Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

THE PEOPLE ARE GOING TO LOOSE SO BAD IN 2012 fixed it for you. Funny how you equate Republicans to people. I equate people to people. I have absolutely no political affiliation. I dislike them all equally. The people are always the losers in our current political system. The left-right, lib-con, dem-rep paradigm is a farce. An illusion of "choice" given to us so we can be more easily controlled and divided and conquered, mostly so we do not concentrate on them and the system inside of the box... the real problem. They both have identical asperations and policy at the top echilons of the parties and feed us meaningless small issues to fight over to keep us preoccupied. Actually the problem is us... The People... For our apathy and disinterest. How many of you actually research and investigate candidates, their writings, speeches, and voting records prior to forming an opinion or voting ?

They believe in using the counter-culture or grey markets to take down the current system. Working within the system will only corrupt the individual. I only vote so I am on the jury pools so I can nullify victimless crimes.

What you have is the illusion of a birth certificate. It's a bad forgery. If they were smart, they would have printed it out, THEN scanned it as a PDF instead of using adobe manipulation tools to create it in layers. As a graphic artist hobbiest, I know all about "layers" in graphics, which do not exist without software tools creating them (so you can manipulate, add, and delete content contained within). I believe in freedom, liberty, and sovereignty, so I would not be a participant in facilitating the descruction of said.

I never gave much attention to the birther movement, not because it's incomprehensible, but because it seems like they have no idea about all the other much worse shenanigans that go on. Is there a reasonable explanation as to why their pdf document - which is supposedly a scan of a birth certificate - has parts of the written text on one layer and part on another? When I scan documents -> PDF this never happens. And I'm assuming the anti-forgery paper is what the state supposedly copied the original onto - why is that on a separate layer? If it was added electronically, that seems like it would defeat the purpose. I'm completely open to a logical reason for this - but I can't think of one.

Funny thing is, if the CIA or whoever wanted to install a candidate they themselves controlled, there are FAR more and likely better choices among those definitely born in the US. Why would they pick a foreigner, and then try to hide it? I mean, what does Obama have that plenty of others don't?

Well, a proven illegal alien manchurian son of the CIA uncostitutionally and treasonously acting as POTUS would make a nice case for remembering to water the tree of Liberty, no? (This obviously does not imply that I think that having mandatorily an alien president of the USA elected by the rest of the world would not be a good idea)

This is soooo silly. Believe me, if there was a liberal plot to take over the world, I would be involved. The impulse to fantasize about this kind of thing comes from the same people who see a tiny light in the sky and assume the least likely possibility. It must be aliens! You guys need to spend more time reading books by smart people and less time watching crap TV written by idiot hacks. You do realize TV is a real conspiracy? A conspiracy to get you to watch commercials.

I don't have acrobat pro available to me and don't know of any freeware that can see the "links". Photoshop only shows layers and there is just one. Although the white glow around all the text is there like the video says. Anyone trashing the video, please watch it first and then you can say that it's just a bunch of conspiracy.

Photoshop only shows layers and there is just one. Although the white glow around all the text is there like the video says.
Anyone trashing the video, please watch it first and then you can say that it's just a bunch of conspiracy.
Why bother? Those that believe Obama is a Kenyan Muslim will not be convinced by anyone who disagrees with them. That's the nature of conspiracy theories.

Red Emerald, yes, I did, even though I initially thought that the birthers were crazy. That may still be true, but the posted document is a joke as far as I can tell. No one has posted a reasonable explanation as to why it looks so obviously forged. Instead we have clearly biased individuals that are so vested in their position that they refuse to look at objective evidence and respond with ad hominem attacks instead.

Its not ad hominem to point out that something is futile. Whether its the Kennedy assassination, Roswell, 9/11 truthers, Princess Di assassination nuts or Obama birthers, nothing will ever change their minds. Its just a waste of time. EDIT to add classic example from wikipedia: http://spp.sagepub.com/content/early/2012/01/18/1948550611434786.full.pdf+htmlThe study found that people who believe Osama Bin Laden was captured alive by Americans are likely to also believe that Bin Laden was actually killed prior to the 2011 raid.

It absolutely is ad hominem to say that it's pointless to examine someone's evidence because you think there is something wrong with the person rather than the evidence.
It's also ridiculous, because as I've said many times, I would like to see an explanation for this evidence, as it contradicts my earlier view. But you clearly don't have one.

My view is that it doesn't matter. He passed the eligibility test when he was born in Hawaii. His birth was advertised in the local newspapers. Why waste your time fretting over his birth certificate when your mind could be more usefully employed?

