Nice to see! Are you guys following any other coins that also seem to be making a quiet but sure progress and building up to a breakthrough?
To me it looks like Motocoin has interesting developments coming ahead and my other target - PayProCoin is well, simply undervalued and underpromoted, when considering the liable manpower and registered companies behind it, as well as the beautifully destroyed premine - will be interesting to see when they finally get the coin sold for cash at partner stores in UK.
Please keep posts relevant to silkcoin. Thanks.

Good work Lorenzo!
Everyone check out the new website, optimized for mobile and desktop across all browsers.
Post your review! http://silkcoin.io/ Minor thing to consider, The "Strong Community" pop-up under "Why Silkcoin" reads "...,polls will be held to decide of the future of our coin". I think it should read "polls will be held to decide the future of our coin". Also, can you announce when and where the silk/btc donations go? As a donator/invester I would like to know when the funds are dispersed. Thx The funds are held by badass.sx escrow services. To date only one payment (block explorer) has been taken from the escrow. What was required to do this by badass, was for me to provide the relevant donations and prove there had been no disagreement in the thread. This is obviously not the ideal method, and will be updated once the voting system is complete. Dev payments and purchases to date have been donated by myself personally in excess of 300k silk and equivalent to; and through the bounty list. I understand that the community escrow is a delicate subject, and before any further spending should happen, the voting system will need to be in place, and elect signing officers chosen for multisig options we are looking into. The comm payment system is obviously not complete at this point, and why i chose to donate in the amounts that i have to keep escrow reserved for the future management decisions. I regards to developer payments, they were not requested, but i felt the need to pay them for all of their hard work in lieu of comm funds requiring a proper system for release. It is also to be noted that the comm owes badass .05btc for escrow services. Again as in last payment, i will need to see posts of agreement and no discontent by comm in order to make payment. If there is disagreement, i will pay personally, but i believe that is a very fair price for his offer and our use of his escrow services. After the amount of 10btc or equuvalent, there is no charge for his services.

Things moving along very nicely.
things will move first slowly and steadily then it will take some pace. Yes, we are building a very strong foundation, and are already much further ahead in quality of code and client, developers, community support and involvement, then previously seen in Silkcoin. We are still in whisper mode, and are not taking the bullshit marketing tactics of a scam coin; giving false hopes and promises which make a few wealthy off of trades before they move to the next coin and crash the market. We are making sure that what is released is solid, instead of giving in to fear of project timeline failure based on price alone. The technology and innovations will speak for themselves. The goal is to release the techs properly and professionally. The aim is to only schedule release dates when projects are fully complete and tested, as opposed to scheduling releases of techs that are not finished, or perhaps not even started. This is a recipe for disaster of which effects have been seen numerous times in crypto. Welcome to the new faces in the thread. Please feel free to post comments and suggestions!

There is a variety of issues that may have caused this.
The solution should be to enter into %appdata%/roaming/silkcoin
Right click on wallet.dat and save a copy in a safe place.
Delete everything but wallet.dat file and unzip blockchain download into silkcoin folder then run client again. You also can skip the bc download and resync again. If problem persists please pm and we'll investigate further.

Good work Lorenzo!
Everyone check out the new website, optimized for mobile and desktop across all browsers.
Post your review! http://silkcoin.io/ Wonderful!!!! The only thing is that I cannot get the background from the dashboard on the new wallet Do I have to delete the old data before launching the new wallet(1.0.9.3)? I know it's a minor thing but I've donated 5000 SC only to get the wallet look like that, Love that background Also I downloaded the source code from the site and opening the INSTALL file gives me this "Building BlackCoinSee doc/readme-qt.rst for instructions on building BlackCoin QT, the intended-for-end-users, nice-graphical-interface, reference implementation of BlackCoin. See doc/build-*.txt for instructions on building blackcoind, the intended-for-services, no-graphical-interface, reference implementation of BlackCoin." Shouldn't be Silkcoin there instead of Blackcoin?

Yep that looks like something that should be changed. lol It will be updated. Thank you.

N00b question: If I store the Silkcoin-qt-32 file in a folder on my C: drive, where is the default location to store the wallet.dat file? I have never seen it, and would like to know where it is so I can back it up, etc.
Thanks

First off you can download wallet and once synced go to file and there is a backup wallet option in dropdown list. You can save it to where ever you would like. If you want to know specifically then go to Start - Run and type in %app and go to roaming folder. Find silkcoin folder and open. The wallet.dat file will be in there.

Shouldn't be Silkcoin there instead of Blackcoin? Apparently it's a copy and paste Yep it sure was. Hence why the client died and all the exchanges froze the coin and the developers ran away. This has been no easy fix. In hindsight, it would have been far easier to start an entirely new coin, do a complete relaunch, go to version 2 or something along these lines.. But the comm did not want this. I did not want this either. There has been far more work put into repair then there has been in development of the massive bank of ideas that could have already been accomplished. Changing an old install file should not be a big issue. And in regards to my previous comment, there has also been massive forward motion of the bank of ideas from the comm. What everyone is going to see from Silkcoin will far surpass anything the previous devs and comm dreamed of. This is not just a coin. It truly is a revolution. We are Silkcoin.
