Which block size has nav?
1MB like bitcoin or more?

From a recent press release:

In addition to the optional anonymous transaction service, Nav Coin’s biggest strength is it’s super fast network speed. It’s no secret that Bitcoin has an average transaction time of 10 minutes, with transactions over heavy periods taking much longer. With a block time of 30 seconds combined and a scalable block size of up to 20MB, the Nav Coin network is able to handle 1300 transactions per second.

Bitcoin has a maximum of 3-7 transactions a second due to the block time of 10 minutes and block size of 1MB.....

No they need the private keys (or the wallet.dat)

How often should one backup their wallet?  Is it enough to do it once after encrypting with new password?

For the full node wallet, you need to back it up after encrypting it and again after adding any new addresses. It is not necessary to back it up after every transaction, just whenever you generate a new address is enough.

For the mobile and thin clients, you should be able to retrieve all balances by using your 12 word seed phrase, so there is no need to back anything up apart from the phrase.

You can extract the privkeys from the wallet.dat, but usually you dont need to do that. Just save the wallet.dat or the seed phrase.

As many already know, it seems lately that every time NAV completes a project and gives kick-ass news, suddenly the NAV market reacts adversely. So we now know the target is around Christmas time-ish and if all goes well, we will all be surprised to wake up and see Decentralization in full affect around that time period. I don't know, just putting a thought out there. Peace.

No, it has nothing to do with that. The NAV team should just be open and transparent about their developments. If they deliver, sooner or later this wil be reflected in the NAV price. The team should not be worried about shortterm price drops by some market manipulators.
