We can easily get the community to back you and any other competent dev or devs to take over. I for one will be willing to donate 25-50% of my holdings to a dev fund, as long as everything stays transparent and the new devs are committed and devoted to the project. But first we have to wait till the shieldcoindev responds and lets this happen. Maybe we can PM them in a respectful manner and show our concerns that way, because clearly they dont get the message. And whoever got their information and threatedned them (if that did in fact happen) please gtfo.

this is open source. all we have to do is fork the github and create a new ann thread.

I would also like a take over and could devote some time to it. The way I see this happening is we hire a dev and pay them when they deliver either in btc/dollars or collect and give them an amount of shield. But we first have to finalise the situation with the original devs.. we need to elect a spokesperson to talk to them and set the deal for once.

This sounds good to me. What does the rest of the community thing. We should get someone to try to PM the dev and sort this out, because according to his last post, we might have to wait another month for an update, which is absurd and should not be tolerated.

@Miridor, it sounds like the dev can deliver? Really? We have to wait a month for the next update according to him...and he hasnt responded to any of the real questions and accusations. It sounds like the dev is incompetent. Even a week or even just a few days is enough time to kill this coin for good.

even without features it only has a 1 million coin count.

btc pushing into the coin will cause the price to increase. even the announcement of a new dev team that is working on the project and updating the thread often could move the coin up.

im hoping someone will dump through the orders at bittrex right now. shield coin at 600 sats is an unbeatable idea.

anyone who bought in high like i did pretty much should be nibbling and accumulating now to reduce that average price. it will make climbing out of the hole easier.

when the dev team stabilizes i can help arranging a proper pump to restore shld to some of its former glory

I am down with the takeover. I have reason to believe amongst us we have over 51% of shield so a fork is possible if need be. What was lacking we must make now a priority. We must develop a roadmap and agree on it. Whether its hiring devs,bounties,etc.transparencyis key.perhaps we. Need a new irc as well. I wish to elaborate butwill be in meetings all night. I will be on and off as I check sporadically. We must move quickly but not sloppily. Remember....transparencyand communication will make shield .

All the excuses sound far too coincidental. Why should the 99 Design competition get pulled because someone got threatened? It doesn't make a difference, if someone has your details they have them, it has nothing to do with the competition.

Well, in any case, if whoever takes the coin forward wants to use this feel free. Can add typography to it, recolour it, do nice renders of it from different angles etc.
