FUCK DEDICATED!!, 20 minutes after launch they STILL hadnt flipped the switch, I finally switched to suchpool, but was 20 minutes late to the party By the time I got in, the diff was over 360!! Agreed. They took forever and still not finding blocks. Suchpool has found many more...

Triple dipping! Don't forget the 280 block instamine. i guess i missed that , to much hash on it anyway , it will be less in few days if history repeats itself, not that i want to mine.

Triple dipping! Don't forget the 280 block instamine. The premine and the postmine are used for different things. Premine is for a lot of the services a coin requires at launch such as exchanges, plus bounties to add value so that you are not mining something worthless. Postmine is allocated towards the cost of keeping the services going. As for the instamine, we are not miners but we do know that some people have gotten very good at being first to mine launches. Either a pool or a really fast solo miner got the first few blocks before difficulty adjustment caught up, not much we can do about that. All in all, launch was a success in my book. We have decent hash and we have been live for only 1 hour. Now to turn our attention to exchanges.

Instamine can't be of 280 blocks.. SuchPool got in with large hashrate from block 151, so if there is an instamine it's before those. I know chickenstrips was up a bit before us, so probably instamined by all of you mining if instamine there is.

No easy way to know how many dev got (private pool, rented rigs etc) of course.

Most of those blocks are on chickenstrips, starting with block 3. http://apex.chickenstrips.net/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks&height=20&prev=1Chickenstrips was up before the dev posted the source and the wallet, so the only way to get those blocks was to mine on chickenstrips from the start.

I see what you mean. However, we felt that without bounties to pay out we would not be able to provide the quality service required for a successful coin. You may think that the premine is holding the coin back, but we see it as one of the things that will help the coin advance. There are lots of services out there in the crypto world, and rarely are they free. All together, charityblocks + premine is still only 2% of PoW, and they are being paid out, not dumped. GOGO 40gh!

Running a community is hard work so I don't think it's such a big deal, the devs deserve a little something. Besides the OP is open about it and it's fairly small. Did you not hear about dinosaurcoin's dev? They had a hidden premine of 36% and when caught, they pretended the dirty code was removed, it was hilarious nonetheless. I'd like to see where this goes, everything seems to be working just fine.

Why did everyone migrate to Dedicated Pools after they screwed up the launch? SuchPools was working fine and had the most hashrate, but i figured that in a few hours everyone would migrate back to dedicated.
