Maybe they're dumping because the wallet isnt even syncing. Not with correct peers, not with correct conf. Atleast it should scare alot if not all new investors.  Roll Eyes

Why not start over from scratch?

- Backup your wallet.dat file.

- Delete entire BitcoinDark folder from AppData->Roaming

- Run bitcoindark-qt.exe

- add the BitcoinDark.conf from OP to Appdata->Roaming->Bitcoindark folder

- Restart bitcoindark-qt.exe

- It might sit there for 30 minutes doing nothing before it starts syncing

You had quite a few coin huh CrazyNewb?  By my estimation, that's close to 5k coins you've offloaded recently.  I'm curious why you wait for the price to drop before you sell Huh.  So far though, with the nice rise in UNITY, it's working to your advantage Smiley

Try renaming your configuration file to: Bitcoindark.conf

My configuration file has a lowercase d...maybe it's case sensitive.

Guys my wallet doesnt sync. Ive added nodes from the OP to my conf file, and also Altcoin center's nodes. Ive also downloaded the full blk0001.dat And put it in the appdata/btcd map. Still no single connection  Embarrassed

I think it is case sensitive...

Was the big D in the OP the guilty party?

Thanks for that numbers. What I dont get is the number of coins held in MGW. Obviously the multisig addresses are not displayed. Also it seems there are roughly 300k coins on MGW.  Huh

Yeah I was also curious about that. Maybe they are tokens?

Your work is appreciated, hover I hope most people understand that 'rich lists' are meaningless.  Anyone with a large amount of coins can (and should/does) distribute them across smaller wallets.  99% of the largest wallets are not owned by individuals but belong to exchanges, mining pools, or payment processors, etc...  This applies to all altcoins, LTC, DOGE, DC, ZET, etc..

Yeah, that is true. I just did this for fun. Looking at some 10K or 5K wallets, it seems that some big whale split this share into many relatively small wallets.

So I have looked up the SuperNET and NXT newsletters recently and got some questions.

So BTCD will be used as reference currency on InstaDEX and that is one of the main pitch for BTCD, other than Teleport and Tradebot.

I personally think that Teleport will draw good attention but I am not sure about InstaDEX and Tradebot.

Is there any perk of using InstaDEX or BTCD as reference currency?

It is true that being a reference currency can be good for that currency as there will be more demand for that.

However, LTC and Doge have also used as reference currency, but the volume is pretty much nothing compared to BTC's volume.

This is especially true when you trade some coins directly with BTC or other more popular currencies.

I would be glad if I could get an answer for my questions.

      Thanks

My syncing problem just solved itself after leaving the wallet open for 14+ hours. Crazy.  Cheesy

Anyone has an idea why the BTCD price is staying behind so much on the late SuperNet rise?
I really hope BTCD follows soon. Is the development still on track?

I check the rich list I posted sometimes and there's pretty much no change in top 50, which accounts for 60% of total BTCD.

Considering some 5K-split wallets, more than 2/3 of total BTCD supply stay still and thus, it is not that hard for 1 trading bot to manipulate the price.

IMHO, price staying behind is nothing to do with lack of development or something, it is more due to lack of interest in BTCD.

I can see many things are going on in Slack so I believe that the price will go up once BTCD gets some momentum, but it's hard to forecast when it will happen.

That's why I am just staking at the moment.

It's all in the OP, no need to parse newsletters...

"(BTCD) is the conversion coin between different currencies for SuperNET"...
Implies that it will play a similar role to XRP on the Ripple network.

Also, BTCD will stake 5% of SuperNET revenues, that's the Big One = low risk play on SuperNET...
If SuperNET revenue disappoints UNITY is overpriced... but BTCD can still win the anon coin sweepstakes regardless.

It seems that all resources are being poured into SuperNET, which is the best strategy...
The time to promote BTCD heavily will come... James has made it clear over and over that BTCD is central.

unlike exchanges that offer DOGE or whatnot as reference currency, the usage of BTCD as the reference currency will be automated.

So to trade from anything to anything, it does 2 BTCD trades. It also means that from BTCD you are one trade away from all the other currencies and also the fact that it is in BTCD means it can be teleported

you are understanding well the plan. The bigger SuperNET becomes, the better for BTCD. And yes it is the XRP role in InstantDEX, not to mention teleport.

BTCD is in a totally unique position. When InstantDEX is active, there will be a lot more trading volumes and even if the price doesnt go up, having a lot of volumes in and of itself makes a currency more valuable.

Once I start sending out the first dividends and SuperNET keeps growing, the smart investors will discover the BTCD at the center of it all.

Until then, stake away. Oh, I have a really powerful feature coming with the initial release, but I will refrain from posting details, since last time I did many people got all confused
