I have one wallet synched and on block 10883[used bootstrap started at 10881, old laptop win xp 32 bit]
My wallet on this comp keeps crashin right after it gets a connection[win8].

try deleting both blk*.dat files in your %appdata%\roaming\triangles folder and place the bootstrap.dat from the archive there. does it work then?

yep.

did u make a backup of that triangles folder in %appdata%\roaming? if yes, start over with that backup.

if u only delete those blk-files and start your wallet then - without the bootstrap - does it come up? if it does, close it again, place the bootstrap there then.

my wallet on win7 runs and is synced. win8 wallet will crash as soon as it gets a connection. backed up all files and then started a  fresh new wallet. new wallet runs fine, but no coins to stake.

could u try to run it with the "-connect=lkta5xj5nlnxxmrt.onion:24112" switch? or did u already do that?

Synced, crashed, and will now crash again after opening and as soon as it gets a connection to the network.

What also helps and works  - i just checked it:

Delete everything from your triangles folder in roaming. everything but wallet.dat, peers.dat. triangles.conf (if u have it). put the bootstrap.dat into that folder. start the wallet - it rebuilds everything including the database. should always work.
 

Something that StephenJH might also try.

(always - always - ALWAYS make a backup!)
