Why don't you halt betting?

The code in question has been identified and removed, and the guy has been sacked. Why to halt betting? Everything works normally, including deposits/withdrawals

because obviously someone is betting with the server seed.

I'm not trying to jump on any sides here, but nobody has any proof that mateo is "hack-betting."  I hardly think one whale's 100 BTC profit is something worth recognizing as being more than a coincidence.  These whales come and go, and I've seen them numerous times over the past month alone on various sites.

Also, Madl has been processing thousands of BTC's worth of withdrawals over the past few hours.  Give him some time to sort through everything that he has to sort through and figure out what he's going to do.  This is TWO people dealing with hordes of people shoving shit in their faces.  Whether it's warranted or not is irrelevant, the point is that they NEED TIME to fix everything.

I was online when this issue started on DB.  Should have withdrawn my investment then and am starting to doubt the 'lucky' gambler story suddenly having a great winning streak just as this issue was blowing up.  

In the few hours that have passed, the site's operator has been busy giving refunds and trying to track down the cause of the problem.  Its been less than 12 hours, so I doubt a FULL audit of all the code used to operate the site has been done.  Everything should be checked.  Deposits, withdrawals, investment calculations, all the servers and PCs for backdoors.  Who knows what else the rogue developer has left.  If they were willing to cheat before they are sure to see no problem in stealing now.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see a "whale" win 300 coins off investors and then those same funds used to pay off people who were scammed to keep this going.

Note the timestamp. Either DB is going to continue to go for this route or have the whale lose back funds and be like "look we're legit!"

While I think you are trying to do the right thing, you should stop betting at the site.  "Mateo" had a winning streak and many think it is you stealing from the investors to cover the expenses you'll have making the gamblers whole.  Even I (along with dooglus) thought it might be the fired employee.

You are under tremendous stress and getting attacked from all sides.  Best thing to do is suspend betting until you can check over the code and make sure it's all good.  Figure out how much you owe the gamblers who were effected.  Continue to allow investors who want to to withdraw their funds.

DO keep posting updates here.  This more than anything gives you some credibility.  You may want to turn chat back on, even if you are not active in it as you have a lot of work to do checking all the logs.

I agree with you, you are not acting like a scammer, but many people are understandably upset and happy to believe the worst about you and your site.  

I do wish you the best in getting this sorted out.

Everything has been checked. The user in question is legit(we thought exactly the same). If yuo notice, all his bets are HI. Not even a low one. We went though the code 12h non stop now, and its 100% clear.

The point is that just hours ago they apparently didn't know that this rogue employee had snuck some dodgy code onto their server so that players would lose more than they should. I doubt they've had a chance to audit the server fully to see what other changes he managed to make. Perhaps he added more code which leaks server seeds for instance.

Mateo was +100BTC (profit), after the "rogue employee fiasco", Mateo's account is +0; what can Mateo do?? it is simple, he can freeroll for the amount of 100BTC because if he loses he gets paid those 100BTC because he would be in a net loss of those 100BTC!!!

That's very interesting. Anyone who lost all their profit to the nonce-skipping cheat now has nothing to lose, since if they go into negative profit they qualify for a refund. That could explain mateo's crazy betting.

Can you provide portions of your time stamped version control repository so we can verify there is actually a third person, a malicious commit, and a rollback? It's probably not an issue now that slight amounts of code will be released from this.

Why can't you see that it would make things a lot easier for you and everyone involved if you shut the site down until you sort out the mess? It would remove the allegations of someone playing with the server seed. On the other hand, might be too late for that.

I would say that all bets that were made starting when the "bug" started should be rolled back. This is the most fair and reasonable thing to do.

Even if this mean some people who were "lucky" (meaning who happened to bet at a good time) will lose out on some of their profit, it will keep the integrity of the site.

I also think that betting should be halted until you can be 100% certain that your code is allowing a fair game to be played by both the gamblers and the investors.
