accomplishes.

When I see you spreading lies about me, I counter those lies.

I don't know if it accomplishes anything, but I want the truth to be out there alongside your lies.

OK I never paid you a bug bounty but in my understanding I was just asking for a little help. I didn't see it as a bug bounty type of thing. It's been 5 months now and we could have easily resolved this if you asked.

It's a bug bounty kind of thing because I found a critical bug and told you about it. The fact that you asked me to doesn't change that fact. It just means the bug was even more critical. It had caused you to shut the betting down while you attempted and failed to find it. I have asked about why I didn't get the bounty in the past. You laughed and refused to answer.

I think the trust you left is totally unfair and unwarranted, especially putting it 4-5 months later and only because we argued.

Is there something in the trust feedback that isn't true? I have screenshots of you refusing to pay me "a satoshi" for the bug report. It was only yesterday that your position became clear. Until then I thought maybe you were just being lazy, but it turned out you really do not intend to pay me the bounty I earned.

I have tried many times to have us on at least talking terms but you never wanted to. Maybe a lot of your posts I just minsinterpret what your meaning is or don't get some of your humour.

Every time you try talking to me I respond and am civil. Almost all the name-calling and accusations of dick-sucking have come from you. Dick-sucker, troll, cult, old man, senile, etc. I have said you're very hard to reason with, because you go off on tangents all the time, and I think you often act like a dick. But I don't call you names. If we're not on talking terms, that's your fault. I keep on trying. Your "go fuck yourself" sign-off yesterday didn't exactly help, either.

I'm not going to argue with you from now as it's gotten us nowhere and has been a huge waste of our time.

So what is it? Talking terms, or "go fuck yourself"? Maybe have a think about it and get back to me.

If you have any concerns or questions about the site or any form of support I will answer them but there's no point in going on about things from the past now.

That's fine. If you stop spreading your lies about the past, I'll stop correcting you.

But when I see you telling people "we pay a bug bounty", don't be surprised if I tell them that it's not really true. If you tell people that you pay affiliate payments for referrals, don't be surprised if I point out that it's conditional upon them not creating a new thread on the forum.

You act unprofessionally, and unfairly. That's not OK, and I'm going to point out that it's not OK when you try to sweep it under the carpet.

I'm sure you noticed, but most the large players playing right now are my affiliates.

Maybe you should just shut the fuck up, quit the forums and pay me my shit.

Seems like this is the crux of the argument.  He asked you for a favor, you did it expecting to get paid.  Can the two of you see each other's side?  Do you think Dean was trying to screw you over, or can you see that he was asking a peer for assistance?  Can Dean see that you were hurt that something that he's compensated others for, he didn't think to compensate you for?

I don't think Dean will ever understand and I doubt his behavior or his way of business will change in the future.
He just goes hostile against anyone who points a fault in the code, or says something that is not good for the site(according to him)

**Sjess happened because of a coding fault you made.

**Dooglus pointed out the coding error, and even then , you have never paid him or were even thankful to him. Without whom, I doubt you would have found it.

**You go hostile against me for pointing out a serious UI bug.

**duckydonald recently said, you went hostile against him when he tried telling you about the bug.
And about that, if I happen to find a bug that can allow me to steal hundreds of BTC from the site, then I do expect to be paid. And it has to be you as a site developer to come at terms with me, and not me begging you to pay me.

**Now you cut out BAC's affliate earnings, even when he posted nothing negative about the site, but simply created a new thread. And its pretty evident, he has worked a lot to get those affliates.

**If someone says anything, even supporting other sites, you ban then, and start talking down to them.
http://i57.tinypic.com/mttimo.jpg
http://i59.tinypic.com/2jax8ye.png

** How do you expect people to warship you when your behavior is not at all professional.

**Most trusted dice site owner? Yeah right

PS: majority of the 60 pages of the thread are against/complaints about PRC or Dean. Don't you fucking see you are doing something wrong till now fucking fruit cake(Bay's way of saying it Wink)?

I used to count cards at a Bitcoin casino and made a few hundred dollars doing so.

I talked to the owner of the casino before I started doing it and he was fine with it. (He told me I was doing it wrong, as I continued to win more and more, but that's another story).

I don't see how you go from that to "he probably cheated at Just-Dice".

Clutching at straws much?

I'm not saying "he didn't pay me the bounty I'm due so he probably will steal the PRCdice bankroll" because that doesn't follow.

All I'm saying is "he didn't pay me the bounty I'm due". I'm not then drawing far-fetched conclusions from it.

