I hope the developers stay away as far as they can from this rotten community. Helping criminals hiding their financial status makes you a criminal yourself. If the darknet starts using Nav there is nothing you can do about that, but help them, never!

Coin Payments have started to setup Nav Coin and it should become available as soon as their servers have synced the block chain. Thanks so much for all your votes. Soon you will be able to make online purchases with Nav and implement it in your own online stores. Watch this space! Hi Nav Coiners, We've been added to the public coin vote for coinpayments.net. Coin Payments is very similar to Bit Pay, but it allows payments in over 50 alt-coins. If we get added to this platform, Nav Coin will be instantly integrated into over 75000 online stores as a payment option. If you have any spare BTC and would like to see NAV merchant tools, please cast your votes. If we get to 1000 Votes we get automatically added. Coin PaymentsIntegrated payment gateway for cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Litecoin. Over 75,500 vendors across 182 different countrieshttps://www.coinpayments.net/vote I have personally donated 366 votes (0.366 BTC). If you have any dust lying around, please buy us some more votes! They actually give the raised funds to charity and their faucet, so its also a good cause. Cheers, Craig. Very nice, keep this kinda news coming

If you have a problem with dark net you shouldnt be using bitcoin, or dolar, or *insert any coin here*. if it's money, they will accept in most cases.

How often should one backup their wallet? Is it enough to do it once after encrypting with new password?

How often should one backup their wallet? Is it enough to do it once after encrypting with new password?
For the full node wallet, you need to back it up after encrypting it and again after adding any new addresses. It is not necessary to back it up after every transaction, just whenever you generate a new address is enough. For the mobile and thin clients, you should be able to retrieve all balances by using your 12 word seed phrase, so there is no need to back anything up apart from the phrase. Cheers, Craig.

each time you generate a new address, and each time you change your encryption passphrase

what is it Nav?
Nav is a digital currency. It focuses on privacy and fast global transactions. The user has the option to send Nav Coin Anonymous to a receiver. The connection between the sender and receiver is broken by using a secondary blockchain, the Subchain. By using a secondary blockchain Nav stays transparent and has all the benefits of blockchain technology. Currently Nav is being decentralized, meaning there is no central point of operations controlling it all and being a weak point to take Nav offline. *** Note that the Nav send between the Holding Address and the NAV Pool happens in a following cyclus so that there is no connection on the blockchain. All the transactions happen in random amounts and size. The NAV Pool is prefilled. The receiver is paid out of the Pool. The Subchain transports the encrypted data (Receiver address + Amount of NAV sent). The outgoing server uses this verified data to send the Nav to the receiver out of the Pool. The Nav sent by the Sender is used to refill te Pool in the next cyclus. Multiple transactions are handled by the servers in the same time. Nav is very user friendly. This is achieved by developing wallets for multiple platforms, Windows, Linux, Android, OSX, iOS. Downloads available here!Nav is being developed quickly and with great precision, Current projects are shown here!THE UNBREAKABLE CODE

Hi Nav Coiners! It’s time to resume our weekly update schedule. It’s been a pretty crazy week after all the excitement of the Navtech anon launch. I can confirm that the public system has been live for nearly a full week now and we have not had a single error nor experienced any server downtime. Everything is looking good. I’d like to give a special thanks to everyone who was involved in the beta test. You all helped to uncover those last few bugs which would have faulted the currently perfect public launch and I thank you all for your invaluable service. Navtech Decentralisation WhitepaperI have continued straight on to writing the Navtech Decentralisation Whitepaper. Most of the technical details of how the system works are covered in the existing Navtech Whitepaper. On a systems level it will operate almost exactly how the current service works. This whitepaper is more about how we ensure individuals are able to run their own Navtech systems without compromising the integrity or security of the wider network. I am hoping to finish writing the whitepaper this week and will publish it as soon as it’s ready. After the whitepaper is published I will begin to write the final pieces of the code required for decentralisation and continue to refine and test the existing code. When the code is ready to ship we will partner with one or more interested network operators who want to be the first people to set up their own functioning Navtech Server Cluster and set them up as the beta open source decentralisers. Following that will be the full public open sourcing of the Navtech system and Subchain. Coin Payments Merchant GatewayWe are very pleased to announce that we have been added to http://coinpayments.net. I can confirm their service is all up and running. I have set up a merchant account with them and have used the simple Point of Sale interface to receive a Nav Coin payment and then successfully withdrew it from their system. This saves us a lot of the work involved in cloning Bitpay for ourselves. We will continue to support this service so feel free to suggest it as a Nav Coin payment integration for any online and real world merchant or service provider whom you are in contact with. We are working towards a few exciting things in the merchant area which we will reveal as more details become available. Full steam ahead! That is about it from me for this week. I have been taking a few days off to recover from the exhausting work that was the Navtech anon release. We still continue to work towards the other things on our roadmap so stay tuned! Talk soon, Craig.

Great stuff Craig! Just to add to that, we've already had an offer from one of the Slack members who would like to accept Nav Coin as a payment method for his web hosting service. I also heard a rumor that there may be an official Nav Coin store with Merchandise in the works With the merchant gateway ready and decentralization just around the corner, it's exciting times ahead for Nav! Thanks for the support guys!
