Fairlay.com doesn’t want to be another automated bookie, Fairlay seeks to crowd-source information by providing a totally open prediction market.  Functioning more like a conditional exchange, the website not only allows users to bet but to see public confidence on various bitcoin and altcoin related events, as well as sports, and YouTube views.

"How prediction markets
In a typical prediction market, users make a bet, in some form or another. On Fairlay, for example, a user may simply state a prediction, and give odds, and wait for another user to match that bet."

These are great odds.

Nice website, love it.

Keep up the good work!

Ive made a good chunk on the difficulty bets.

Fairlay - 5
I had a very unique experience with this site: Around a week ago, my computer was infected with a trojan that presumably stole all my sessions and cookies. The attacker proceeded to sift through my various online accounts and requested withdrawals to his address on all my bitcoin-related accounts; I had around 2BTC on fairlay. When I noticed this the next day, I immediately sent an email to Fairlay asking not to process the withdrawal. I received an email back stating that the withdrawal would not be sent. Unfortunately, likely through a miscommunication or the like, the withdrawal did go through and the attacker received my 2BTC, I was really devastated. To my surprise however, after I emailed support about this, the owner of the site claimed responsibility for the lack of miscommunication and completely reimbursed me the 2BTC, out of his own pocket. So that should tell you how they treat their customers Smiley
Otherwise, I like the site. In general I like the idea of a bitcoin betting exchange. In addition, the commission is really low (2% on net winnings), and the interface is really clean and user friendly.

fairlay = 5 (Good looking site, functional all the time, good odds, helpful staff)

Fairlay = 4

i like the competitive way of betting against other users.

good usability : seeing the percentages, being able to scroll up and down.

Fairly 4.5 they have potential.

ty @fairlay. the odds are indeed great

I have sent the funds that I withdrew back to my account. I can't miss prices like yours.
That would be cutting my nose off to spite my face.

we are happy to get comments, suggestions or any kind of feedback in what directions we should improve further.

One of the things on our "todo-list" are bets without the need of an account.

We started a collection of current open bets with better odds than you would get on betfair here:

Good luck to you, looks good. Lots of similar sites opening recently. I like that your advertising is focused on the meat and potatoes (margin, volume) and not miscellaneous bonuses and stuff.
However, I'd really like for you to use standard football lines (you don't have to offer the full extent that betfair offers, but standard FT 1x2 lines are a must, these "to qualify" lines are rarely relevant throughout the season) and also use the standard terminology (back, lay, outcomes labeled by team names or 1x2 rather than "yes/no"). In the future, you could perhaps have a sports section that makes it simpler to bet on sports rather than the "catch-all" interface you have now.
Additionally I'd like to be able to see how much is matched/unmatched on each different outcome at each different odds, betfair style, and not just in total.

No, sorry - we have no bonus program running now.
However - it is possible to test our site for free:
We have a test version of it running here: http://188.165.246.217/

It works with free test net Bitcoins, read more about it here: http://blog.fairlay.com/2014/04/test-fairlay-with-free-testnet-coins/

Thanks for your suggestions. Your impression is right - our interface was not designed for people who do sport betting all day. In user test we found out that new people are really confused of for example lay odds of 4. What they wanted to know is what odds they get (1.333) and not what they give the other site.

Another example is, that "normal" people are confused if they bet on "Germany will win" and then we say them - your bet did not win because Germany did not win after 90 minutes.

So - in our opinion - for sport books pros it is way easier to figure out how our site works then the other way round for newcomers.

The way we want to attract the pros is purely by exceptional odds and low fees.

However, we are always willing to add features. We already implemented the feature you suggested regarding the overview of all open bets on our testserver: http://188.165.246.217/predict/registered/new/brazil-will-win-the-football-world-cup/
and then click on: "show additional stats" We will deploy it on the real server soon.

@ctlaltdefeat

Ok - we deployed at least one of your requested features: You now will find a list of all open predictions (click on "show additional information")

BTW.: have a look at the Germany odds: https://www.fairlay.com/predict/registered/new/france-will-reach-the-next-round-against-germany/
You wouldn't find these anywhere else...

@arieq

We stared at least a very little "bonus": If you sign up you get 1mBTC for your first prediction.

Isn't the odds better on Betfair in your examples, or am I reading it wrong?  Huh

well - our statement was that the odds are more or less the same. In some they have better - in some we. (always the fat ones) However - if you include the lower fee we can beat them on all these examples.

We started a thread collecting current bets where we really beat the betfair odds significant:

one more example for significant better odds on Fairlay then on betfair:

right now it is extremely attractive to bet against Germany!! The odds are now 1.49!! With more then 1100 mBTC open!

https://www.fairlay.com/predict/registered/new/germany-will-win-the-football-world-cup/

Ad betfair you get odds of 1,37 for the same bet (lay odds of 3,7)

You should add individual games and an option to display odds as decimal or american.

If you click on a event you get the decimal odds. (we can add american soon).

What do you mean with "individual games"? Anything specific?

All of the sports bets you currently have are props for who will win such and such a tournament/cup etc (unless I'm misunderstanding something which could totally be the case).

Yes - that was right. But now we add daily more sport event.
Right now we have 13 open events and we will add at least 2 per day this week.

The volume is very low but you can be sure: if you place a open bet with realistic odds we will try to write about it and get you a match. Since it is obv. in our interest to get things running...
