Dear Users,
deposits won't be credited before Sunday 10pm.
Unfortunately I am travelling and my laptop broke.
Fairlay Admin
@fairlay support. please put an announcement on.
Can anyone confirm this? The announcement above seems shifty due to it being posted by a newbie with a spelling error in its username. However, my deposit has 3 confirmations already but fairlay has not funded my account yet. So if it is true, then what timezone are you talking in? And what is the reason for not crediting deposits before 10PM? It's not like the server is on your laptop... right? Oof. Not a good sign (that one person on a laptop is running the whole deposit operation, with no backup).

Hi all,
sorry for the problems during the weekend. Due to an unprecedented high number of deposits, we were running out of credit. We had to increase the number of bitcoins in our system to 3500 to be able to process all deposits. We refrain from adding the deposited bitcoins to our public cold wallet address this time as most of the bitcoins will probably be withdrawn again after the US Election markets settle.
Thank you for your understanding.
Regarding the Next President market we received a lot of questions how it will be settled in certain extraordinary circumstances. Well we do not want to discuss every possible scenario but want to say that we will go along with the industry consent, namely bigger exchanges like Betfair, Matchbook, Smarkets and so on.

Thanks -- I had some trouble with my original unconfirmed transaction with no fee (oops) so that must have been why. Appreciate your help!

Political offerings seem to be going up and down all day today (currently no "Next President" is even offered). Is this by design?

I dont think you can bet anymore on the next president. Most sites closed the bets when the pools opened. And right now looking at the polls Hillary is way way in the lead anyways. Bets wouldn't be fair.

Hey,
what a stirring decision night! There was no time for a hangover for us, we processed around 200 withdrawals in the last 12 hours, alltogether over 1500 BTC were cashed out so far.
We therefor had to decrease the number of Bitcoins on our platform to 2500.
Anyway, we are very pleased about the outcome of the election. We generated more than 40 BTC in fees and all of this money is going into the developement of Fairlay. Congratulation to all winners and thank you for betting on Fairlay!

for fun I wagered small on a dice game. to try the software and look things over. noplace do I see the random number listed? how does a customer or the fairplay know what it was so it can be graded correctly? It says to ask in this forum? how does the forum know? thanks all! somehow this hash value listed helps?? how does that work? would it be difficult for the softwrae to just update and list the random number on the RESOLVED wager page??? seems so obvious to do that. Dice Game EB7360 - Random Number > 0.5? You bet on the value of a random number between 0 and 1. The market is settled immediately after one bet is matched. The hash value is EB7360EC818399D60D2042047510D5FBF9207C4AThe random number generator is probably fair and run by Fairlay. After settlement you may ask in the forum for the proof. horse exchange is not fully working today. is there a glitch. Many prices and offers are listed on the primary page. but when you click on any wager for or against the new screen comes up and shows this. No wager can be taken. Then in addition after trying a wager on a specific race and getting this error that RACE totally disappears from the listed options!! In this case the 17:30 race at dunkirk is now totally gone form the main screen (despite 11 more minutes to post). its like wagering on something causes it to first not be taken and second makes that race totally disappear from the interface! 17:30 Winner Source: https://smarkets.com/betting-rules/#horse-racingClosing in: 00:08:23 Resolution date : Nov. 18, 2016, 5:45 p.m. (35 minutes from now) Unmatched : 6,717.06 mBTC Commission : 0% You prediction was not placed! The line has changed. Please try again in a few seconds. The full amount have been refunded to your account already.

Why does fairlay take down all the horse race wagers 8 minutes before post time? That seems much too early
Is there a Glitch on that also?

We are aware, that the behaviour of very volatile markets in horse racing is not very good. That's why it's still in alpha. Best you try betting on markets that start in more than 30 minutes. We couldn't sign up more / better market makers in the horse racing segment so far.

im sure this won but the system did not pay it as a winner. can you check and verify
You bet on the value of a random number between 0 and 1. The market is settled immediately after one bet is matched. The hash value is E18D9FC7B98735D6053636ACC4A318BB21B3F042The random number generator is probably fair and run by Fairlay. After settlement you may ask in the forum for the proof.

You can use MD5 hash generators and SHA1 hash generators. The hash given by Fairlay is 0.467095633720558AgtEfgbOfEfNDSIfemtmirpOIffVaWftPiEWfgSdJFGWkj%pddlsoUWMfQWWnbfC$qZkdsDCCHWrdOkXK%dWpEJfEfeWflDleflU After 5 rounds of MD5, it becomes ff7d4bed5a8da9eb67b5f589009f1afe c24adcd8c1584f4e3466b71f468ce8d6 309de87ef615c67d112de38cef2c1802 bef187f66a643ad77af5b3bc10caaa66 f2a8cdf9e26608cd65ccbe34b58e0718 Take the last one, hash it 5 times with MD5 and you should get the hash posted on the bet. 5B1896F3465B2D733C4CFBBEF158DB14692CABBB 520A612F606E1AE0E2B38EDC37F5525D55602039 1F0D57A4A417D6BB96C8CFD02C805FA9AF12EE80 B08F30FDF8DA5FBC7597DC5199A2541A5025D92D A899E5562883D239F4BF706C85F9DEF5F2D2548D I think that is how it should be done, or I might have misread something. Fairlay should post how to verify it on their website (couldn't find it in the FAQ or the dice page)
