hey dev why don't we add in a anon feature at launch. like using coinjoin or Tor.. Recently launched finercoin uses coinjoin and it works fine

Launch code is set and in final testing phase with official pools.  Once the launch is complete I will get community feedback regarding various features / marketing directives to pursue and what resources it would take to achieve said objective.  Once that is done and decided upon I would organize a project towards that objective.

Personally I would like to have a healthy debate as to whether anon is something that is worth pursuing over other goals.

I'm really not trying to be a d-bag here, but why does almost nobody have a plan developed or implemented when they launch a coin? It's a constant battle of what's the dev doing? what's his plan? what are we going to do next? Rarely is there ever a cohesive plan from the start.

Nothing wrong with that question, and typically one that would denote a SHITCOIN immediately which I wouldn't touch. I am tired of hearing this shit. Two more launches went down today, and one of them was AmazoniaCoin. The silly tossers on that one were on the thread a week ago talking about how they couldn't make anything work and if some coders could help them. Difference being they were asking for Premine. I told them to put it away and go play, but they didn't listen, tried to launch today, got forked over backwards and in the mouth and stink pipe, then literally finally had to post this:

Quote
we have fucked up everyone. we tried to do this as a charity venture and it appears we are out of our depth in creating a crypto coin. we do apologise and i think i will stick to trading coins and mining them rather than creating them. once again we apologise for the shit launch.

In this case though this OP is putting up some of his own BTC to fund development now, and isn't doing Premine or IPO. That is to be supported even if the coin is a bit bland now.

The no Instamine part will be seen tomorrow if the launch goes well and no SHITCOIN BS is detected. If there is any of that, then the project won't have the following it has gained after tomorrow.

It's a low risk low reward thing. Have some miners ready and see what happens. If all this talk turns out to be SHITCOINese, then move your miners and come back to the thread to scream and yell.

I am willing to take a shot with someone who is playing with his own skin in the game, as long as that turns out to be the truth. The truth will be known about 10 minutes into launch.

He does have faith and plans on putting his own investments into creating this coin.  That should say enough that his own money is creating this.  Not your money, not IPO funds.  Hes using his own money.

That's is exactly what the Nanolite Coin Dev did and look at that coin now. Whats not to say this judgecrypto bought hundreds of bitcoins when they were $20, just like Nanolite Coin Dev did, and he can easily lose a few coins just so he can feel the glory of launching his own coin without really caring about the out come. Nanolite Dev made his coin with his own money, promised nice features and what not in the future. Then just vanished for a bit, comes back and tells the community a new dev will be taking over. Sounds exactly like what will happen here.

Is judgecrypto Nanolites original dev?

What does it matter? It costs you nothing but hash. 10 minutes into the launch you are going to know if there is anything to this or not. Move your hash if you see something fishy. Without a network the coin can't survive. Anyone willing to put his own coin in the game and now his credentials online is worth watching for that long.

Would you rather mine a Chinese SHITCOIN? Pretty much a no brainer to me.

screw me, but i do belive that sucesful coins in future will be ones who find the way to come to small miners, 10-20 mhash in X11 or something, people who will mine and hold, we got tired of mining shitcoins for 10 days just to realize that some farm dumped the shit out of it and all you mined is worthless, no point to keep it mining, another crap on some crapy exchange

Judge, please make a giant countdown clock on the OP.  I don't get what's so confusing about July 5th 20:00GMT but it might be better if there was a ticker.  I'll link to it on the main pool.

I know it is not exactly what you are asking, but with Altcoin Herald you can add the launch right to your Google calender and set an alarm to remind you. If your forget things like me it works out great! Smiley

I agree with you it is hard in crypto as people try to manipulate the crap out of it in many areas not just mining.  I am hoping the coin is not that popular actually as I clearly state there is no perm dev and I am not promising to cure cancer or create the Taj Mahal.

So I am hoping just the true believers mine the coin.

If the coin is raped by pools I hope people mine multipools  and buy judge coin from an exchange.

I will be mining on a single 290x.  If I think the hash is f'd up I will tell you guys

I am thankful to all those that have supported me Wink

Binaryclock,

Thanks for supporting judge coin.  I am sorry I overlooked you earlier.  Hopefully we get to work together as a launch partner another time.

I am also thankful to the official pools as they have worked hard to ensure a smooth launch.

Till I can get a countdown timer up, you can google time in GMT and google will tell you the time.  The launch is 8pm GMT .  I really should have had a timer up.  My apologies.  I am typing on my iPad ATM so can't put it up yet.

Since the launch will happen while im in bed, im going to leave my miner going, since the pool is in test mode, will i have to manually restart mining for launch, or will the pool automatically dump the test coins and start the new blockchain automatically?

Wish you good luck with the launch. We as a community should full support a coin if there is no Premine,no IPO and a transparent Developer and discourage a coin with newbie Dev with IPO and big Premine scam.

I also believe that apart from these attributes, limiting the max hash rate to mine per IP address is the most efficient way for fair distribution of coin.I hope there would be some future launches which adopt this idea like Minearls did.
