My post is only a last resort i do not wanna go on blair witch hunt ...........I with sincere honestly want this project to work and hope my suspicions are wrong ...........if im wrong i will first one to apologize

There's no point, this happens every day.
This crap should not happen every day we need to all come together and demand the exchanges start requiring devs to be verified they can remain anon to the community if they like but if they can not get listed on exchanges without transparency at least we could have recourse if they turn out to be scammers and find out who they are... I think the exchanges should be held responsible for listing coins which turn out to be scams.. there's a lot of money on the line the exchanges should take more precautions to protect the investors.. If the devs had to be verified to get on exchanges it would benefit them as well because they would not have to post in bitcointalk every 5 min to prevent panic from setting in from buyers and they could work on the coin. It would curb FUD as well... just think it would be good idea imo with all these MIA devs recently..

We should get some senior members, big investors and well known devs to back a petition, forcing the exchanges to be held responsible. Start a thread maybe.

So is the final verdict that the dev has gone "poof!" already. Another one bites the dust?

 - Update -

Things did not work out well for our initial test runs over the weekend.  But I don't like keeping people in the dark.

We are going to continue working on our technology but we clearly started this project too early.  And it is unfortunate that some whales used our coin price as a personal play toy for their own gain.  And we are getting blamed for that.  We still hold our coins.  Development takes time and we can't satisfy the whims of every entry price for people in this thread.  The next time you see us will be when the tech is closer to finished.  This might take up to another month.  Our initial chats with our partner made it sound like this would go more smoothly but additional time is clearly needed.

If the community would like to take over as they keep suggesting, then we could reconvene at a later time to combine our features with whatever feature set the community here develops.  But if what we develop seriously interferes with what the community here does then we will need to have a conversation about that.  At that point it may need to be a different coin/fork.

-------------------------------------------------

Now for something very serious that needs to be addressed which is not being taken lightly.

Someone in here did some real investigative work over the weekend, 4chan-style.  The previous threat was taken a step further and one of the developers had been contacted at their home.  They were threatened along with their family.  A complete name dox of family members associated with the developer was attained somehow.  Whether this has real intentions behind it or not is irrelevant and all threats are now being taken seriously.  A police report has been filed and all threats in this thread along with usernames have been recorded.  If the police consider it a real threat then bitcointalk may be subpoenaed for further information of the offending usernames.

We believe a personal information leak had something to do with 99designs because this is the dev who paid 99d up front with their credit card with the same phone number on file that was called.  He shut the contest down Monday morning without discussing these actions with the rest of the team.  This may have been premature and I am unsure if the entries can be recovered or not.  I do not blame him though for acting in such a distraught manner after hearing the voicemail.

It is unclear whether the threatened developer is leaving our team at this time.

...and the disaster continues.

So what you are saying is, it might take a while for the next update..possibly a month. Do you realize this coin will be dead by then? To the point of no return. Can you at least explain the retro shares tweet that said they have NOT been working with anybody at all. So you guys did plagiarize without their consent to do so. Yet another vague statement. Come on guys.

Devs next time you guys log in, can you actually fucking read the post history more thoroughly and answer the questions from the community. This is fucking pathetic. Just let there be a takeover since many people are invested thousands of dollars arleady. If we wait for a month for another update, this coin will be dead. And nobody in this community takes you seriously to hold out even another week. Just smoke and air so far. You guys have updated more on the 'threats' from presumably 12 year old computer nerds than the actual project. Let alone lie and plagiarized about everything thus far. Ridiculous.

So takeover needs to begin asap, not Wednesday.  Where do we begin?
To the Dev(s), I hope that isn't true but I'm honestly not surprised. If by some miracle you actually aren't a 1 man army who made a crypto too good to be true for your own personal gain, show some proof during this month of leave and you will have a community on your side instead of hating you.  Believe me, I've vouched for shield from day one but the past week has completely made me skeptical of what your intentions truly are.

here the DEFS profile i cant even call him dev anymore lol

Profile of the Sociopath

This website summarizes some of the common features of descriptions of the behavior of sociopaths.

Glibness and Superficial Charm

Manipulative and Conning
They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors as permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They may dominate and humiliate their victims.

Grandiose Sense of Self
Feels entitled to certain things as "their right."

Pathological Lying
Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and even able to pass lie detector tests.

Lack of Remorse, Shame or Guilt
A deep seated rage, which is split off and repressed, is at their core. Does not see others around them as people, but only as targets and opportunities. Instead of friends, they have victims and accomplices who end up as victims. The end always justifies the means and they let nothing stand in their way.

If he does get his working he will launch it as a new coin with no bad history and a clean slate. Unfortunately we have all been had! Go ahead an take over if you have skills & the 5+ hours a day to market and develop the coin.

I have the time and motivation to make this happen,  Ive never been part of a takeover though.  If people were simply convinced that this isn't a scam, the price could easily be 100x what it is today

We can easily get the community to back you and any other competent dev or devs to take over. I for one will be willing to donate 25-50% of my holdings to a dev fund, as long as everything stays transparent and the new devs are committed and devoted to the project. But first we have to wait till the shieldcoindev responds and lets this happen. Maybe we can PM them in a respectful manner and show our concerns that way, because clearly they dont get the message. And whoever got their information and threatedned them (if that did in fact happen) please gtfo.
