After 1.5 hours, it just popped up that the transaction failed. Now ether has dropped nearly $4, since I initially executed my trade, so I am out a lot of money on the trade, not to mention, I have to email support for a refund. Now I am just hoping I get my refund in a timely manner, but I lost over $500 since the time my trade was executed.

They should honor the price I Locked in at. I traded while Ether was above $30 I believe and I sent well over 100 ETH. I didn't get my BTC, and I don't have my ETH back yet either. Edit: I just heard back from their support, and they said that the trade "exceeded the time limit" and that they are working on a refund. The ETH I sent was received by them with 8 minutes left to go on the clock. Based on the conversion I locked in at the time, I should be receiving several BTC instead of my initial ETH back. I will report back on how this is resolved, but if they were fair, they would send me the BTC instead of refunding the ETH which is now at a lower price  OK, at east you are talking about a few hours...I tried to convert ETH since a day and half now. They have held my funds, and responded with a canned response. I suspect they are bidding for time to take advantage of markets. This is making me HATE centralized services even more. and to make it worse I am in an urgent need of those funds Like I suspected after waiting so long, they did nt send me my eth back..They sent btc instead....whic was 2 days price diffeence to take advantage of the price increase of ETH. It had nothing to do with being Locked. Transacton failed after waiting for 2 days in distress and they promised to send me my Eth back as noted by one of their employees Emily see here :  But they realized the value gain in Eth and decided to send me back current BTC value to scalp and "unsuspecting customer" this was the actual pic I meant to quote I was told I would have my money by the end of the day and I am still waiting....This is starting to really bother me because the whole point of Shapeshift.io is that it is supposed to be instant. I am waiting on a lot of money too |

I tried to transfer Dash to Bitcoin through ShapeShift but my transaction failed, https://www.shapeshift.io/#/status/495f87dd-cadc-403a-bee3-3f9f4f97c7caIn the transaction I supplied a return address for my Dash account, in case of problems, however the Dash has not been returned to my ledger wallet yet. I have also contacted customer support seven hours ago, and have only received an automated response. Is ShapeShift a reputable organization? How do I get my Dash back? |

If you wouldn't publish your conversations, they would keep your ETH for several days, sell it for 5 BTC and send you 3 BTC. That was their original intent. They are holding my Bitcoins for 11 days now, pretending they didn't know address to refund, even if you can't make order without pasting refund address. Several people I know had their funds "halted" for 5-7 days lately. What Shapeshift does is take (mostly) Bitcoins deposits, purchase altcoins growing in value - ETH,XMR,DASH ... If the value goes up, they will claimed the transaction failed. And return you Bitcoins (they sell part of those altcoins after couple of days to cover refunds). If the value goes down, they will carry on, send you altcoins with current value, claiming the order did accidentally fail at original order date. Or claim the deposit did end in mempool. If you make for example 11 XMR order, the moment the deposit transaction appear on network (unconfirmed), you will see "11 XMR" order on their web.
Then they pull your finger for several days. Cashout altcoins purchased by buyers Bitcoins and send the amount at original price to buyer.I think SHAPESHIFT should go to SCAM list. Their intent is obvious. They are scamming tons of people for lots of money as popular altcoins are on huge upswing now. |

Wait 5-7 days, while they pretend they have "trouble", they don't know your refund address even if they have it. They sell your DASH for price on 22th March and give you rate for 15th March. And they will purchase lots of whisky with money they've stole from you. |

4 Bitcoin in one transaction would fail since it is over the limit, did you add a bitcoin return address to the transaction? |

It now over 24hrs since I initiated the transfer yet no solution. Shapeshift should refund me asap |

Shapeshift the one instant coin exchange that should be use by peoples now, because it's better than using exchanger which requires you to wait for pending orders. Really happy to use it and I hope next the Developer will add more altcoins to exchange. I see many coins in exchangers have been add but useless and only pending order list. Like victorious coin, it has many users but they can't buy/sell/spend it because of this condition.
