Definitely. p2p is absolutely the way to go. I live near the Sony lot and they're STILL in a shambles, their company-wide system down, doing stuff by pen and paper!
I'm actually curious to see if any large companies will see decentralized storage as the way to go in the near future. If the tech is sound then it sounds like a no brainer, security wise, but the idea of decentralization seems to run counter to their very centralized mentalities. Enabling the little guy to be a part of the storage of their files seems like a hard sell to begin with...; ) I think with the right pitch, Storj is capable of making inroads. At the start, I think Storj should consider approaching not-for-profit organizations like Archive.Org and Freemusicarchive.org. I'm sure they'd be more receptive to a cheaper, decentralized tech. Once they're on board, it would be easier to approach medium-sized firms. Edit: Amusing story of how Facebook employers bought every available fan at Walgreens to prevent equipment in the server room from melting. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/23/technology/data-centers-waste-vast-amounts-of-energy-belying-industry-image.html?pagewanted%3Dall&_r=0

Total supply: 500,000,000 coins Protocol: Issued on top of Counterparty (XCP)
Noob question. As of now, only 41,464,404 SJCXs have been generated. Why are they generated in increments instead of only once?

500 milions have been already created as assets in counterparty protocol. No more can be created ever. 30% of them will be held as payment for development and community work. The others will slowly be given in crowdsales, beta testers payment, giveaways and other means that are open for discussion. For instance here https://storjtalk.org/index.php?topic=2261.0;topicseenyou may find the latest open discussion about the future crowdsale give them your opinion guys!

Are there any other exchanges that carry SJCX? Now that the price is lower on BTC, getting that 10,000 SJCX to participate in the testing rounds is much more attractive.

Yes that is correct. We are now on 5 exchanges. The last one ALTS.TRADE is the most recent one they only added us yesterday I believe.

May be an IRC channel for SJCX would be a good thing to enlarge its community.

we need trex. I don't trade in any of those sites I don't think that Trex does any asset type of coins - and I believe that Storj is currently a part of CounterParty (clarification)? Not sure why Trex won't do that; there are plenty of good coins that they are missing out on... I recommend Poloniex from the list above. In many ways, it is better than Trex in my opinion...the only relevant difference is volume (but Storj volume is pretty large on Polo).

The Storj Team has already contacted Bittrex about listing SJCX, but it would be up to them to make the necessary adjustments in order to make SJCX listing possible. Most likely, this will happen in time as the Storj project progresses and gains acceptance.
