Hold strong, friend. We will make an announcement later tonight. Just finalizing some things first. Crypto, and APEX, is here to stay.

Don't mean to sound too negative, but perhaps you should change the coin's logo to that of a fish ... very fishy behavior all around on this coin. It's either a lesson in price manipulation, or in ineptitude -- not sure which yet.

We are sorry you feel that way, but we had to learn some lessons by ear, and rather than sit and argue with the community, we felt we could get more done if we focused our energies on providing results to do the talking for us. We understand that there is no real way for the community to confirm whether we were really working in the background or not, but we felt it was more important to show with results, especially after we could not deliver on Tor as intended.

Well, you did keep some communication going at least. Like commenting you wouldn't release anything at all and sort of confirming in your own mind that a coin takeover took place. Great way to kill the price of the coin there.

We apologize for that, but at the time we thought the takeover was what the community wanted, so we wanted to give them a chance. However, we continued to work on the wallet in the background in case they did not follow through.

What a strange game this is.

I can't even tell if this the intended plan.  Well, hopefully there is a plan and they've got something good to show off soon.

So dev, when do you expect to have something real to show the community?

Thanks!

Definitely need new features - something surprising, something everybody would love to see in a new coin.

That's the only thing that will outdo the "mixup" here.

Hello Community,

We apologize again for how things have been handled in the last few days, or even weeks, that have lost APEX confidence from the community. We hope to rectify those mishaps in the coming months.

The first thing we would like to make right is the promise of new features. With that, we are pleased and proud to announce that we have successfully implanted the webkit into APEX's wallet. Sorry for the delay, but we needed to hire a new dev to teach us the inner workings of the tech, but what that means now is that a lot of new features will be possible, and we plan to release new features on a regular basis.

The first version will have Bittrex and Cryptsy exchanges built in, the two exchanges that currently trade APEX, so users can log in and trade right from the wallet. However, that is only the beginning. The next version will allow users to log into Facebook, Twitter, and IRC. The possibilities after that are endless, and we are deciding which direction to take it.

As promised, here are the screens one day before release of the new wallet.

Wallet v2.0 - 8/6 - Built in Bittrex/Cryptsy exchange
Wallet v2.1 - 8/15 - Built in Facebook/Twitter/IRC
Wallet v2.2 - 8/29 - TBA

The second subject we would like to discuss is the issue of the flow of news. We can have all the latest and greatest features, but if no one knows we have implemented them, then all that effort may go to waste. Until we integrate a better system into our website, and possibly the wallet itself, we will be reading all questions and comments on this thread and on twitter/facebook, and make at least 1 post every day to address questions and issues. Hopefully that will be enough to keep the community in the loop.

We would also like to announce that we will be entering a marketing phase during and after the release. If you can help in this department, please do so. Once we release, show your support by letting the world know that APEX is not another scamcoin, and we are here to not only survive, but thrive.

Here is a quick video of the wallet in action, and some of the things you can currently do with the generation 2 wallet:

http://youtu.be/eMSWcjFcUp0

Also, to clear the air, there is currently no takeover. As far as we know, it was FUD.