The important question is whether he is eligible and that isn't disputed.

Apparently it IS disputed. And fraud perpetrated by a governing body should be a concern to everyone. I would have thought that was a given. It really isn't. There is a guy at WND that insists people like Obama and Rubio are not "natural born" as they have a parent who was born outside the US. Its a fair agrument but even he accepts that Obama was born in the US. There are people who say that, even if he was born in Hawaii, the published document must be a fake. They take that a step further to say that unless a better document is found, they won't accept that he is eligible. That's the Sheriff Joe line. Its a waste of time because the Hawaii says they have a record of his birth and his birth was advertised. There is no eligibility question.

It's hilarious that you keep saying "There is no eligibility question." Clearly with all these people questioning his eligibility, there is a question.
I've never been one of those people, so I don't know the facts. But from your statements alone, your stance seems unsupported: Hawaii "says" they have proof, and the proof provided is forged. An advertisement is only proof that someone thought it was important to make it look like he was born in Hawaii. It's not proof of eligibility.
I completely agree that there are much worse things going on in our government and have never given this issue much attention. But refusing to acknowledge this poor forgery is looking sillier than the birther people ever looked.

Hawaii doesn't have better birth records for anyone else. And within days of his birth in Kenya, his family said "This little black baby is the ideal Manchurian candidate. Lets fly to Hawaii and advertise his birth." When I say there is no eligibility question, I mean there is no-one worth taking seriously. Sure you will find lunatics who insist that he was born in Kenya, that the ad was run by Bilderberg activists and the staff in Hawaii is part of the conspiracy. Are you sure you want to join them?

You're making an unsupported leap there. It's perfectly reasonable that someone having a kid outside the US might want to make sure he's considered a natural born citizen without any plans for him to be president. (P.S. - newspapers accept ads over the phone.)
Anyway - I'm not joining anyone. From the view of a non-vested party, people who dismiss this obvious fraud are being just as silly as any conspiracy theorists.
That's really all I have to contribute. As I've said from the beginning, I was hoping you DID have something which could explain this nonsense.

So in Kenya in 1960, someone thought a black baby could be a future president. They advertised his birth over the phone from Kenya to Hawaii. Then the Hawaiian state recorded his birth over the phone as well. Can you not see how stupid that idea is?

No that is not reasonable. The family say a child was born in Hawaii, the local government recorded his birth on the same day and his parents advertised it a few days later. Can I prove that he wasn't actually born in Kenya? No - of course not. But the same is true for you. I can't prove you weren't born in Kenya either. The question is - does it matter? If the local government, school photos, passport, and the vetting by press and by the GOP that goes with running for office failed to find any evidence that he was born outside the US, why would you or I worry about it ?

Obama's birth certificate say he was born in Hawaii and, in the absence of proof he was born somewhere else, what's the point in examining the "evidence" or watching videos where 'The press conference was the "news of content."'
Unless there is positive evidence that he was born outside the US, there is no story here.

There is evidence he wasn't born in Hawaii, but you REFUSE to look at it. Watch the damn video. It shows the certificate is an electronic forgery and NOT a scan like it should be. The video does not say he Muslim or born on Kenya or any of the other things that you have said to distract from the actual topic

http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/rss_viewer/birth-certificate-long-form.pdfSo I guess there's a perfectly good reason why Snopes would have cropped the document posted on whitehouse.gov ? They wouldn't have any motivation to hide the fact that the security paper background is obviously not original and exists as a separate layer? Go ahead and compare them. The evidence is right there, plain as day.

Having a partisan bent doesn't make you a conspirator. I'm just saying their "debunking" is not very objective if they don't post the original version of his purported birth certificate, and instead post this cropped version. It looks like they either didn't do very thorough research, or they are hiding something.

Uh.. I think I said that 3 times now... But I'll repeat for really slow learners: Step 1: Digitize the birth certificate Step 2: Print it on the green paper Step 3: Notarize it Step 4: Digitize it again and post as the PDF. Step 5: Uh PROFIT! Tell me which part of the process are you confused with?

I'm going to start a new conspiracy theory, and claim that, even though Obama is a legitimate US citizen, his group created a fake looking birth certificate on purpose, to distract the more fringe, er, I mean more scrutinizing citizens from something more sinister. Let them spend hours fretting over his fake looking birth certificate, while they institute a OneWolrdGovernment/AlienInvasion/LizardMen/MindControl policy.

So the correct answer when some nutter says "Its a fake, I've spent 7 weeks examining the layers in Photoshop and its definitely a fake." is to say "That's exactly what they want you to think." I love it.

