Hello!
What is NAVcoin block time?
I am trying to understand this project - what is the MAIN (one) feature (advantage) of NAVcoin project?
On website navcoin.org - I can see multiple features, but non can shine enough.

Hi m1000.

Nav has different approach to Anon/Private transactions compare to other coins. It's called NavTech and it fully disconnects sender from receiver by using a cluster of two servers running a decentralised subchain. Users can set up their own servers and process those transaction and earn a fee for that. The amount of coins that a cluster of servers depends on the amount that the user has. And while the user does this process, they can earn rewards on those coins since NAV Coin is a PoS coin. The blocks get generated by the wallet itself and the reward is up to 5% per year.
User have the choice to decide if they want to send anon or not. Anon send takes up to 2 minutes and normal sends about 30 secs.

The block time es 30 secs.

At this time DEV team is upgrading the Core to bitcoin 0.13 which will allow new features like Segwit, merchant adoption, etc

Also they are finishing a Raspberry Pi Staking image so generating blocks will take less than 5 volts.

Among the future projects there's on in partnership with Instant Exchange Changelly called Polymorph that will allow any ALT or BTC to be anonimised by using NavTech and Dapps which will allow user to create anon apps.

Hi,

I have just joined Bitcoin Forum.

I am pretty new into the crypto world. I have been buying NAV coins over the last 2-3 weeks. I think it has a lot of potencial.

All my coins are on an exchange, Poloniex and Bittrex. I am a bit concern about the security and I am starting to be nervous. I would like to keep them safe in my own wallet.
The problem is that I am not a tech guy and I am lost with all this programming world (I am running a PC with windows). Is there any easy wallet to install in which I can keep the coins safe and stake them? Any web or forum or support team to explain me how do I need to install it?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi there and welcome!

Great to see you found your way to Nav Coin. Setting up a wallet might look a little complicated but believe me, when it's done you will look back at quite an easy process.

However, with the new 4.0 wallet around the corner you could wait for it. I also don't trust exchanges too much with my coins and keep them all off the exchanges so I understand your point. You could for now perhaps hold your coins in a mobile wallet, if you use Android that is.

On my website I have a guide that will help you setup the 3.9 wallet, https://navtechservers.com/nav-coin-full-node-wallet/. The guide will help you to setup the wallet. If you have any problem you can post it over here or on slack or telegram. (links can be found on: https://navtechservers.com/links/.

Good luck and if you have any questions feel free to ask!

Edit: shortly after The 4.0 release I will release tutorial videos on how to setup wallets, make anonymous transactions and more. I hope that will help everyone in the future with setting up the wallet.

Hello,

Don't worry about your Nav Coin. The block explorer shows the confirmed transaction so it is in the wallet. However you seem to not be synced up yet so it doesn't show in your wallet.

There could be a problem with syncing, this is a known issue that happens to a number of users. Very soon the 4.0 wallet will be launched that should fix this problem. Always make sure you have a backup of the wallet.dat. this file can be found in the NavCoin2 folder.

So nothing is lost it just doesn't show because it is not synced. You can try to reinstall the wallet, as explained here: https://navtechservers.com/nav-coin-full-node-wallet/

As I said, keep a backup of your wallet.dat!!!
