Double-Divs to Stakers this week

Week 28: 20 BTCD have been paid to 570 unique BitcoinDark addresses for successfully staking blocks 842605-853390

Week 29: 18 BTCD have been paid to 577 unique BitcoinDark addresses for successfully staking blocks 853391-863441

Thanks for staking and supporting the BitcoinDark network.

Exciting development still continues on Iguana.  Btcddev has posted some updates but most all of the action is taking place on slack.  We're really excited to get Iguana out to the community for testing soon.  It has been a long road, but in the case of Bitcoindark, the wait will be worth it.

Thanks guys.  And btw, I don't forsee any delays paying dividends until the end of January, so expect divs to be back on a weekly schedule for over the next month.

Nice job guys we will let this coin slowly tripple in the coming weeks.

How do you know the price will triple?
How are you going to let the price triple?
You say "we". Who are "you"?
You have subscribed to bitcointalk a few hours ago.

This is great news, glad to see things moving along.

I have been a fan for quite some time(early mining days) and continue to follow progress

Wow guys, i will be totally happy if we get a simple 50% in price and  get more buyers into it, Would be really nice to have a 10x in price but i think it will only happen if some big whales want to go in, let's see what the price do the next weeks

Don't forget that someone paid 10000 bitcoins to buy a $25 pizza some years ago. 10x is really nothing

BTCD must be the most undervalued crypto, especially now that most of the functionality that was intended for NXT is now attached to BTCD.

Once people understand what Iguana is/does (middleware) then I can see x10 almost instantaneously, then more growth when the alt market picks up in the second half of 2016.

Glad I got enough funds to buy more.

Absolutelly agree with that, my only worry is about some similar projects being developed simultanously and can compete with iguana but really BTCD dev is a trusted  and  indostrious man, lets hope 2016 to be rhe great year of BTCD

Good article from Charlie Lee (Litecoin dev) on the economic incentives at play in the bitcoin network, including blocksize debate

TL,DR - bitcoin network today is good for security & decentralization, but wont suit ALL transaction types

The solution:

Quote
Bitcoin is not one-size-fits-all

I contend that we should design bitcoin for security and decentralization above all else.

Transactions that need the highest security and decentralization will need to pay the higher transaction fees required to use the bitcoin network. Not all transactions can afford this fee, but then they likely don’t need the security and decentralization.

And that's perfectly fine.

They can use litecoin and altcoins, sidechains, payment channels, the Lightning Network, off-blockchain networks, and other yet to be created networks to send those transactions.

Heck, they can still use Visa if merchants are willing to pay the fees.

You would use bitcoin to buy a house or a car. A 60-minute wait and a $1 fee for an extremely secure, decentralized and irreversible transaction is perfectly fine.

If you are buying coffee and need a cheap but fast transaction and don’t care about security or decentralization, you can use litecoin, the Lightning Network, sidechains or even Starbucks off-blockchain transactions.

As long as everything is seamless, users don’t care. Transactions will be routed to the payment network that makes the most sense based on the needs of that transaction type.

Technologies like on-chain swaps, the Lightning Network, payment channels and sidechains will allow seamless and cheap and free conversions between bitcoin and everything else.

Wallets will hide all that complexity from users. We are not there yet, but that future is very exciting. Not every transaction will be native to bitcoin, but every person will use bitcoin.

"Wallets will hide all that complexity from users" - that's SuperNET & BTCD right there folks!!

hmmm... in OP, under Wallets : Windows : bitbucket link ask you to be logged in and mega link give a file not found error.
new url is bitcoindark.com not bitcoindark.pw and OP is still pointing all to the .pw
btcd have a new logo, the OP still use the old.
etc...

when searching for bitcoindark on google, this bct page come at first. it's the first thing newcomers and new adopters/investors will see.

this announcement OP need to be updated, imho.  If we want to get more reach and adoption, OP need to be up-to-date.
