I made a translation to german: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=767079.0

The guidelines for threads are still in english, I will translate them tomorrow or so.
Added to the credits, thanks.

I didn't know you were listing translations in the OP :-)

The Portuguese version is at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=759695.0

Thanks,

Adriano

FWIW, I adapted the guidelines for threads so they talk about the spanish sections, so that part isn't really a translation but brand new content. You may want to do the same for german (although the english-speaking demographics in Germany is quite different, dunno Smiley).

Shorena has made the translation for the "guidelines for threads" today. I implemented it now and our work is done.
The german version is fully translated.

Thanks to everybody who contributed to this.

I might add a new section with less important info, although not now. Also, what do you mean by "also 1st line of op s/user/users"?

I think he means "…written can be overlooked by user who don't pay much attention…", change "user" to "users". It's in the second line in my browser though, he must have a really wide screen/small fonts/both.

Hello I am new to the Forum, and have been in Bitcoin for 1 year now.  A friend and I are starting a Pool that is up to 34 workers and 26THs, but I saw that listing Pools is a no no.  The pool is 0% fees and I was wanting to know how to get the word out if I can not list it on This forum.  I would understand I could only post it once or twice in the appropriate location on the forum.  Is there a way for me to tell people about this pool with out breaking the rules.  Thanks in advance for all your help.  And to the moon we goooooooooo!!!! Cheesy

The rule you are referring to says that you can't post your pool in OTHER people's threads if they're not asking for it (a.k.a. advertise). Creating a thread about ypur pool in the appropriate board is allowed.

If it's a Bitcoin pool, you can post it in the Pools board (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=41.0) and if it's an altcoin pool you can post it in the Mining  (Altcoins) board (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0).

Will change it tomorrow, a bit too tired and lazy to do it now.

Done, sorry for the delay.

Also, added one question to the FAQ on account of a flood of PMs regarding such matters:

Quote
Q: Do you moderate/delete (possible) FUD, accusations and untrue information?
A: No. We don't have enough time to check every single piece of information and verify the validity of the sources. Also, just like scams - too much room for bias and abuse.

There's nothing about ban evasion in these rules. Is it intentional? Or everybody overlooked it? Tongue

Isn't that kind of self explanatory? If you escape prison and they catch you, they put you in for a longer amount of time.

I agree it is, but sometimes it's useful to point to a specific written rule. You might recall that my motivation to the spanish translation was to be able to tell a troll what the rules were. Ok, now that troll has been permabanned but he keeps on creating new accounts, and there's no specific written rule to point to. Self-explanatory and all that, yes, but these people have a… err different mind set Smiley.

Good point, added rule 25 with an explanation:

Quote
25. Ban evasion (creating new accounts when the old one is banned) is not allowed.[e]

Quote
25. If you get banned (temporary or permanently) and create a new account to continue posting / sending PMs, it's considered ban evasion. The only exception is creating a thread in Meta about your ban.

Suggested a german translation here [1] and took the liberty to add words which make clear that not only a new account is not allowed but only the use of an existing different account.
