I don't understand how an upcoming announcement is discouraging you from staking your coins? It would seem to me like the more coins you have, the better...

No, I'm trying to make sure I don't get caught in a dump from others. This coin is still very new and I would love for it it to succeed, but I need to be cautious with my investments.

How long until the dev comes back from vacation? And what main dev goes on vacation the exact same week they release a coin? Its like starting a company/business and then telling all the employees, investors and board of directors that you will taking a vacation that same week. Successful CEOs make a startup and work their asses off for months and sometimes years before any vaca. Just my 2 cents.

A:
lead developer is going to go on a 10 day retreat to work on integrating block chain analysis resistance into the Stealth Coin protocol, starting tomorrow

Stake and you shall see. It's awesome! Better than mine, wait, it's better than mine because it's FREE! I have been with XC for 1 month and never get any stake even though it keep saying stake in 50 second. I think XC staking have some kind of issue. XST stake work perfect!

Unlock your wallet. Settings>Unlock Wallet. Then just enter your passphrase. The other way is via the console: Help>Debug Window>Console. Type: walletpassphrase xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 9999999 true The 9999999 refers to the amount of seconds that you wish to leave your wallet open for Staking. The xxxxxxxxxx is your passphrase (your encryption password) Once you have entered that string, click on the red bar to clear the text/passphrase from your console for security reasons. Personally I have yet to get my wallet to actually sync and have tried most suggestions, but it still fails. Will wait now until a new working wallet is released. Bit worrying leaving the coins on BITtrex, but at least they are safe there. Sent 20 to my wallet fine, then sent a test 6K 2 days ago (just after sending the first 20 coins) and they have yet to arrive, so not sending the full 308K to the wallet until syncing is sorted out. This is the only wallet I have come across that has had this many issues so far with regards syncing.

You need to unlock your wallet for stake before any staking take place. If you have coin in your wallet for three days but without unlock then it would do nothing, no stake.

OK 3 of my wallets are now out of sync, it see the block alright but it never can download. this happen from block 8984 and it is now 9148 and counting, almost 200 straight blocks in 20 minutes. I have to admitted weird wallet and someone must know what is going on. Checkout wallet RzBxwRLTSWR14F8iCKJQraWFYtE8t5kHQZ. once it's out of syn it will never able to sync again. my other 2 wallets are keeping up alright.

yea the wallet sucks..
they should answer this
Please try the following under "Network Connections", right click and edit your connection then go to IPv4 and IPv6 as follows: The Google Public DNS IP addresses (IPv4) are as follows:
8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 The Google Public DNS IPv6 addresses are as follows:
2001:4860:4860::8888 2001:4860:4860::8844Does this work? Been having wallet sync problems too - even tried these DNS settings, temporarily disabling AV/Firewall, deleting peer file and block files... ran with -rescan and -reindex, but no luck. So I reset my settings to normal (DNS, AV/FW) and simply opened up the Help --> Debug Window immediately after launching the wallet. Oddly enough I finally got a full sync after that. Could be coincidence/luck but may be worth a shot for anyone having the same issue.
