Another Top Interview Richard, when are we going to see Joel in the newspapers or doing interviews?  Hes turning into a recluse!

Also Great looking Tees, they are perfect for when IOC attends meet up, blockchain meetings and such.

Believe in the impossible and make it Possible.

Great to see community members doing something for this project! I am sure many more here can also help in some way.
Seems like its getting a good time to fill up some bags, just going to wait a little longer, people are getting crazy over this BTC rise.

Keep up the great work everyone!

PS: I found a Pro Tip for all you guys staking, are you aware of transaction bloat? It is the main cause of wallets working sluggishly and causing more orphans. All you have to do is open coin control, go to send, click inputs at the top left and it will show you your wallet addresses and some numbers in brackets

EG: (567)  (432)  (789)  anything over 700 is high, anything over 1,000 is really bad.

Simply use coin control to send your balance, to the same address.

EG:  address 1  shows (678)  and a balance of 57000.

Send 57000  (leave the dust .1254) back to the same address.

Check again and you will find the number in brackets now only says (2) as you have reset it.

Think of this like running ccleaner or a disk defrag for your wallet.  Do this for all addresses and watch the magic happen, you will get more stake rewards and wallet will feel brand new again. Got to thank slack members @Myco @d3m0nkingx @wasda and @idol for their help.

If you don't know who I am, then maybe your best course would be to tread lightly

Development Update:

We have a successful implementation of our base encryption change to AES for messages  chat history. We have delivered the new beta daemon plus wallet UI to our data centers. Tomorrow morning we begin Testnet of this latest changes to the wallet as we will take a few hours off.

These changes now allow for users to see their sent & inputed messages in the chat pane.

we had to make changes to the DIONS code itself to ensure we had this added feature in wallet

preliminary test went well now is testnet with all the wallets. once the data handler is placed in the wallet, we are going to be taking some screenshots which are the final screens for the Infographics and we will roll out soon after our meeting with our country managers and decide on date for release.

Cheers,

update!

We got the chat history now working. As you can see green bubble is incoming white bubble is outgoing. When I type and send I can read the message sent, just like in Slack or any other centralized app. Messages are encrypted between Wallet 1 and Wallet 2. We are now going to fix a small issue where the messages come in out of order nothing major but overall the major functionalities are in.

HTML5 DIONS Wallet Running on Windows 10

We have a list of minor things to do that came up during beta, making cogwheels work, buttons function like staking, cleaning up some panes. This again is nothing major or coding intensive just routine things. Derek has the list of things on hands for todo and currently is on task, along with the addition of data handler and avatar. Once this is done we can run the scaling tests to ensure a smooth release.

Just as a reminder if you are planning on sticking with us for the very very long haul I/O Coins are staking power which means they give you higher chances for confirming transactions and earning fees (Like Mining)  all Messages, Data Upload and Alias registration will generate fees added to the staking rewards.

Cheers,

So, you will have to have a wallet to send or receive messages, of course.  Each message will require a fee to send, but if you are staking a number of coins, you should get back a percentage of fees.  Somewhere in there would be a balance between sending a certain amount messages and getting the fees back in staking with enough coins.

I am just very interested in the ability to make the Twitter like service without the central authority.  I can see a wallet as an app, enough like downloading Twitter, but the need to pay fees to run the network would be a sticking point.  People that love to use message services use the hell out of them, that would make the fees too much.

Using the message feature along with business application of the IOC block-chain certainly seems to be a perfect match with acceptable costs, but I think this could be bigger.

I know you guys are working it all out, so keep up the good work.  Just like to get my two IOCs in every so often.

I think the problem with shapeshift was the huge differential between the buy and sell price, most likely due to low liquididty or low volume.  That would also be a reason to drop it.

The text / messages are on the far right.

Would be much better in the standard position of far left?

I think they can play with it all they want after it is working.  (Should be able to allow customized looks I would think, but let's worry about looks afterwards)

IO symbols should have a contract between them and they should be shaking hands.
