It depends.

My best answer to this is that for the storage of data, you might make $25 per TB or you might get $5 per TB.   

The way to make money is on egress.  The data that is downloaded from your node.  The more a renter pulls on your data, the more you will make.  Some people have over 10TB of data and made $300-$500.   However, you can't control how much is pulled off your data.  That is just up to the renter to decide what he wants to do with it. 

So on one hand, you could make a little bit of money storing data, but if you can deliver that data you can make a lot more money.  Eventually, being paid to hold the data will become small, so most farmers will make their money on egress.  This is where the money is.

Good to know this great news. Finally Storj has stepped out from a cryptocurrency to real world application. Although Storj storage sharing always an application but still a lot of people see it as a coin. Hope to see great success in future.

It was too bad that rent harddisk space at Storj does not make much profit, maybe because of competitive cloud storage services in the market currently.

And farming requires HD space not graphics cards or asics.

Don't worry about the price at the moment, alot of alt coins price dropped due to BTC rise, price will resume back to normal once BTC is stable.