That whole "layers" argument is ridiculous. You can make anything look like a composite image. In fact, this is common practice in making animations from stills.

A scanner is going to make a bunch of links, not layers. There is only one layer. I haven't heard of links, but that is what he called them in the video. There are not enough links to back up the claim that this image is not an electronic forgery (or so the video claims). Some of the links shown in the video have just a date in them while another has the entire security paper background. THIS IS NOT HOW SCANNERS WORK; THIS IS HOW FORGERS WORK. I don't understand why you are talking about animation. Someone has to be able to independently verify this. Does no one have Acrobat Pro Illustrator?!

His guys examined it and he changed his mind and said it was genuine. Which is a shame really. Obama wants you to believe its a fake and spend all your time on that instead of worrying your pretty little head over stuff like the economy.

What? Are you for real? Did you read it? Also the lawyer said "We do not believe the president’s birth certificate is relevant to this case." The judge agreed. The case was dismissed.

What I'm referring to is that part that the respondents evidence, including the longform birth certificate, were deemed not authentic.
Again, this won't matter in the long run. But anyone who is refusing to look at that fraudulent garbage they posted on the whitehouse website once it's been pointed out that it's fake is just being silly. If you don't care about the argument then don't comment on it.

The Obama lawyer didn't provide any evidence. It was irrelevant. Birther bites the dust, yay. http://www.obamaconspiracy.org/2012/04/birther-bites-dust/The decision of the court, that was reaffirmed in the doc that you quoted: http://www.scribd.com/puzo1/d/88910250-Purpura-Moran-Initial-Decision-of-ALJ-MasinHere is what the judge said: It is unnecessary to reinvent the wheel here; the subject has been thoroughly reviewed and no new legal argument on this issue has been offered here.

Agreed. Its best find something else to criticise Obama for. One could look at his kowtowing to Wall Street or is that just too boring?

So I actually watched the videos on Snope. He goes through almost all of the layers in Illustrator and actually explains what people mean by optimization.
The only thing he didn't show was the stamp layer being the entire stamp and easy to drag around.

If this is Obama's real birth certificate then Obama should have no difficulty stating when his birthday is. Unfortunately, Obama doesn't seem to know himself when his birthday is. Is Obama 48, 50, or 52 years old? Don't ask Obama because he already publicly gave three different ages. The truth is easy to remember, lies are not. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wF_n-gn-YoIf Obama is removed for ineligibility, any laws he signed are null and void. If he is impeached for illegal actions, like declaring war without asking congress for permission, then the laws he signed remain. Of the two methods of getting rid of Obama, I prefer the former, giving us an opportunity to undo any damage created by laws he signed.

There is no way at this point congress is going to make everyone redo their flags for puerto rico or the dominican republic or some occupied middle east country. After seeing that flag, I see a way.

So rather than replace all of our flags, we will have to replace all of our flag poles? That looks cool as a pin, but I don't see how it would work well on a real flag pole.

Hawker, you've added nothing to this thread but troll posts.
You "snipped" out the published evidence of the man himself claiming to have been born in Kenya.
You're not even an American. What makes you think we care about your opinion?

Yes, the entire US government is silly. That's why we're discussing it. The entire US government says the birther thing and the truther thing are both nonsense. For whatever reason, birthers and truthers can't change their minds but its very good for them to be reminded that the rest of the world regards them as misguided and confused.

The problem with 'birthers' is they constantly ignore facts and come up with little snippets of things that are NOT FACTS and call them facts. As they say, you are entitled to your own opinions, not your own facts. In the above links, hearsay is presented as fact. Besides the REAL birth cert, the living witneses, there were printed birth announcements in TWO local papers. From wiki: "In 1961, birth notices for Barack Obama were published in both the Honolulu Advertiser and the Honolulu Star-Bulletin on August 13 and August 14, 1961, respectively, listing the home address of Obama's parents as 6085 Kalanianaole Highway in Honolulu.[7][13] On November 9, 2008, in response to the persistent rumors, the Advertiser posted on its web site a screenshot of the announcement taken from its microfilmed archives. Such notices were sent to newspapers routinely by the Hawaii Department of Health.[13] In an editorial published on July 29, 2009, the Star-Bulletin pointed out that both newspapers' vital-statistics columns are available on microfilm in the main state library. "Were the state Department of Health and Obama's parents really in cahoots to give false information to the newspapers, perhaps intending to clear the way for the baby to someday be elected president of the United States?" the newspaper asked.[78]"
