SLG looks strong. Its trading at over 2000 sat. I hope the devs soon have some good news to deliver to us before they go for an vacation. In the mean time Im buying some more. Its summer time here and the weather are terrible.  Grin

Price is going up and up. Looks like we will see 3k soon!!

We are minting 500 new coins every day and that is not much. With 2000 sat price its just 1 000 000 sat and that is around $2.4. It would be easy to buy that but there is some traders that want to keep SLG down. So SLG is not under any big pressur and prices should rise soon. A multipool should make a pressure upwards.

Comkort exchange is ceasing operation. So if you have coins there then you have to remove them now. Devs have to remove them from the op.

need some community action in bittrex

This market is in danger of de-listing due to low trade volume and lack of user interest. It may be removed on July 3rd unless the average daily trade volume for the last 7 days exceeds 0.2 BTC.

Yep, this coin is circling the drain now. Activity dropping right off and constant threats from Bittrex.

Such a shame. Looks like Friday will be the day we lose Bittrex as there is just no volume anymore  Sad

True enough.

In any event, this particular problem will finally be resolved when the Cystum multipool is up and running.

What everyone must realise is that us (the developers) are completing freelance work to fund everything. Maybe some help from the community?

How can we help? Help with some funding? Being in more exchanges? more PR? contact UK reporters?

I'm personally taking care that SLG is not delisted from Bittrex, which i think is very important cos is our distribution channel. In more places we are, easier to buy

Your help is duly noted and appreciated. All of the things you mentioned would be a help. Foundation time?

When will multi pool be ready?

The Prohashing site is currently the only one as the official one is still not ready. You can only mine with Scrypt at Prohashing, though.

Out of interest, how many people are behind Prohashing in terms of development? and how long has it been under development before being launched?

The development team appears small and I first noticed them around January but I believe they have been around since 2014. I did not start using their service until the closure of thepool.pw and CoinKing's payments became less reliable.

In my time using the service payments have been consistent and most issues have been cosmetic in nature.

While our development team is small, we do the best that can be done in the low-margin mining business.

In case people are wondering about the general level of effort required, it took about 3600 hours of work to get the pool completed to the first release, and 4200 hours to achieve rock solid stability.  That equals about 12 hours of work per weekend day, minus a few holidays, for two people for 1.5 years.  The hardware expenses maxed out at about $9,750 before we started earning money back.

While a single-coin pool can probably be set up in 50-100 hours and maintained for only a few hundred dollars, creating a multipool is a resource-intensive effort.  I suspect that the reason many pools close is because getting a site online can be done in two months, but the instability caused by having so many pieces of interoperating software requires thousands of hours to resolve.  Once people start to use the pools, they find that for there is always some bug in mining, trading, the website, or something else that wipes out the week's profits, and they probably choose not to devote the year it takes to resolving all these issues one at a time.

Which is why the Cystum multipool is taking its time. Syyyn wants to be sure of its functionality and being bug free.

Quite right, mate!  There are those of us out here who appreciate this and know the value of patience.

Take your time, get it right and SLG will have a great future.  Of that there can be no doubt.   Wink

Totally agreed. Take your time and thanks for your hard work

meanwhile the SLG Community should also contribute to make SLG bigger

Some ideas:

1) Writing to exchanges

- Poloniex          @Poloniex
- Cryptopia        @Cryptopia_NZ
(add more)

2) contact UK reporters

3) Promotional products (stickers, t-shirts, ...)

4) Social Media (Memes, tutorial videos, etc on Twitter and Face)

Oh yes, good point, much sense. You can do this yourself, by simply setting up a bot and getting in the "bubble mode" in which there is no other direction but only up. And you will benefit much because it's easy to produce volume when there is no buying interest.

I'd like to mention that cryptomate.co.uk still has SLG listed. Every Sterlingcoin bought from Cryptomate comes directly from the sell wall on bittrex, to ensure you guys can keep the volume there tell your friends and family to buy.

1. Buy order
2. Sell your coins to your buy order
3. Make enought volume so Bittrex dont delist SLG
4. Stop being an asshole and collaborate instead of trolling
