A very useful facility, I'm sure.

However, when I click on the link, I get an "untrusted connection" warning.

This will not inspire confidence in potential users; please deal with.  Wink

Thanks! Smiley  Bit strange about the untrusted connection though, never seen that before.  What browser are you using?

I'm using Firefox.
However, BitcoinFX's erudite description of how all this stuff works gave me the confidence to add an 'exception'.
The link now works perfectly, without any warnings.  Grin

As I said in my previous post "You should always inspect an SSL certificate to determine why its not valid though, as something bad could also be happening."

Simply adding an exception is not the best solution, specially if something is potentially tampering with the secure connection.

Again, a currently valid 2048-bit COMODO cert. should not be presenting any exception error in a generic / updated version of Firefox.

Here's the location of the Firefox Certificates Store for you to check its in tack. Tools > Option > Advanced > Certificates > View Certificates.

If you are not using any proxy settings, 3rd party public network, VPN and/or alternative DNS settings you might want to consider re-installing Firefox.

HTTPS Everywhere is also a very good Firefox addon to install: https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere

I am using Firefox 35.0.1 on my Windows PC, and it doesn't give any warnings - the corresponding icon near the address bar shows the certificate is considered to be valid. Most probably your version of Firefox is not up-to-date...

And now Bter is hacked. The hackers got 7170 BTC from their cold storage. Exchanges have bad security systems  Roll Eyes

We have now to see what that does to the price of SLG.  Sad

I think there may be a small dip in the BTC price, not from the hacker selling but from worried investors..  As for SLG I don't think it will have any real impact, I'm just glad SterlingCoin was never listed there.  I've been saying for months it was only a matter of time before something like this would happen to BTER, they've always been a fishy exchange and it wouldn't suprise me if the owners were involved.. Tongue

They had a 50 000 000 NXT hack last year  in august. If this hack now means that they will close their exchange then BTC will dip alot. To close to bistamp hack i think. I hope SLG will stand strong.

Yea the NXT hack was pretty bad, lucky they were able to negotiate with the hacker.  I'm not sure the damage to BTC will be that bad, not many people had faith in BTER to begin with so it hasn't come as a huge shock.

I just guess we're all playing the waiting game until the first decentralized exchange opens. Tongue

The dev team is still working on the multipool, they want to make sure that everything is in place before releasing it public. I belive this is the right way to go, if someone does not get their payout in  time it’ll be a bit of complaints and lack of trust.

I have no idea if the closed beta test has started. At least I haven't been invited. But due to the last days fluctuation of the SLG price I suspect that some business have been done by the multipool. Maybe I should by me a more powerful Antminer than my current 2U and 7970 to help the SLG price upwards.
Read more about the multipool and its progress in the following posts:

BTW. Best wishes about your new job.

Maybe I should code a Tipping bot, instead of these well-known DDos bots. I would tip your Wallets until these were overloaded.

Hi m33.  Your coins can start staking interest once they have matured, which can take up to an hour. For more information check out the link below;

A thought. Is there any way to automatically unlock the wallet once it is started?

If I'm not wrong, I may autostart the wallet with Windows. But I'll not stake until I have manually unlocked the wallet.

Yes. There is no need to do it with automatic Its to risky and you gain nothing.

Will I gain the same amount if I stake 1h every quarter, 1h every week or 1h a day as if I stake 24/7?
Realising I have no idea what the criteria behind "PoS Interest: 5.5% Annually" are...