Let's stick to the facts shall we?

Edit: if you don't see the difference between taking advantage of the edge that's available in a game and lying, cheating, and stealing, then I feel sorry for you. In my book the two are completely different. Playing with known seeds to steal from the investors is wrong. Using a winning strategy in blackjack isn't. How can you honestly consider the two things to be in the same ballpark?

I don't think Doog expected to get paid (initially). If that was his motivation he would probably ask for the specific amount beforehand. My guess is that Dean got pissed off/felt back-stabbed after Doog publicly described the flaw (after it was fixed) which was somewhat damaging to the site's (if not Dean's) reputation. So if the subject of bounty came up after that - that's probably why he refused to pay. Again, that's just my guess.

Anyway, they're both adult men (I assume) and they can sort that between themselves, if they're both willing to.
-------------

@Dean - cutting out BAC was a dick move. You seriously think he created new thread 'so people can troll more'? He obviously started it to get more affiliates = more traffic to PRCdice. If your post remained locked, his would be the main source of traffic BTCtalk --> prcdice, which is better than nothing. He was on your side.

Sounds like you blame him for the posts of others. If he didn't start new thread, someone else would, I was thinking about it too (for the same reasons: affiliates --> traffic) but he beat me to it.

And if, for whatever reason, you didn't want him to promote your site, then you should have just tell him to stop and not pay for any NEW affiliates, but you still should pay him for the old ones. It's a mutual agreement.

---------------
Speaking about affiliates, will payments be done today (Monday)? Also, is there a limited period for which we get the % of affiliate activity, or is it 'for life'? It's not specified in terms.

....

Most of these things have all been said in the heat of the moment when I have felt (even if it was not your intention) that you are trying to attack prc and the fact that, intentionally or not, you have led people away from the site. No matter what our history is I acted totally unprofessional on more than a few occasions and let petty emotion affect my judgement.

I apologise to you and also all PRC investors for that.

As mentioned in my previous post that kind of attitude or behaviour won't continue.
Even if we were to never get on and you trolled (or I mistook you for doing so) I would just ignore it as I am doing with all troll posts in here now.

The bounty, as CryForMeSky pointed out, I was just asking a peer for some help not thinking you wanted payment. You assumed you were and that's were we get this misunderstanding.

Yeah I guess this is what I'm wondering.  Doog feels that he's due money, which is probably fair (I have no clue what he did/what needed to be done, but assuming he helped fix a security leak it's fair to say that he should prob get compensated for that, especially if that is the precedent).  Did he always feel that he was due this money, or did he adopt that attitude after Dean said he wouldn't pay him?

Seems like this all boils down to respect, and both sides feel they were disrespected by the other.  Maybe if we get back to the original issue, both sides can start seeing things from the other one's point of view and see that it's pretty likely that no disrespect was originally intended from either.

I am very much enjoying my popcorn reading this thread. Wink

@PRC - I hope that you understand that this is not about the money and that dooglus most likely does not need any bug bounty to support himself, from what I understand he has more then enough money as it is. The issue at hand is the dishonesty. The issue is that you had a bug bounty program, a bug was found and you did not pay. If for some reason you are unable to pay him a bounty, I am sure this situation would be much different if you explained as much and asked him if he would be okay if you not pay him the bug bounty

If I was trying to hurt PRC, you reacting the way you did only would have helped my cause. When people see you getting so emotional about insignificant issues it doesn't give them a good impression. Your behaviour obviously reflects on the site.

As an example (dredging up the past, sorry; if I could dredge up the future I would) when I ask "do you have an ETA for that withdrawal", it's best to just give an answer. "armory crashed so I need to resync it. it could take an hour" would be a good response. "its not 12 hours yet so whats youre problem" isn't a good response.

I apologise to you and also all PRC investors for that.

Apology accepted. I'm sorry for saying that arguing with you was like arguing with a drunken Irish tramp. That's not fair. And I don't mean to attack your site in particular. I'm always pointing out things that suck on all the sites I look at. Please don't take it personally.

The bounty, as CryForMeSky pointed out, I was just asking a peer for some help not thinking you wanted payment. You assumed you were and that's were we get this misunderstanding.

I assumed that as I was finding a bug, and finding bugs gets bounties, that I would get a bounty. That's how it works at sites with a bug bounty. Here's my deposit history at bitzino. The lines with words in the right-hand column instead of txids are bug bounties:

These were for minor mostly cosmetic glitches I reported. Never once did I have to beg for the bounty, it was just credited automatically.
